They had walked quite a ways when she heard it, a whimpering in the distance. Most night the woman might have felt the urge to ignore and move on but the pokemon at her side seemed rather distraught by the sound. With a sigh they sought the source of it out. It wasn't her that found the pokemon of course, but her Gardevoir.
Next thing Isra knew she was healing it without any hesitation and Isra gave the pokemon a look. This was a new development that should it be an issue in Battle Isra was going to have to curb. You don't heal enemies, you heal friends. And until you know if it's a friend or an enemy you do neither.
The sharp whistle brought her pokemon to attention before she'd finished the job. The Typhlosion at her feet continued to Whimper and Isra moved in to inspect the situation closer. It did not take long for the look on the Gardevoir's face to turn sour at having to wait and Isra gave her another sharp whistle, instructing her to move away and when she resisted Isra made note of it. The typhlosion was left to whimper until the psychic type finally obeyed.
Upon closer inspection the pokemon had certainly been wounded and shyed away from her, but was obviously too weak to attack. She wasn't heartless enough to not give her pokemon a gesture of acceptance and allow her to continue healing the pokemon. Objective complete, whether she liked it or not, Isra moved to leave. It was the wild pokemon that stopped her, newly rejuvenated it attempted to attack, turning into a wheel of flame.
The gardevoir reacted before she could, using her psychic ability to deflect the pokemon elsewhere. Isra whistled, her Gardevoir hesitated and missed her chance. Isra noted that this pokemon would need much more field work than originally expected. A sharp whistler interrupted the next attack of the fire type "Pin it." she was firm and the pokemon obeyed.
Though she was uncertain why her gardevoir was so hesitant Isra had a weak spot for pokemon with spunk. While the pokemon was pinned with a psychic attack she threw a ball.
Besides, it wouldn't be the first of her pokemon to attack her, it might make the perfect friend for the hungry dragon.
