[attr="class","lars"] pokemon tag @tag words 309 notes another unexpected catch. Despite him already having Vallen. | While today wasn’t going to be the day he’d find a member of the Treecko line, it would prove to be another unusual encounter.
Despite the fact he already had Vallen (and was content on keeping things that way) he saw a bottle-brush tail poking out of the grass not too far ahead, and decided to get the jump on it. Plucking one of the two Pokéballs he had with him, he popped it to full size and then sent out its occupant in a flash of red light, quickly holding his finger to lips in a shushing gesture as the Fletchinder appeared.
“Flame Charge it, catch it off-guard,” he began, watching as the dual-type then wrapped itself in flames before rocketing forward in a scorching, screeching blast of speed. So surprised was the Eevee, it only heard a shrieking noise before it found itself face-first in the dirt.
Definitely not a good way to start the day, don’t you think?
Annoyed, the Normal-type then hopped up and attempted to take a Bite out of the Fletchinder’s wing, but it had rocketed backwards and was now flying out of reach of the other, forcing the Eevee to yip and howl at its airborne attacker.
“Don’t get caught, Spark. Beat it down!” he added, watching as the Fletchinder used Flame Charge again as the Eevee attempted to retaliate with a Swift attack. Despite the other attack hitting it head-on, the dual-type surged past it, slamming its flaming body into the Normal-type again, flying up after another attempt to Bite its wings failed.
Again and again the two Pokémon clashed, and again and again the Fletchinder kept coming out on top. It wasn’t until one last Acrobatics attack did the Eevee finally collapse, and before it could realize what had happened a beam of red light shot out to capture it.
