In a world of wondrous creatures of different shapes and sizes, drampa were one of many pokemon that stood out as an absurdity to Sebastian. They were so incoherent. It was built like a snake with the head of a goofy old man, and its appendages didn't appear to be optimal as either legs or wings. It sufficed to say Sebastian was not too bothered with the prospect of hunting one down. His only reason for being in Oldale Town was the fact that one such drampa had been terrorizing the rural settlement, and he had planned to be in the area regardless.

"Well, at least it is fairly easy to track."

His amber disks had been scanning several trails - each a large channel with a softer trench at each side, that ran into some trees along the outskirts of Oldale Town. Reports said it came storming through the town around the same time each day. Given the concentration of tracks and the timing of his visit, he figured it was only a matter of time until it returned to the scene of the crime via his chosen station.

The weather is just right, a light breeze that was accompanied by wafting clouds that provided relief from the otherwise hot sun. Still, Oliver couldn't help but sigh at the thought of being stuck in Oldale town. Sure, he was waiting to cash in on a decent mission, but the last place he wanted to be stuck was here. This area was a pit stop, an otherwise unnoticeable and perhaps even an unneeded town.

The task was a simple one, track down and deal with a wayward Drampa. It seemed like an easy enough thing to do, and the reward was rather significant. This Drampa was the most drama this shanty village would receive in some time. Oliver had done enough scouting in his spare moments to find out the many pathways the Drampa used to terrorize the inhabitants. His plan was simple, wait at the entrance until it came. It seemed like an easy enough thing to get done.

"How much longer, damn." He said to himself. cursing under his breath.

He had been waiting in the clearing for some time now and had begun to notice that there were other parties interested in the pokemon. Oliver saw the man, but whoever it was seemed to be staring into the distance, looking for what Oliver assumed was indicators of the troublemaking pokemon.

"It's gonna be a while before it shows up man!." He shouted to the stranger. No doubt someone else had seen the calls for help and had come to deliver these poor folk. There wasn't much to do around here, and if this was a waiting game Oliver would rather serve his time with some company.

A disturbance broke the air, and Sebastian rested a hand on the pokeballs in his pocket like they were an assortment of firearms to be drawn at the right moment. It did not take long for him to realize that the new presence was no immediate threat. They were of an opposing faction in a time of war, but the two were oblivious to this fact and his introductory statement declared them allies of the same cause for the time being. For now, they were two expensive forms of pest control.

"It could be awhile," he responded calmly as his eyes returned to the direction that they were initially set upon. It was then that slight tremors rocked the landscape. It could be heard in a rhythmic shuffling of leaves and the discord of bird pokemon whose nests had been disturbed by the vibrations. Sebastian tilted his head. The hand that had yet to leave his pocket used its index finger to roll two pokeballs into the palm of his hand, and the red-haired trainer used it to beckon his mamoswine. The second ball would let out his weavile.

"Anyways, I'm Sebastian. Tiny's a big guy, so his attacks don't really discriminate." His hand pointed in the direction of the mamoswine before shifting over to the weavile. "Noir, on the other hand, is pretty clean with the delivery."

Tiny huffed. Noir chuckled and Sebastian kept his focus on the probable entry point of the inevitable foe, a bit more comfortable with the idea of having a partner now that the stranger knew to avoid the mamoswine's line of fire.

The encounter began a little tensely as the other trainer went to his Pokeball within an instant. The guy may not have wanted Oliver to notice the slight movement, but Oliver knew from experience that a reaction like that should be noted. Oliver, of course, gave no hint as to ever having seen such a movement, there was the slightest indentation of a smile that seemed unwavering. This guy was definitely involved in something but Oliver wasn't in the mindset to pry. He set his eyes into the distance attempting to focus on the direction the tremors were coming from. Oliver noticed a few bird pokemon in the distance indicating where the rampaging pokemon may have been.

"It's not gonna be long before it shows up, gotta be on our toes." He said to no one in particular. A statement to prepare himself.

He stood by as the trainer brought both of his pokemon out. Oliver noted the Mamoswines rough tendencies, not that Zee would never find herself in a position like that. Of course, Oliver had concerns about the headstrong houndour in his possession. Oliver thumbed his own pokeballs and brought his own two Pokemon out.

"Good to know, you won't have to worry about Zee." Oliver's smile grew wide as Zee nodded in approval. She was much too intelligent to be caught off guard like that. "Wye, I'll have to keep an eye on, he's a handful." He was beaming as Houndoor cried defiantly, jumping around as if to prove Oliver's point.

For all his joking, Oliver had faith in both his pokemon to get the job done.
