n search of the infamous feebas that resided upon the beach of slateport. she hoped to come across the water-type sometime today. she required the assistance of her comrade, kyle lopez, to help her in the search. they were enemies faction-wise, but allies regardless of status. he was her trusted confidant after all.

as she walked amongst the shandy, cool shore. she made sure to keep her sights upon the beach in case anything out of the ordinary occurred. though, could the same be said for her slacker friend, kyle? where was he upon this sunny day and cool breeze. he better had been scavenger hunting like he was suppose to. "hopefully he didn't get spotted by any local rocket members," she said with a pinch of worry.

"Maybe if you set up a safer place, I wouldn't," he'd say out loud as he approached her, overhearing her words.

"But I'm so good, it doesn't matter."

Kyle does not exactly paint a picture of a righteous member of the League's forces. Dressed in something casual that paled in comparison to his friend's outfit, one would think that he does not mind being in the enemy's territory. It was true in a sense, since this was the place where he used to stay before it got invaded. Then again, he wasn't anyone important. He would guess he wouldn't attract attention regardless.

"So, what were you thinking when you called for me here?" Eyes would lower to a scowl, the cheekiness present in his expression despite the disappointed tone of his words

hinking about now, he wasn't wrong. but that was beside the point. "shut up, i needed your help searching for a specific pokemon again." she had forgotten he lived here for quite a sometime. why didn't he say anything? he practically blended in naturally as is. did he enjoy being dressed in weird get-ups? wait, that wasn't important. mission now, kink later.

she watched as a marill and sharpedo casually swam about. they weren't her target so she cared not for them. "we're here to look for a feebas!" she exclaimed. her cheeks a rosy color. she was embarrassed by the fact he clearly didn't read what she messaged him. "i told you this already. it's important we find a feebas today. i have a goal and there's only one way for it to be met, and only y-you...can help..." her tone began to lower, "...me with it, kyle." emerald eyes looked elsewhere rather then focusing on the blonde male. "you can be such a jerk sometimes," she, lowly, added.

"'Sometimes' is better than 'always'," he pointed out, a smirk appearing on his features as he finally settled in.

He'd fold his arms, trying to muse over any spots that they could find a Feebas in. He wasn't quite familiar with where they can be found, given that he wasn't interested in them the slightest, but they were pretty popular. People would be trying to find them for their evolved form, although most of them would give up after a day or two of hunting for them. There was one catch about their habits that made them different, however.

"We're going to need to move a lot if you wanna find them. I heard they don't like wandering around, so you're only likely to find one near it's nest than a single specimen on its lonesome."

Staring at the shore, he'd see a Sharpedo trying to chase a Marill around. Nature, he supposed. He'd ignore them before turning back to Evelyn. "Why'd you need a Feebas for anyways?" he'd ask as he started to walk along the shore.

ollowing in suit. she examined the scenery ahead of her as they walked along the shore. "i'm searching for a feebas because i'm building a team if you must know." she replied. this team being one of her many. "i think i want to try for becoming champion." a narrowed gaze stared ahead. "i want to become champion so that i can do what i can for this region. though, it won't be easy, but i want to..." she'd bashfully pause to gather thoughts. "...i want to stand on a bigger stage." being an idol was fine, but it didn't align with what she truly wanted to be.

she wanted to use her music to make change. yet, she feels as though peace is still far from possible. "after what happened to slateport and the surprising news of the champion standing down as, well, the champion! someone has to take the mantle or else the league will continue to be shown as weak!" she turned to kyle with an intense look in her eye. that look screaming with passion of wishing to fix this broken region.

"the leaders we currently have won't be enough to stop team rocket. i should know, i literally work close with them!" she placed her hand over her heart, "there are people working their against their will. who can't escape because they're being held hostage for various of things, kyle. i want to save them, but i can't. and i feel powerless to do so." she thought she could change rocket from the inside, but she's nothing more then a participant at this point. why was she still here? to runaway from fernando? to act as his spy--a pawn?! she was confused. shaking her head, she'd turn to kyle, "that's why i need your help. you're the only person i can come to about this...i can't even...cait and stormy..." she was at a loss for words. eyes aimed downward to the sands beneath their feet.

"I thought you only wanted it cause a Milotic looks pretty, to be honest."

The words were too shallow compared to the truth bomb that the other just dropped. Maybe part of Kyle wanted to forget the harsh realities of the word whenever he was with people he wants to spend his time with. Having a conscience was stressful, and if he could trust Eve not to be influenced by her new environment, then he can only give her praise for what she was trying to accomplish.

"Well, I can't say I'd share the same enthusiasm." He didn't want to play the part of the martyr, and such role felt foolish in his opinion. "I'll support you nonetheless though. Maybe-"

The appearance of a wild Pokemon would interrupt him.

"Ah, one sec."

Taking out a Pokeball, he'd release Echo. The Mightyena stood proud despite being in the face of a Fairy-type. A snap of a finger coming from his trainer right then signified that he didn't need to directly confront the opposing Pokemon, however. Starting with a low growl, the Dark-type would release a roar afterwards, scaring the Wigglytuff away from their path.

"Ooh! You knew those two?" His mood lightened up, seemingly distracted by the mention of names. "Are you trying to complete a trio with those two? Like, I know you already have at least a Water-type so you shouldn't need a Milotic. You trying to be a Water-type specialist, then?"

rushing a strand of hair behind her ear. she'd watch as he called upon one of the six mightyena. she was astonished by how much they grew. he wasn't kidding when he said they've gotten stronger. she remembered when they were nothing more then little poochyena's. she'd lean into touch the head of the mightyena, had she been allowed, and continued to move about.

"i don't want to be a water specialist. i just have a knack of beautiful things with power. milotic just happens to be one of them, and besides don't you have to have a special gift for being able to specialize in a single type? something like that is pretty amazing if you ask me. i'd love to be a specialist in something." sadly, it wasn't her style. waving off such a silly dream with her hand, she'd add, "but i don't have such a gift. i'm just great following orders, doing what's necessary, and utilizing what i'm taught." she's done some pretty unforgivable things now that she thought about it. but when she was with kyle? that all went away for a brief moment. fighting for peace was quite a toll taking experience after all.

"and, yeah, i know the two of them. you're not the only person i talk to, y'know!" she stared with a glare. with a light chuckle, she'd say,"anyway, i'm worried about those two. cait thinks i'm a traitor and stormy...i have no idea what she thinks of me now." songbird said with a weary sigh, "you're the only one i can talk to about being apart of rocket, but sadly i can't leak too much to you or else that would be bad." she was worried. what if he had been caught? that would spell disastrous if they got him to talk. just him knowing of her being was dangerous enough.

"I have a party of Mightyena. Does that mean I'm a Dark-type specialist? I got a special gift, then."

His statement was said in jest after he noticed the cheer drop from the tone of her words, trying to uplift the mood.

"And yeah, you don't tell those things to Cait. That girl's as loyal to the League as it can get. She means well, but she can get a bit, err... self-righteous." He wasn't sure if it was the correct term, but he needed to continue his sentence anyways. "And Stormy... Stormy's good. She'll probably understand." He wasn't sure about the last part, but it kinda felt right saying that, and so he did. 'Probably' was the disclaimer in case he wasn't right.

"And don't sweat it on the leaking part. I'm not in a position to make any decision anywa-"

He stopped talking abruptly as his Mightyena notices another Pokemon. While the Dark-type continues to walk, Kyle stays in position as he talks to Evelyn, eyes still on the wild Fairy-type.

"Does that thing count? Beautiful things with power, I mean."

A hand points to the Florges at a distance away from them. It hasn't noticed them, and it does not seem to be interested in them either, minding its own business like most wild Pokemon should be. They could easily slip by without attracting its attention should they prefer, though the decision is ultimately on Evelyn since Kyle doesn't quite feel the need to catch it.

he stared toward the florges for a brief moment, and said, "not necessarily what i'm looking for today sadly." she's simply allow it be. "anyway, you do possess six mightyena's; if that doesn't scream dedication to darkness then i don't know what does. you're practically near the level of a gym leader at best." she wasn't too familiar with his battling style, but if he so chose to kyle, perhaps, had the power to even become an elite four.

"Gym leader? Nah."

Kyle wasn't ambitious and was the perfect example of a man who would be complacent with his situation as long as they were comfortable and aren't as stressful as others of his age are. Being a gym leader brought responsibilities and expectations, two things he'd rather not deal with.

"I'd probably only be one so I can get a big space to call my own place, but other than that, it's not really worth it in my opinion."

They have been walking for a while, but there still was no sign of the Pokemon they were looking for. He'd stare at Evelyn, wondering if she, too, was growing impatient with how things went.

"You wanna, uh, search for your Feebas somewhere else?"
