ith one step out of the way. she was now off to search for her next choice: the absol. she had heard rumors that a white, devilish angel roamed about the outskirts. in this slum wasted cesspool of debauchery. there were many pokemon who lurked about here creating mischief and misdeeds; she just wasn't sure which of them possessed the want to kill her first.

having dragged kyle with her to the darkest pits of hell. she'd look back to make sure that he was still wearing the poncho she had given him. "remember, you're not suppose to even be here. after slateport was taken over because of the league failing, we can't afford for you to get caught." it'd be annoying and she'd be considered a traitor. thinking about it now, did she always care for others as intensely as she did for kyle? and was she always this outspoken? it was as if the cold enigma of evelyn was no longer there. she was just songbird. to what sort of new conviction did she obtain while away for sometime and why so determined to find new partners? only time would tell.

coming to halt at the corner of the street. there were noises being made upon the other side. "we might have found what we're looking for." she whispered to kyle, looking back over her shoulder. "go check it out..." she stated without hesitation. he was a man, men were good to use as bait. plus, he promised to help. so he had no choice but to do as she said.

Was the poncho even necessary. It was comfortable, but he wasn't used to wearing such article of clothing in him. He does not care much about appearances, but at the very least, he wanted to look decent or normal. The poncho just looked weird, and unnatural on him... like some kind of desert dwelling cowboy would wear. Nonetheless, he complied.

"Well, thank you for being considerate." He would lift one side of the poncho as he walked and talked, attention still on the piece of cloth.

He'd look back to Evelyn only when she stopped walking. This was where she was apparently taking him. It was nothing fancy or spectacular that befits her fame on the internet, which was utterly disappointing for Kyle. He'd wave a hand in the air as if to dismiss the thought after hearing it before motioning for the Mightyena that followed closely behind them to come near.

"Go check it out," he'd order his Pokemon, passing the task to the Dark-type.

owling was heard. but it did not originate from the mightyena. she ran past kyle only to stand next to his mightyena. "i knew it." she said aloud. an absol stood atop of broken, tattered car. howling underneath a shimmering lamp post. the absol felt threatened by the meeting of strangers, and so it called for backup: an arbok. "showtime, ampharos!" reaching into her bosom. plucking a capsule from her bracelet and enlarging it into a ball. she'd toss out the electric-type, commanding, "kyle, take care of the arbok! fire punch, ampharos!"

scattering. the absol would maneuver to the side as ampharos punch would miss. "chase it and utilize fire punch consecutively!" the absol continually dodged each punch. maneuvering with grace and agility. with one more punch thrown, the absol would jump over the head of ambient the ampharos. "so the rumors were true. it's tough, and just what i was looking for." she coldly spoke. time was of the essence, and she needed to get kyle out of here. she did not have time for trivial games. "charge." and suddenly, behind the absol, ambient emitted a glowing shock. he was practically ecstatic to battle such an opponent. "go, electro ball." generating in the center of ampharos's hands was a sphere of electricity. without waste, the ball was launched.

the absol defended with psycho cut. releasing a crescent wave from the horn that resided atop of his head. the energized sphere and energetic sickle clashed. but, alas, the electrical ball of light came out on top and broke past its competitor. ramming into the absol sending great voltage throughout the course of its body. "loom overhead with fire punch!" and without wasting anytime, ampharos rose above, fist engulfed with heat, and delivered a crushing blow to the absol's side. reaching into her pocket she'd toss an empty ball at the absol. attempting to lock and capture the dark angel.

"An Absol's easier to deal with than an Arbok though..."

The whining was left unheard, thanks to Kyle's lesser enthusiasm and Evelyn's more pronounced attention to the other wild Pokemon. The Absol was the object of their trip here anyways, and he knew he couldn't stop her from negotiating about the division of tasks. It wasn't worth the effort, and besides, he'd rather have her use her own Pokeballs for her capture than his.

The Arbok rushes to her Ampharos as Kyle took too long to make the first move, but at least it made it easier for his Mightyena to move in. The Mightyena was all poised to move, butt raised and tail waving as he readied to pounce. Kyle, however, killed its fighting vibe with a single command at his Pokemon.

"Just roar it away."

The canine sounds a roar, scaring the serpent away from the fight that would soon result to the Absol's potential capture.
