Stormy was on the hunt, but for what exactly, she wasn't really sure. She had recently been told that she should 'branch out' her speciality from fire-types to something else. Chansey, Smeargle and Castform were all normal-types and were all-around reliable Pokemon.[break][break]

So, she figured she'd start there. On her travels through Littleroot town she had caught sight of several normal-type Pokemon that she had walked past indifferently. It was just a shame she hadn't decided to catch them then, she wouldn't be spending her time out here now.[break][break]

The woman shuffled the crutch positioned under her arm awkwardly, trying to make her way down a rough path. Whenever she stumbled she winced, cursing herself for being clumsy and for taking a stupid path.[break][break]

There's a humming noise that grows louder and louder as Stormy gets closer. The trees seem to be shaking, and a flurry of Yungoos took off. They flattened the grass as they went, and even as Stormy attempted to give chase they managed to escape.[break][break]

She sighed, discouraged at this. Fortunately, whatever was making the humming noise appeared to be very close. Splinters fly off the bark of a tree next to her, and as she turns to look, she realises that a gigantic steel Pokemon has become stuck to it. His barbed arms are caught in the branches, and try as it might it can't seem to break free.[break][break]

The tree groans as it's being pulled in every which direction. Stormy very quickly assesses the situation and approaches, speaking softly.[break][break]

"Are you okay? Don't freak out, I'm coming to free you."[break][break]

With a click of her pokeball she releases Skarmory. The Pokemon preens its metal feathers with a disinterested look, not at all sure what's going on. When Stormy gestures to the Ferrothorn she jumps up in surprise.[break][break]

"Be gentle and cut those branches. We have to get her out of the tree, she's going to hurt herself."[break][break]

Skarmory does as she's asked, flying up next to the tree. She lights down on the branch that's holding the Ferrothorn captive. Her wings spread out and she slices clean through it. With a great big thud, the Ferrothorn falls to the ground, dazed. Skarmory meanwhile flies back to Stormy.[break][break]

"Good work, girl."[break][break]

She then approaches the Ferrothorn, who apparently was knocked unconscious due to her own struggle and the fall. Stormy shrugs, throwing a pokeball to capture it. [break][break]

Then she turns to leave. [break][break]

"Good enough for now, we'll be back sometime I reckon. C'mon, Skarmory."[break][break]
