t was a normal day in petal town. a small town just between petalburg city and petalburg woods. it was a small town, but they were well hospitable to guests. many had their pokemon out and about, children frolicking around. all seemed to be going well until the sudden scream within the central part of the town.

a crowd gathered to surround an injured man. as mateo came rushing in, he'd tell those in the way to move about. once inside of the crowd, he'd come to see a man beaten and battered. his pokemon, a machoke, held the trainer upon its back, and in his hands a noibat that was unconscious. mateo would ask, "what happened?!" the man tried his best to speak, but alas he was unable to. "we need to get him a doctor!" standing up, he'd look around, "is there a doctor around here?"

only murmuring was heard as all, too, wondered where the town's doctor was. perhaps he was within his office and didn't know what was happening. regardless, this man needed to be looked at as fast as possible.
