It was time for another attempt out at Meteor Falls.[break][break]

He was pretty sure that he was going to become a regular at this point, because Arceus be damned he was still short a Noivern and a Dragonite! While there were other Dragon-types that caught his fancy, it was those two particular lines he was chasing after so hard for; having lucked out with Gabriel a long time ago when he first arrived in the region.[break][break]

When the hell am I going to be able to find these? I swear, this is getting to be stupid… he thought with an exasperated sigh as he scanned the area. It was quiet, devoid of noise—devoid of life.[break][break]

Wait, did he take a wrong turn somewhere and somehow end up in another part of Hoenn entirely?[break][break]

Either way, a quick check of his PokéGear showed that yes, he was still here and yes, this was still the same Meteor Falls that would forever mock him to this very day…[break][break]

“No time to gripe, let’s just go and get it,” he grumbled with a sigh before squaring his shoulders and marching off deep into the depths of the dark cave, intent on coming out with a certain, particular Dragon-type. Or two. But he knew he was definitely going to find one of them at least.[break][break]

Well, his search for a Dragon-type would take an abrupt turn for the unexpected since it didn’t take too long for him to hear something up ahead.[break][break]

It didn’t take too long for his PokéGear to start alerting him that something he was looking for was nearby—and while he quickly moved to shut it off before it started going off to scare away whatever it was, he knew he had to act quickly.[break][break]

Sending out his Cutiefly, he squinted at the little dual-type who’d made a beeline for his nose before pointing around the corner. “Hey. Hey, Carina! Can you go over there and check out what that is?” he said as quietly as possible to the little feather-light touch that was now resting on his nose.[break][break]

“Yes, Carina, you can rest there later—just go and Fairy Wind whatever it is. I… no, I don’t know what it is, I hope it’s a draconid, but you know… since you’re so small, you can go and attack without being seen,” he explained, and after getting a huffy-sounding buzzing noise from the Cutiefly, felt the very light touch take off and fly off around the corner.[break][break]

It didn’t take too long for the sounds of a Mudkip to cry out from where the Cutiefly was now using Fairy Wind from so many directions—despite its tiny size, it knew how to make the most out of the attack she favored so much.[break][break]

He could hear several loud blasts of water, but no high-pitched buzzing noise signaling it getting hit ever came. Hell, he thought he heard a Bug Buzz from somewhere before the sounds of the Water-type eventually died off.[break][break]

“…wow, what the hell,” he muttered as he finally emerged from the opposite side of the rock, empty Pokéball ready and dropping it atop the Mudkip’s head, watching as it was sucked into the beam of red light…
