I. GENERAL INFORMATION — PLEASE READ
THE DRACONID TRIBE ARE A CANON GROUP BASED IN HOENN. there's not much detail on them when researching off site, but what has been provided will be expanded upon on pkmn hoenn, which is the initial goal for them being made. should you have a character who happens to be apart of this hidden tribe, please don't hesitate to contact me about seeing how one can integrate their existing characters! as you progress in this reading, you will be given the necessary information needed in order get a better understanding of the draconid tribe. from their leadership to the language, from their whereabouts to their origin, and so on and so forth. the intended goal for their creation is to collectively have an understanding as to whom they are and what they're about. [break][break][break]
as an avid lover and fan of the dragon species. i hope to make this tribe very interesting and beneficial to the site. i want to create and expand their story. so i hope you all will help me to do just that.

II. RULES

In the distance, those stationed at Lilycove would be able to see a vast army of Megalopolans stationed at various points on the route. More ominously, large obsidian-hued trammels dig deep into islands and point toward the sky like swords. One trammel stands above a seaside town. It has been repurposed into a Megalopolan war camp. Reports say some residents remain there, perhaps, as bartering tools. However, as time goes by, the screams of those unfortunate to be eaten can be heard.

Nihilego wander the central part of the route, their tentacles ever grasping. The Megalopolans come prepared with pilfered Pokemon of their own alongside their usual toxic fare of Naganadels.[break][break][break]
A deafening noise like an explosion, roars in the horizon. It seems to come from the islands they inhabit. A chorus of war cries follow. A wave of attacks commences. Three boats filled with Megalopolan soldiers advance toward the beach with Naganadels positioned at their fronts. From their purple jaws, energy builds.[break][break][break]
One Naganadel fires a concentrated
SLUDGE BOMB toward the coast, while two direct their attacks to the air. Purplish balls of draconic energy soar into the heavens before breaking apart.
DRACO METEORS fall toward the coast, its destructive power aiming to maim Pokemon, people, and vessels.[break][break][break]

Behind them, a flock of Naganadel and Flying Pokemon, large enough to blot the sky, follow. They in turn, fire their own attacks:
AIR SLASHES, HEAT WAVES and more serve as artillery, before swooping in to get into melee range. Several Megalopolans are mounted on these Pokemon, intending to drop on to the coast (or people) with their stun batons and teeth.[break][break][break]

RAYQUAZA. the people of the stars worshiped rayquaza beneath the sky temple. in exchange for prayer and reverence, the great star dragon protected them from natural disasters, wicked disturbances, unwanted visitors, and monsters.

and those "monsters" were very real, they served as the source for their natural disasters. they were a danger to their home. these two great beasts fought and tore the land asunder, roaring eruptions, and oceans raised. until the great star dragon, rayquaza, intervened. alone it fought, but did not refuse help from one individual who would be deemed not only its rider, but as
THE DRAGON LORD. with their help, rayqauza was able to calm the beasts.

after balance was restored.
THE DRAGON LORD fell ill before his people. the power that was used to aid rayqauza in its fight became too much of a toll for their body, their people had lost their leader. as compensation for their loss, rayquaza would gift the people of the stars something equivalent to what their leader gave to him: a piece of it.

that's right, as compensation for their leader's sacrifice, rayquaza would grant them a piece of itself—the
DRAGON'S BIRTHMARK. there were six. each representing a trait that made a leader, each possessing a role that served the people, each unveiling their relation and connection to the people of the stars, and each mark representing a body part of rayquaza. these individuals would come to be known as:

LOCATION
METEOR VILLAGE is a village located within
METEOR FALLS and
HOME TO THE DRACONID PEOPLE. the village is located within a very tall mountain, to be exact the mountain where
ONE OF THE THREE WARS OCCURRED. the name of this mountain is called
DRAGONFALL.[break][break][break]
there are only
TWO KNOWN ENTRANCES:
(1.) the first, and obvious entrance, being the mouth of the cave.
(2.) the second, and most dangerous, is the mountain's summit. traversing such a path will require a pokemon capable of flight. it's highly not suggested that this route is taken unless one has gone through the proper training. in order to access this path one must be taught by a draconid member, who are the secret to overcoming the high altitude trek.

once you enter the cavern, it's easy to get lost if one does not have a guide. but once you make it through the complex maze, there is a great beauty within the village. there is a total of about 150+ people living within the village. the draconid own a large amount of land. the entrance to outsides is extremely limited.

LANGUAGE
SKAIGEDASLENG ( sky-ghey-da-sleng ), better known as
DRAGON TONGUE, is a language that is believed to be dead but is taught to those born of draconian lineage; therefore, it can be considered a hidden language that is rarely taught. it is the common tongue among the draconid people, but is not their only language. this language does not possess a writing system. this language has a strong connection to dragon-type pokemon, but can be taught to those outside of the species through special training.

THE LANGUAGE IS PHONETIC, meaning how it is seen is the way it is pronounced. it's pretty easy once you have an understanding. but it's also not required you speak it or learn it, your character can always italicize, color code, or even "*" what they're saying in order to make it seem as though they're speaking the language. this is just fun for me personally. plus i thought it'd be a cool concept to add.

so there's a lot to learn with this language, from verbs, satellites, modals, auxiliaries, etc. i'm not going to go through all of that for a role-play; plus, i'm lazy and spent too much time on this section. this section would take me an ion to write out. so what i can do is this:

THE STUDY CHAMBER is a special location found within the depths of meteor falls cave: dragonfall. by entering through the mouth of the cave,
(AS MENTIONED IN LOCATION) inside dragonfall one will come to find a single path escorting them to a wide open space. at the center of that space you will find a fountain spewing water; inside of the water fountain you will come to see a plethora of
MOONFLOWER PETALS floating about. atop of the fountain there is a statue in the shape of a strange dragon. beyond the fountain you will feel a breeze from different directions, but all that lies ahead is darkness. emerging from that path will be a guide, instructing you on what to do next: [break][break][break]

RELIGIOUS BELIEF
THE DRACONID TRIBE ARE A HENOTHEISTIC GROUP that believe in rayquaza, but do not deny the existence of other legendary pokemon. they believe that their god is benevolent and serve as a protector for not just their people, but all of hoenn. where there are benevolent deities, there are also dark ones. the dark ones are referred to as
MONSTERS,
TITANS,
PRIMAL BEASTS, you name it. many stories are passed down from generation to generation; each with their own tale and spin. some famous ones are the following:
A TITAN THAT SLEEPS IN MAGMA,
A BEAST THAT RESIDES BENEATH THE OCEAN FLOOR'S SEABED,
THE POISONED STAR, and many more. some believe them to have been born through premonitions, others scary stories to tell in the dark, or experiences that were witnessed by ancestors now told as stories. but with prayer to their god these dark deities won't easily instill fear into them.

the draconid tribe emphasize a strong belief that dragon-type pokemon are the origin of all pokemon. believing that each type is somehow derived from a powerful dragon. so, to them, it's not odd for a dragon-type specialist to roam about with a pokemon such as "whismur" as their chosen partner. to them all pokemon are, in a way, dragon-types. such a belief system isn't exactly easy to understand to those who're outsiders and require one to experience their biblical teachings personally from a tribe member.

STRONG BELIEF IN REINCARNATION; therefore, your character doesn't exactly have to have a background saying they were born among them. although, it should be taken into consideration that that excuse has a small catch to it. there are some on hoenn who are unaware that they have ties to the draconid tribe, somewhere along their family bloodline they grew distant. thus, there's a strong chance of you being a distant relative should you so choose to wanna be apart of this.[break][break]

THE GRAVITY CHILDREN OF THE STARS are a group said to be the descendants of the first dragon lord. in legend it is stated that when the first dragon lord, rayquaza's chosen rider, tamed the green star. that individual aided the legendary being in sealing away two creatures that were told to have been born of the earth and the sea; destined to fight for eternity. there are many variations of the story, but one thing that they all have in common in the end is this: six people were chosen to lead the people of the stars, each embodying a power, triait, or skill that made them a leader.

rayquaza's rider, the first dragon lord, died soon after the battle. upon his deathbed the people of the stars were left without a leader, due to him never having children. so, as a gift, rayquaza bestowed six individuals with a mark,

CLAW, the
FOOT, the
WINGS, and the
HEART. each of these marks were imprinted somewhere upon their body, and each person was said to represent a trait or possess a skill that made up a leader.

these birthmarks are what bind them by fate. without the dragon lord, it was impossible to call upon rayquaza. only these six individuals were capable of making the decision of a leader. just like a star, they would guide them toward a better tomorrow—no matter the cost. eventually, with each passing century, they slowly became nothing ore than a distant memory.

it was said that the only person to remain leading the tribe was
THE LOREKEEPER. the one who held the tribe's history in the palm of their hands. it's unknown as to what happened to the other five. history dictates that they eventually moved onto another life. their bloodline no more. it's possible, or rather speculated, that reincarnation is possible. no one is exactly sure how one can go about finding them. even so, the elder of the tribe believes that they're here in hoenn somewhere.

once there she would come to meet a masked man who looked as though he owned the place. dressed within a slim-fitted suit with a red dress-shirt that stood out to match his mask. cerulean orbs would come to focus on the powerful beauty. a hand would rise for those gathered around to leave the area, just so the two could have their "talk".
