ALEXANDER STONE 's question to the lucario goes unanswered. it's too busy focusing on what's to come.[break][break][break]

@delphi 's lucario picks up on the incoming attack but not fast enough to let the rest of them know. ALEXANDER STONE 's politoed suffers as the vines spring up around it and trap it by consequence. they ignore the pokemon but end up indirectly attacking it as well as a result of surfacing. it remains locked in place as the vines continues to spew out. the pokemon's innate slimy skins helps mitigate the pain of carpet burn but its trapped and suffers from its positioning. [break][break][break]

Dallas Rhodes 's emboar FLAMETHROWER washes a number of vines on fire. they all catch on fire but... [break][break][break]

it started RAINING![break][break][break]

the rain puts out the fire. it doesn't seem to effect the pokemon's FLAMETHROWER too much but the growing moisture covers the vines. the wet surface of the vegetation prevent it from catching aflame.[break][break][break]

the WIDE GUARD protects those underneath it from the LEECH SEEDS that rain down on them. however, they do not simply bounce off the shield. instead, they sprout, lashing out as they try to grasp the mass of energy. they fail to cover the shield but the shield starts to falter, fading as its energy is being siphoned off by the LEECH SEED.[break][break][break]

Dallas Rhodes releases his sandslash which follows up with SWIFT. the attack proves more effective then his emboar's, slicing several stalks clean. however, being cut from one end causes them to lose balance and what goes up must come down. some of the vines start to fall, coming dangerously closer as they look like they're going to collapse on Dallas Rhodes and his pokemon.[break][break][break]

priam conrad 's arcanine manages to dodge all the vines as it sprints. the pokemon's natural speed allows it to strafe through the openings and into the enclosure. any LEECH SEEDS that get too close are burnt into smithereens by the pokemon's FLAME BURST. [break][break][break]

priam conrad 's shroomish tries to launch a retaliatory LEECH SEED at the massive pokemon but the HELPING HAND is not enough. the seeds fly out for a while but start to descend in an arc due to the increased GRAVITY. the distance from the group and the pokemon doesn't help. several do hit but when they sprout the vines cannot clamp onto the pokemon's smooth metal surface. they fall off harmlessly.[break][break][break]

the AURA SPHERE from @delphi 's lucario goes straight up, vaporizing any LEECH SEED in its direct path. it crashes against the growing ceiling above them causing the vines to shake.[break][break][break]

her kommo-o slices at the vines from the ground level. the pokemon is unable to create a clean opening due to the vine's thickness but some of them do end up severed. several LEECH SEEDS that get spit out from slightly above and even at the pokemon's level hit the dragon. it's proximity and actions prevent it from defending in time. the seeds spring to life and cover the pokemon in an array of vines, binding it to the floor as several ends start to dig into the ground to tether it there. the pokemon is PARALYZED, unable to resist. [break][break][break]

any LEECH SEEDS that get past the WIDE GUARD are blown away by Rhian McArthur 's swanna. the HURRICANE is enough to redirect any LEECH SEEDS that come toward the gathered group as long as they don't stray away too far. [break][break][break]

@leonard 's alakazam manages to move several of the vines away with its KINESIS. sentient, the vines continuously struggle against the psychic pokemon's hold. it can only hold a few of them without losing its telekinetic grasp. Rhian McArthur 's swanna fills in the gaps by cutting some away with AIR SLASH. their combined effort creates an opening straight ahead. however, the vines do not stop. as they become more pronounced so does their thickness. the opening is closing due to the other vines that are not addressed. if this continues the opening they've created will be gone.[break][break][break]

@leonard 's metagross takes off with the two trainers. however, the moment it leaves a 4 meter distance from kim cole-essam 's lickilicky it starts to jerk, caught off guard by the reinstated effects of GRAVITY. it U-TURNS as it catches its balance and tries to rise in place, finding it increasingly difficult as its speed tapers off. as they stray farther away the more vulnerable they become to the unending rain of LEECH SEEDS. [break][break][break]

Rhian McArthur 's swanna is no exception and both the bird and the alakazam it carries falls under the same effect. they're not grounded outright but straying too far makes flight an excruciating task. [break][break][break]

their inspection, even from this distance, yields nothing concrete. the vines seems similar to those at the ground level. the only difference is that they get narrower at the tip. what's different is that all the vines around them are thick with a girth of a tree trunk. [break][break][break]

kim cole-essam 's lickilicky falls victim to the LEECH SEED and is bound to the ground, much like @delphi 's kommo-o. the pokemon cannot resist and will feel its energy being sucked away. the DISABLE it used earlier ceases to exist and the GRAVITY comes back at once. the pressure effects all except those within 4 meters of @leonardo 's alakazam. even then, the GRAVITY is still there, just slightly reduced. [break][break][break]

the newfound GRAVITY causes Rhian McArthur 's swanna and @leonardo 's metagross to falter again, the pressure doubling now that alakazam is the only one able to even scratch at the GRAVITY'S effect. they start to sink but both pokemon are able to control themselves in all regards except in an upward direction. how they handle the plummet is up to their skills and reaction.[break][break][break]

the aromatisse's MISTY TERRAIN starts seep into the ground and spread around the group. it does not disable the LEECH SEED and the pokemon under its effects remain PARALYZED. their inability to move, react, or resist seem to correspond with the fact that they're being leeched upon.[break][break][break]

the typlosion's ERUPTION shoots up and roasts the vines from their underside. rain leaks from the small openings and protects them from being burnt all the way through. the attack still eats away at the plants and a large opening appears where the ERUPTION hits. [break][break][break]

the vines continues to move upwards into an enclosure but no new ones sprout up. those that have already surfaced continue to rise upward. the LEECH SEED doesn't end but it looks like what's been brought out is all they have to deal with. [break][break][break]

• vines pop up and slap around ALEXANDER STONE 's politoed, unintentionally trapping it. the RAIN DANCE still succeeds. it starts to rain!
• ALEXANDER STONE calls out his gallade just in time to use WIDE GUARD. the LEECH SEEDS sprout and cover the shield, sucking away its energy.
• ALEXANDER STONE 's politoed remains sandwiched in between the vines.
• priam conrad calls @noir before charging in on his arcanine, avoiding the vines as he enters the enclosure. FLAME BURST burns up any seeds that come too close. they stop next to @delphi .
• priam conrad releases his shroomish and fires LEECH SEED toward celesteela. most of them never reach the pokemon, stopping short due to distance, GRAVITY, or a combination of both. the few that hit sprout but cannot grasp onto the pokemon. they fall off harmlessly.
• Dallas Rhodes releases his emboar. it uses FLAMETHROWER to try and burn down the vines. the roots for several vines catch on fire but they're killed off by the incoming rain. the growing moisture of the vine's surface prevents them from catching aflame.
• Dallas Rhodes also releases his sandslash which fires off a SWIFT. several get cut and start to fall toward his direction, right on top of him.
• @delphi 's lucario uses AURA SPHERE to destroying any seeds in its direct flight path. her kommo-o slices at the vines and gets caught by a few stray LEECH SEEDS. they spring to life and cover the pokemon in vines, binding it to the floor and PARALYZING the pokemon.
• Rhian McArthur summons her swanna and it uses AQUA RING. the DEFOG allows the pokemon to use the winds to create a HURRICANE that blow anyway any LEECH SEEDS that come their way.
• @leonard 's alakazam uses KINESIS to move some vines away. there is a small, narrow path for them to escape but it won't last. the vines it cannot control continues to move. some start to coincidentally move in the spot that is now left open. their escape is closing.
• @leonard gets on top of his metagross. it uses MAGNET RISE to fly. it speeds out of the entrapment with AGILITY. when he strays farther then 4 meters from kim cole-essam 's lickilicky the GRAVITY takes effect again but at a reduced level. the metagross jerks, surprised by the change in GRAVITY. it's not pulled back into a 4 meter radius of lickilicky but extending any farther becomes difficult, even with HELPING HAND.
• Rhian McArthur 's swanna uses AIR SLASH and helps clear the vines that the alakazam cannot control with KINESIS. their team work creates a bigger escape but that too is starting to close. their team work grants them a greater window of time.
• Rhian McArthur recalls her sylveon and blissey.
• Rhian McArthur 's swanna takes flight with @leonardo 's alakazam. as soon as they leave the field the DISABLE creates, the swanna will jerk just like @leonardo 's metagross.
• @leonardo 's metagross U-TURNS back into the DISABLE field. several LEECH SEEDS rain down on them.
• Rhian McArthur and @leonardo try to inspect the vines above. they don't look any different except they get narrower at the tip. other then that, they're thicker then normal vines and their girth rivals that of a medium sized tree's trunk.
• kim cole-essam 's lickilicky is hit by LEECH SEEDS. it's bound in place, PARALYZED.
• kim cole-essam brings out his aromatisse and typlosion. they use MISTY TERRAIN and ERUPTION respectively. the MISTY TERRAIN fills in the space around everyone else but the pokemon effected by LEECH SEED are still PARALYZED and still bound.
• the typlosion's ERUPTION shoots up and roasts the vines from their underside. rain leaks from the outside and protects them from being burnt to cinders. the attack still eats away at the vines and a large opening appears.
• no additional vines sprout up. those above ground continue to rise.

ALEXANDER STONE 's polited ends the RAIN DANCE but what's already formed in the sky doesn't dissipate that easily. the pokemon has the power to summon rain not end it. it'll end sooner then usual but for now the rain still pours. [break][break][break]

years of intense training has made the gallade reactive. SWORD DANCE gives it the cutting edge it needs to dice through the vines that have entangled ALEXANDER STONE 's politoed. the dazed politoed is freed from the confines, gasping for air after being held in such constricted confines. it's returned safely and tucked back into its pokeball.[break][break][break]

priam conrad ’s arcanine tickles @delphi ’s kommo-o with a few flames. the dragon type pokemon feels little from the heat but the tinders is enough to burn away at some of the vines. her lucario puts on the finishing touch with a BONE RUSH, flinging the lingering vines and ripping the seed from the dragon pokemon. her promptness in recalling her pokemon doesn’t allow her to assess its condition but at least it’s safe.[break][break][break]

priam conrad is left behind as his arcanine rushes to aid @delphi . it acts as backup, burning away any seeds that get too close to her. priam conrad sticks with his shroomish which can’t possibly move as fast as his arcanine. [break][break][break]

the shroomish expels a TOXIC poison that seeps into the ground, burning away at the vines but not enough to melt them. it works like a corrosive acid but without concentrating on a single point and applying a voluminous amount, the TOXIC only erodes at the vines as they continue to expand.[break][break][break]

kim cole-essam ’s aromatisse’s PSYCHIC powers rip the vines off the lickilicky's bulky mass. once they’re no longer clamped onto the lickilicky, the lickilicky reacts, gasping for air, struggling to move as if it was just freed from being strangled. kim cole-essam recalls it with impunity and the DISABLE is undone for good. at least he has his pokemon. others are darting for the opening but since he’s the closest he makes it out just fine. his typhlosion keeps them safe, burning up anything that dares come too close. [break][break][break]

Dallas Rhodes continues to approach the enclosure. his emboar stays ahead of him and closer toward the falling vines. the FLAME CHARGE allows it to confront the descending vines and swat them away easily with HAMMER ARM. several of the vines are cut by ALEXANDER STONE ’s gallade and reduced to small chunks. for the strong, large fighting pokemon, these pieces are nothing. [break][break][break]

his sandslash continues with its previous behavior and the results are the same. any addition vines that fall do so outwardly, taken care of the emboar which slaps them aside. likewise, it SLASHES at any that get too close. [break][break][break]

on merit of still being outside the vine structure, Dallas Rhodes has the best view of the pokemon from a distance. he can’t make out any expressions or movements that hint at the pokemon’s feelings or personality. what he will notice is that the cylindrical rods that flank it start to shift, rising and orbiting the pokemon.[break][break][break]

the HURRICANE settles when the swanna moves away from committing an action toward maintaining it. the gales die but one mighty flap of its wings dispel the seeds from getting close, causing them to fall down onto those still below them. amidst all the chaos, the pokemon manages to maintain its flight pattern. the visual aid of pointing his metagross in the same direction allows @leonardo to convey a basic enough message to get the bird to obey. [break][break][break]

Rhian McArthur ’s klefki is brought out and it immediately descends, pursuing ALEXANDER STONE as he’s the last to make a move toward any sort of exit. the CRAFTY SHIELD shimmers from the pokemon and extends out to its immediate surroundings, encompassing ALEXANDER STONE and his gallade due to their proximity. it also lets out a couple of SPIKES which do nothing to stop the vines. they continue to grow and merely pick up the SPIKES, turning into thorny vines. [break][break][break]

@leonardo brings out another flyer and the garchomp sinks immediately. without anything to propel or push off against, it’s brought into a slow drift downwards. the pokemon manages to capitalize on this and bring itself into a purposeful glide. the weight of another passenger has no visible effects but the toxicroak has its own problems. it does more than shudder in ANTICIPATION; it freezes, FLINCHING in absolute terror. it has no idea what but something nearby is beyond dangerous. every fiber of its body screams to flee, to vacate as far as possible. biologically, the pokemon’s innate homeostasis for self preservation is skewered and it ends up choking on its own poison. the command to fire a SLUDGE BOMB is recognized but the pokemon can’t follow up. it tries and a mix of its own stomach acid and TOXINS end up being barfed out. it spills out and over the garchomp and onto those below. some of it splatters onto @delphi and priam conrad ’s arcanine from above. the mixture is too diluted to be TOXIC but it’s still nasty. yuck![break][break][break]

ALEXANDER STONE and priam conrad will be the last ones out. how long they take depends on how much they decide to dawdle but everyone else makes it out relatively okay. for now, anyway. Dallas Rhodes already recognizes the change outside and the cylinders finally come to another stop. they tilt upwards, bottom side lifted up and aiming in the group’s general direction. the center of the rod glows with an bedazzling light as does the small pipes that protrude from the larger structure. a screeching METAL SOUND resonates from it before they erupt in a flash of light.[break][break][break]

a pair of FLASH CANNONS shoot out from both objects and towards the group, growing as they take on a funnel shape. the point of launch is concentrated, with the approximate size similar to the front end of a bus. by the time it reaches their position it’s grown at least three times in size. the raw luminosity of it is enough to hurt the eyes of anyone facing the same direction. anyone who sees the attack will be left BLINDED until the light dissipates, their vision returning within a few minutes. • Dallas Rhodes runs toward the enclosure. his emboar takes the front with FLAME CHARGE destroying the falling vines alongside ALEXANDER STONE 's gallade with HAMMER ARM and PSYCHO CUT.
• his sandslash continues to cut vines with SWIFT and it SLASHES at any that fall too close. the opening stays open thanks to sandslash.
• Dallas Rhodes glances at the pokemon and notices that the rods start to move again. they pick up and start to rotate around the pokemon again.
  
• Rhian McArthur 's swanna's HURRICANE blows away the seeds from her and @leonardo . however, since they're above everyone, the end up being propelled in a different arc, faster, toward those below.
• Rhian McArthur summons her klefki and has it accompany ALEXANDER STONE . it uses CRAFTY SHIELD which effects klefki, ALEXANDER STONE , and his @gallade. it follows up with SPIKES which temporarily halts the vines but end up being dragged along as they continue to extend. now they're thorny vines.
  
• Rhian McArthur 's swanna calculates the right path thanks to @leonardo . the pokemon understands his instructions thanks to his visual aid.
• @leonardo brings out his garchomp and it sinks, unable to catch itself without a propellant. it glides down gracefully with a toxicroak on its back. the toxicroak FLINCHES. it ANTICIPATES something beyond dangerous. it never felt so fearful in its life. it barfs out what it can of a SLUDGE BOMB but most of it is half-baked puke. the puke lands on @delphi and priam conrad 's arcanine.
  
• ALEXANDER STONE and his gallade move to escape the dome through the opening kim cole-essam created.
  
• the rods rotating the pokemon stop. they tilt upwards and are aimed horizontally at the group’s general direction. they flicker on with a blinding light that BLINDS all that dare look. it burns your eyes just to be facing the general direction of the lights. a loud METAL SOUND screeches as the rods lock into place and turn on?
• two FLASH CANNON beams with a diameter of 9 meters fire straight forward. they’re not aimed to intersect so both beams cover plenty of ground, giving a very limited space to evade. the attack is a magnified version of being burned by focused light.
  
• dark clouds are still above. it's still raining!
  
• HEAVY GRAVITY is in effect throughout the area except a 6 meter distance from @leonardo 's alakazam which is riding Rhian McArthur 's swanna. those within the field are under the effects of MILD GRAVITY.
