|walking into the flashy restaurant feels awkward. even after years of company dinners and fancy meetings, priscilla feels out of place. knowing who she's meeting only makes it harder.|
reconnecting with alexander stone was supposed to be a simple thing. something pleasant. two old friends seeing each other after years apart -- in her mind she'd envisioned it playing out like something in a movie or tv show.
then his father died. and she fumbled her way through greetings at the funeral. now seeing him is just another source of stress, and that's without mentioning the other things she'd imagined in her spare time.
looking at her in the dress she's chosen you'd be forgiven for thinking those thoughts are still lingering.
emerald, it gently hugs her silhouette, and while it boasts a modest collar her back is open to the air (allowing her loose hair to tickle the pale skin there).
the look the host gives her before leading her to her reserved table for the evening brings faint color to her cheeks. she's thankful to find it empty upon their arrival. a moment to compose herself is well in order.
she takes her time seating herself. placing her purse off to the side, perching herself on her chair, pressing her hands to her face in the hopes of pulling some of the heat out of her cheeks.
