Creating a new identity may sound easy by virtue of how often it's done. It turns out it's not. It turns out replacing an actual person's identity with this new fabricated one is even harder.

That's why there's two of them, she supposes.

Simply infiltrating the building turns out easier than expected. Thanks to references from her alma mater back in Unova, Erin and her associate were called in as consultants. They were let in through the front door, introduced to a few personalities within the company, and given a well-equipped office to do their job.

The room has two security cameras. She's not too worried about the cameras, though: recording audio without the consent of at least one of the two people in the room would be illegal, and anyone looking at them through the lens would only see two women looking at their screens.

Four clicks and a virtual machine is being set up. As soon as the secretary giving them their tour around the facility closes the door behind her, their plan starts. "Spoof it."

Silence is fleeting the moment broad corporate doors slide to a gentle shut and she is left alone with her associate, barren sterile walls brimming with life the moment orders are barked out from the opposing woman, blunt– clear.

Her head tilts in the slightest at the words and she hums, fingers seeming to pause in their motions for a moment. It does not take her long to peer over the edge of the screen, idle gaze resting upon her associate and she offers a smile, the gesture brief, “Cute– is that all?”

She does not bother on lingering on her question the moment her own words are spoken into the air– hollow, teasing, deceptive. Her idle hands are set into motion once more, teasing words soon replaced with the idle gentle clicks of her computer as she works alongside her partner.

“Seems Devon lacks proper security."

Erin never lingered enough to have a chance to mingle with most of her colleagues—partners in crime—before or after missions. Friends within the organization were less than a handful, carefully picked, and that had never bothered her. She wasn't in Rocket for friendship.

As much as she doesn't regret taking such an approach, for a few seconds after the two are left alone, Erin realizes she may be losing efficiency by choosing not to first get an idea of what they were like.

The woman's words surprise her. The seconds wasted staring in concealed bewilderment are seconds she could have better spent inspecting the company-issued computer while her pre-arranged programs ran in the background.

How long has it been since she was last challenged? She can only think of a brief moment spent in the beach, ages ago now.

She opens up the company's roster from the cloud storage of someone in HR. It's a really long data set, testament to the long years of dedication invested into the company by its late heads. Managers, engineers, simple workingmen. They want a position with enough clearance rights to get around the company with ease.

Erin picks a senior business analyst and ponders aloud, "How old do you think our phantom employee looks?" The picture of the Rocket operative they were instructed to use is taking up almost half of her screen. The other half displays her simultaneous attempts at overriding the network's edit logs.
