Well, admittedly the second one was going to be used for trading and negotiations, so… did that count? Maybe.[break][break]

Either way, he was down to three more draconids on his wish list—and while one of them looked rather improbable to find out here—because the damned thing looked like a patch of dying kelp—he hoped that at least one of the other two would turn up![break][break]

Okay, so that’s Flygon, Dratini, Salamence, Hydreigon… that leaves either Haxorus, Garchomp, or Dra… Dra—what the hell was that one called? He thought, raising his right wrist and checking the PokéGear on it, pulling up Dragalge’s information.[break][break]

Right. Dragalge. And I had no idea that Garchomp could actually fly. The hell? Does that even count at this point? He continued to muse in the back of his head, quivering Snorunt resting securely in the crook of his left arm. He knew that the little triangle Pokémon would warn him of any approaching threats—especially if they were draconids.[break][break]

While it wasn’t a dragon, the next thing that they came across did remind him of home—maybe a little too much.[break][break]

He knew how much of a pest Purrloin were all over Unova, especially in Castelia—it was like, every single corner he turned in that big, bustling city there were Purrloin everywhere! Either meowing, or raiding the garbage cans, or just outright yowling at whatever unfortunate passersby who caught their eye for disdain and all that.[break][break]

The sight of one, however, made him question the decision to actually get it.[break][break]

While he wasn’t much of a fan of the line (he was more a Flying-type kind of person) he knew that there was…there was, well, someone who would love the little Dark-type. Even its face reminded him of the…shortie.[break][break]

Well, too much so.[break][break]

“Arceus, why are you thinking of him, are you some kind of a lovesick puppy,” Alexei groaned to himself, smacking his free palm to his face and dragging it downward. “No, Yukiya, I don’t think you want to handle this. Although I know someone would…” he trailed off, and reaching into his pocket he pulls out a recolored Love Ball, the pink changed to some edgier black.[break][break]

He knew Morgiana wouldn’t have her Pokéball any other way.[break][break]

Flicking his wrist forward, he watched as the Salandit emerged in a spitting hiss, landing on the rocks and then baring her fangs at the Purrloin, who was now yowling and basically charging forward, an attempt to Slash the Salandit’s eyes out.[break][break]

“Whoa there, tiger. Morgiana, handle it with some style, will you?!” he yelped, backing away to give the spitting-mad Salandit more room as she quickly reared back and spat out poisonous globules of noxious purple goo, the Toxic attack hitting the Purrloin right in the face. Not wanting to be outdone, the dual-type follows it up right away with a Venoshock, catching it right before those nasty, sharp kitty-cat claws come close enough to claw the Salandit’s eyeballs out.[break][break]

Spitting mad as well, the Purrloin reverses tactics, switching out and retaliating with a Night Slash attack—only to be met in the face with another Venoshock, and the Dark-type’s face contorts into another painful moue as the poison courses through its system, having accidentally inhaled the poisonous globules from earlier.[break][break]

“Damn, you nasty,” Alexei mutters, only to himself as the two hissy, spitty ‘ladies’ continue to fight, and in a few more moments the Purrloin collapses, drained and absolutely tuckered out because of the continuous waves of poison attacking its system, causing it to shut down and collapse from exhaustion.[break][break]

No remorse, as a Pokéball is thrown at the passed-out, Poisoned Purrloin.[break][break]

“Gee, Morgiana…” he says to his Salandit a few moments later, who huffs and sticks her chest out, rather proud of herself.[break][break]

“You sadistic little shit.”
