Always late to everything was Natsuki’s model, not because she had chosen to be fashionably late of course but well things just never seemed to go right when she tried to be on time. The alarm on her phone had not gone off to start the day out right, which had set her whole day back by at least three hours. She had planned on having her day set and done by four in order to get changed, pack and to load up one very anti social Elijah to the beach. Instead her day had turned into a nightmare when the string on her suit broke and she was forced to redress once again into something well it wasn’t a suit she wore for hanging out on the beach with friends. Throwing her cover back over her with haste and slinging her backpack one again over her shoulders it was time for the main event. She had known Elijah for a good bit of time, only making her rounds to visit him when she was completely on her death bed. It was probably a shitty thing to do as someone’s friend but well it wasn’t like he was going to come out and greet her all on his own.

It had taken her another forty five minutes to wrestle with Elijah before she was able to get him into a pair of trunks (much to his displeasure and much to her pleasure) and a jacket and out the door complaining all the way along. It was party for goodness sake's! Just everyone getting along on the beach regardless of the differences between them. By the time the two of them had made it to the beach festivities the parties were already in full swing, snagging what was left of the beach for some mild privacy. Dropping her hold on Elijah’s wrist and letting her bag hit the ground, Natsuki let her Pokemon from there balls and gave them the go head to have a little fun. Turning to give Elijah a sly little glance she couldn’t help but laugh in triumph at her conquest, though she was sure Elijah wouldn’t have seen it that way. “cheer up, on the bright side at least you wont be embarrassed by busty girls in bikini’s I mean you’ve seen more of me then we both have ever wanted and now your immune!” she wasn’t sure exactly how logical her speech had been but it was at least going to get a rise out of Elijah.

elijah did not like the beach. he hated the beach. fuck the beach. the sand got everywhere. in between your toes and under your fingernails. coarse, gritty granules of dead omanyte from eons ago. fuck the beach. fuck the fucking beach.

"yeah. i'm happy to be here." elijah crosses his arms to hide his body.

his tangrowth plays alongside natsuki's pokemon. vines flail around like kelp fighting against an incoming current.

"what's so good about the beach?" he says, "you were late so i guess you didn't really wanna be here too."

Natsuki had long become immune to the negativity that seemed to flow like a life force from Elijah’s body, he was just not a happy soul… well if he had one anyways. Natsuki gave a chuckle at his reply watching his arms slap in furry across his chest as if to protest visually with his pouting. There poke children however seemed to be having the time of their lives with the beach and the gentle lap against the beach. Throwing her right hand to her hip while her left moved to gracefully flip the mass of hair from around her shoulder, Natsuki gave a glorious stance to show off her bathing suit. “ladies take more time then men, we have had this discussion. Besides Roran ate the bottoms to my other swim suit” she cast a glance over at her Pokemon, Roran had heard his name but chose to ignore the fact that she was tattling on him. “ why can’t you just enjoy an outing or two with me without complaint!” she whined “it wont kill you” she mumbled, pouting slightly from his side. Knowing Elijah however the mere thought of going anywhere with Natsuki might have given him a heart attack alone.

"i know plenty of ladies who are like me." elijah barks, his mouth's scowl wide enough for a frisbee. "we just crawl out of bed and call that enough."

he glances over at natsuki's zoroark. more specifically, he aims his gaze at its stomach.

"good luck passing that through."

with a sigh, he rubs his forehead, sweat already beading upon its smooth plane as he snaps his head back like an angry pez dispenser.

"it won't kill me? can we do something that would kill me instead?" elijah stops. then looks toward roran. "hey! you! yeah you! eat me alive! end it all."

If there ever came a day when Elijah didn’t throw at fit about her dragging him along, it would honestly be the day a real alien body snatched him. Natsuki supposed that if it wasn’t for his constant hate on well everything her own outlook wouldn’t have been so cheery? She was trying to give him some sort of lime light, something to make his ever doubtful sway in hating everything an underlying good side and yet everything she had tried to image just sounded well it just wasn’t going to work for him. “Those are not ladies Eli, those are delusional thoughts towards other men” Natsuki sighed setting down on the course sand below, at least he was being .. er lively? “there are some points in your life where just rolling out of being and being satisfied just don't work. Not everyone can just be all” she paused to wave her hands at him as if to encapsulate the words she was trying to use to describe him “ like that…and walk out the door respectfully ok”. Typical of Elijah however Natsuki found him making sideways comments to her poor baby, who she no doubt would have to take to the doctor to cure him of his future blockage.

Pulling on a fake pout Natsuki couldn’t help to but be a little hurt by his comment “does spending that much time with me really want to make you kill yourself?” she asked him, pulling up whatever sad hurtful expression she could must. However her soft and hurt demeanor could only hold out for so long before a glint of spite crept its way from the corners of her mouth. Giving him no time to reply in his oh so dark and elijah-ish fashion “EITHER WAY” she barked loudly, “ this is hell and your stuck with me torturing your soul until god see’s fit to rescue you so stop being a baby and treat me like a proper friend would” her head fell to the side to rest on her should while she stared at him. “ or else I might have to become a proper devil” she grinned.

"i don't mind spending time with you." elijah states. despite the absence of any real melody in his dry declaration, he's sincere.

at least, as sincere as he can outwardly be. perhaps, his sincerity is not as obvious as he believes it to be.

"it's just the beach... @lenora wanted me out here too." the man crumbles the crust of his words in the undercurrent of his breath.

elijah takes a step into the beach- and passes her threat of devilry with a straight face. below his sandals, the sand crunches. screams. screams as if it fears the antagonizing figure gracing its hellish plain.

"so. what's the plan? make a sand-palossand?" elijah says. "sun tan? you're the expert here."

The words coming out of his mouth were foreign, there was no way in hell Elijah Gardner would have ever admitted to wanting to spend time with her. His tone was just as flavorless as ever which was the only sign of her former friend, if he had gotten any fluff with it she would have chucked him to the sharks no sooner as the last word fell from his lips. His words however had taken a turn as the name of some other women dripped from them, with such a defeated sound about him. Natsuki couldn’t help but feel a little jealous, it wasn’t as if he talked about her like that. Elijah has slipped into the pull of the sand walking further out as she stared at his back, the poor thing was just so … easy. His questions had floated past her like clouds, instead her mind focused on one thing. Getting to her feet as silently as she could, Natsuki lifted her right leg before giving Elijah one forceful shove (kick) to the back. The poor boy would had no chance of remaining standing and would find himself wet with sea water. Arms crossed with a scowl on her face Natsuki could only shake her head in disappointment “maybe you should just go drown with @lenora , im the expert after all you should take my advice”

elijah plops into the slushy beach. it's as if he's given up before the kick hits. as if he has already surrendered to his sandy fate. when he rises from the sea water and grain, it's as if he has become the reanimated dead. perhaps, he's a drowned sailor. a pirate executed and pushed off the plank. spirits tethered to the earth like a black pearl fairytale, resurrected to collect 882.

but no. it's much simpler than that. he's resurrected by fury. elijah drags his fingers across his face, peeling away the caked sand from his sturdy jaw. yet, he does not discard it. he cooks the ball of sludge in his hand.

"no."

elijah tosses the sand bomb at natsuki.

the heavy sounds of wet sand splattering down her neck and chest as his attack connected, his defiant no echoing off the water below him. Digging her heal in a little deeper into his back, Natsuki did her best to wipe off some of the sand from her neck. An evil smirk crossing over her face as she glared down at him “your death would have been so much more beautiful had you accepted it gracefully” she told him coolly. Removing her heal from the tender of is back, Natsuki side stepped to his left before bending down to full force push him over. He was going to die today!

elijah will not go gentle in to that good night. no, he will wage war. scrubbing his back gingerly, the man leaps back. from his pocket, he tosses a pokeball. in mid-air, it cracks open like a clam.

the red beam subsides to uncurtain a muppet-like heap of vines. his tangrowth swings its arms happily, the ends of its leafy appendages curling as if to greet the sun.

"kari," elijah addresses his pokemon while keeping his shrewd eyes on his company, "unleash the kraken on this beach lover. pelt her with sand bombs. now."

like a machination of some super eco-villain, the tangrowth begins to mobilize its countless vines. they scoop wet sand from the waters. a battle cry announces the attack as balls of sand begin to catapult toward her like a baseball pitching machine.

As if to sense the danger she was in Roran was quick to snatch Natsuki up and move her in zig-zaging motions away from the barrage that Elijah had unleashed upon her. There was nothing much Natsuki could do to fight back, spending all of her time being forcefully slung around as Roran continued to dodge the onslaught of attacks pelted towards them. Thought she couldn’t do much herself it seemed that Jupiter and Jiro had come up with a plan themselves as the two Pokemon had joined forces. Jiro on the back of Jupiter had attempted to make their way towards Elijah in a all out attempt to hit him first with a well crafted sand glob.

sensing that her partner is in danger, the tangrowth reels back several of its corded arms.

the vines connect together, weaving into a curved shield that blocks the two from the sableye's lob. the sand squelches against the tangrowth. it plops on to the beach like a sad scoop of fallen ice cream.

"alright, alright. enough!"

elijah scans the surroundings. people observe the two from afar, and can see their battlefield riddled with small craters from which the tangrowth and sableye created their sand bombs.

"why the hell did you kick me, huh?! are you jealous that i just so happen to know other girls? or is this your own twisted way of having fun?"

The pair had only just landed to make way for Jiro to reload before Eli’s voice cast out among the waves for the lot to stop. The pokemon now stopped in their tracks, glancing back for orders. Waving a hand for the two of them to stop, Natsuki could only say and Eli began to complain once more. Even if she was jealous it wasn’t like he would take any of her words seriously after all. “Maybe I just love seeing those rock hard pecks encased by that wet shirt of yours?” she smirked “why are you complaining, to embarrassed to have a little fun with me?” her eyes darted to a few groups of people who had stopped to watch them, not that it had bothered her much to have someone stare at her. With her body it was the kind of thing you either got used to or covered up so much in shame you never wanted to leave the house. Stretching her arms up into the air, Natsuki turned to face the ocean “ would it kill you to live a little ?” she questioned.

"i don't think 'living a little' means suddenly driving your smelly foot into my back."

elijah rubs the grit off his hands, but granules coat his skin like incessant glitter. much like her at this moment. she's driving him up the wall, for his already thin patience has become crushed into sand.

"aight. i'm heading out."

elijah grumbles, his clenched molars crushed into dust. without even looking, he calls his tangrowth back in to her ball.

"coming here was a mistake."
