he rides his manectric until they are well away from the main path. he'd say he equally as far away from the two closest towns at his current location, but he had no clue about his exact location on the map.

he gets off of the electric-type, patting its head as he asked the question.

"how far can you make your electric terrain go?"

the manectric lets out a huff before releasing electricity onto the ground. despite him wearing footwear, even kyle could feel the tingling sensation of electric current that surges to a diameter from his manectric. kyle follows the extent of the move until it reaches its end.

"no good, huh?"

he wonders if his manectric could even reach the level of that luxray. being able to cover the whole town in electric terrain was a feat he was starting to doubt that an ordinary pokemon like his electric-type would be able to accomplish.

he supposed an area as small as the current electric terrain innes generated would be fine in a match. it was small enough not to bother anyone unrelated to a battle, but large enough to cover a battlefield.

he sees a sunflora peek. perhaps it was simply investigating the source of the sudden electrification of its home. kyle shoos it away, to which it does. the last thing he wanted was an unnecessary battle with a wild pokemon.

the rattata doesn't do the same response as the sunflora. it willingly goes into the manectric's field of electricity. each step caused it to sparked that, while harmless, prompted the canine to take full attention to it.

the manectric subconsciously releases a bolt of electricity to where the rattata was, jolting it completely before scaring it off. the rodent runs back to the bushes it came from, quickly hiding itself from kyle's sight.

"we probably shouldn't disturb anyone else," he concludes.

just as the duo was about to leave the area, the manectric turns his head to a movement. he sees the fairy-type make unnecessary movements because of the electric terrain tingling its feet.

the snubbull sees the manectric and deems it the culprit. it tries to attack the manectric. the manectric doesn't back down and battles the snubbull in retaliation.

zap zap zap boom the pink dog is electrocuted. it cannot move afterwards after it is hit by a large bolt of lightning from the sky. it's still alive though, which is a big component of whether or not one can capture a pokemon.

kyle throws a pokeball at the snubbull after the manectric weakens it.
