A keycard is pressed to a door—a light changed from red to green in the ruins of Slateport, where buildings rest in their state of dilapidation. The events of Fallarbor have just transpired, but there was no time for rest. The once-Head Scientist would signal for the woman behind him to keep pace as he dipped into the depths of his workplace.[break][break]

His walk was brisk. They had to move. They had to relocate before too much time could elapse.[break][break]

Desmond Kelley would shove a cardboard box into her hands—stacks of binders and lab equipment ready to overflow. He had been wise enough to pack the night prior, leaving the once bustling lap to a state of dismantlement. It would not take long for two people to move its contents.[break][break]

“Our escort will be parked at the docks. We cannot dally,” and his eyes would only take a moment to appraise his once-assistant before he would retrieve a box of his own.

Worry and anxiety had not plagued her despite the given situation that had knocked on their doorstep. Instead a rush of excitement and thrill found themselves in place of the more worrying feelings; things hadn’t been this exciting for quite some time. It was certainly unusual for someone in a position such as this to be more delighted than distressed.

The once assistant followed closely behind the man who had given her this position as they furthered deeper into the lab. She kept up with his pace and withheld any questions she might have asked at the time, as time wasn’t something they had in spades.

Even if they did she had a clear understanding of the situation, of what they needed to be doing so there was little point in asking any questions further on the subject. The box that had been given to her haphazardly was filled beyond its capacity so the woman had to peer to the side to even see the man.

The state of the lab was a bit disheartening, it had been another home to her but alas all things have to come to an end. ”Should I have Artemis transport us to our destination?” Would be the only question she’d ask of him.

The man would be quite familiar with the woman’s guardian Pokémon, having been essentially another assistant to him much like the woman was. Only mere seconds would have to pass for the psychic pokemon to teleport them where they needed to be.

He was always prepared for this. He was always prepared to begin anew.

With the reply Eva let loose her Gardevoir, quickly thereafter getting the Pokémon caught up to speed on what was required of her. ”Ooooh?” The woman cooed, she was unaware of whatever had happened in mossdeep, the finer details, so the opportunity to learn about it was exciting.

This sort of chaos always got Eva excited, excited to see what was going to come from the ashes of the fire. And in this case, it seemed like it was going to be something absolutely beautiful and lucky for her she had a front-row seat to watch it all happen.

A brow raised yet again at the man’s words, this time with mixed emotions following behind the action. New position? Eva wasn’t sure how exactly she felt about that. She wasn’t the type that jumped at the first sign of a promotion or gaining power.

Not that she completely lacked the ambition to do so it was more so she wasn’t keen on some of the key aspects that came with rising up in the ranks. More responsibilities which meant more headaches and annoyances to deal with. But on the other hand that did mean there were plenty of benefits to come from it.

This was all assuming that this was a move up from where she was and not just something dealing with the change of location they were undergoing. Regardless she watched eagerly as the man tinkered, knowing that given the opportunity she would love to be able to watch the place burn.

Not out of any sort of hatred but because it was just exciting to watch. But alas they clearly didn’t have time for such things. ”Artemis is ready.” The Gardevoir nodded, some part of Eva might actually miss this place. There were some fond memories.
