To say Stormy was rattled was an understatement. The girl still hadn't quite stilled her trembling hands. In all honestly, the whole situation was ridiculous. Rocket was disbanded, there was little to no threat involving her anymore. Theoretically, she was safe.[break][break]

The man who had hurt her held no power over her anymore, if at all. She had recently parted ways with the private detective she had tracked down, and while he had likely assured her he'd look into her case, she didn't feel comforted.[break][break]

What's worse, she found herself trapped in Oldale town. The people who recognized took note of the ranger-esque colours she wore and very quickly pulled her to what appeared to be a situation at the exit of the town.[break][break]

For whatever reason, a sleeping Snorlax had taken up temporary residence just outside of Oldale. Citizens were literally trapped inside or outside of the area until the beast woke up. [break][break]

Stormy would scratch her head, stilling her rattled nerves to try and think about what she should do in this situation. Of course, she could easily fly away on Wadjet, but that wouldn't be at all helpful to the town. Flying away and leaving the mess for someone else to clean up just wasn't something she had ever been comfortable with.[break][break]

And so, Stormy would pace back and forth, often glancing at the black-scaled Charizard as if hoping the dragon might give her an idea.[break][break]

“How about everyone give the lady some breathing space and back off a little…” Worded like a suggestion it may have been but the firm tone that accompanied them, the expression on the man’s features, dashed any possibilities of that being even a sliver of a chance. It was clear from the steel sternness of his eyes alone that it was undisputedly mandatory they comply. Quickly.

Approaching the crowd, all of them standing along the width of the path watching the gigantic familiar form of a blissfully asleep pokemon and the young woman pacing before it, Benjamin waded into the barrier of bodies, urging the civilians to make room for him to get past. Most took that as the sign that they should take a few steps back. They had to if they didn't want to get nudged by wide shoulders.

It was understandable that the civilians were impatient, he was sure that many had places to be and precious minutes were being wasted being stuck here, yet the situation certainly wouldn’t be resolved any faster by breathing down their helper’s neck. Especially when there was a gigantic mound of fur and blubber, one with a renowned grumpy morning attitude, to forcefully wake and coax away, too. He couldn't let the public get caught up in a potential tantrum.

It was a long way back to Lavaridge by foot, that very distance not preparing Benjamin to come across a well-known face from the town that seemed so far away, her appearance unmistakable despite their lacking amount of actual conversations. Even those as politically removed as him knew who the resident gym leader was, especially one who had gone through the ranger system and had carved a new for herself in such a short span of time. “Ms Silph,” hands in his pockets, his own old ranger jacket shoved in his backpack, Benjamin came to stand before his ally with a little dip of his head in greeting, brow pinched into a neutral frown that those aware few would know was just his default, relaxed expression. “Looks like you've got things covered here. How's it going?”

Another voice cropped up behind her, threatening to set her off. She had just opened her mouth, exasperation the taste on her tongue, before she paid attention to what exactly had been said.[break][break]

A glance over her shoulder showed her a man who appeared to be pushing the crowd back, his stiff words coming across as potentially a little ruder than expected. Stormy was thankful for it, however, because it meant the more incessant and annoying civilians had finally backed off to give her some space.[break][break]

Stormy had ceased her endless pacing to watch the individual squeeze through the crowd. Something familiar about him tugged at her memory, and she narrowed her eyes only to try and recall where she knew the man from.[break][break]

That, and the way Benjamin looked upon her was another indication the two were previously acquainted. He even addressed her by name, which startled and embarrassed her, considering she was at a loss for what his name might be.[break][break]

Although that guilt soon subsided a little bit as it was more than likely he knew of her because she was the Lavaridge gym leader, not because they knew each other previously.[break][break]

"If you're trying to flatter me, don't bother. I have no idea how to move this thing. It's not like I carry a pokeflute at all times."[break][break]

She sighs, exhausted by the situation. She presses her palm against her forehead, applying pressure in the hopes she might come up with something.[break][break]

"Attacking it isn't going to make this any easier, he'll just wake up mad as hell and start massacring the town. Honestly... I could use some help."[break][break]

There's defeat in her tone, as if it truly pains her to admit she needs help.[break][break]

An eyebrow quirked, his head tilted in intrigue as Ms Silph seemed perplexed with the Snorlax barricade, her apparent struggle allowing for a brief flicker of bemusement to creep across his expression. Benjamin had not expected for the young woman who had caused so many waves to be stumped with getting an overweight pokemon to move its ass.

“Who said I was trying to compliment you... You haven't done anything, yet.” He responded, hands in his pockets as he approached, giving the sleeping giant a once over before stealing a glance at the brunette with the troubled expression. “You're not stumped already, are you?” His steel greys crinkled ever so slightly at the corner, not exactly joking but not hard either, as if promising that the mission wasn’t a failure yet. That she didn’t need to sound so defeated five seconds into this thing.

“Well, since it’s blocking my way, too… I suppose I could hang about and lend a hand. If it'll move things along a little quicker.” He wasn't about to turn tail and leave now, was he?

Hands escaping his pockets, Benjamin folded them over his chest as he observed both comatose and awake beings within his field of vision, worn looking pokeballs glittering at their position on his belt as the sunlight hit them. Thankfully most of the civilians had backed off after his firm prompt, allowing both rangers some space to breath and think, although chances were they still had their eyes glued to them, they were far off to ignore. Benjamin wondered if that would calm the pressure surrounding the gym leader, even if just a little.

“He’s going to be a grumpy fucker, regardless of whether you wake him up with a bowl of food or a sucker punch, that’s just how they are.” For such a beloved pokemon that held such an image of softness, Snorlax sure were miserable bastards. Benjamin released a sigh, crouching down to peer at the round creatures sleepy expression, hand pushing against its forehead in an experimental shove that only prove to release an earth trembling snore that made his hair flutter. Benjamin scowled. It could use a tic-tac or something. Gross.

“He's out of it, chances are we'll have to be a little forceful... If you're worried about the spectators, you should get them to go back to town for a while.” Or he would happily tell them to shove off.

Heat fills her cheeks, and one hand runs through her thick brown hair, an attempt to keep her cool, a distraction from the biting words she's received. [break][break]

"I'm not stumped, you idiot. I'm just not willing to put the whole in town in danger. I am quite aware of how grumpy these Pokemon are, thanks for the tip though."[break][break]

Her eyes narrow as she challenges him to speak against her again. She holds no authority over him, of course, but she has never been the type to idly sit by and take lip from a complete stranger.[break][break]

A small smile creeps across her lips as she shakes her head at his weak offer to help. [break][break]

"If it's an inconvenience to you, you might as well stand with the rest of the annoying citizens. I don't need a prick to stand next to me with his hands in his pockets acting all indifferent and cocky."[break][break]

Wadjet snorts, clearly amused with the way her trainer is responding. Her tail swishes from side to side as she regards the man with mild indifference. [break][break]

Stormy sighs, looking over her shoulder and throwing up a hand to grab the attention of the bickering, complaining people still surrounding them.[break][break]

"Hey!"[break][break]

She acts as if this is her idea, slightly pushing past the man to take charge of the situation.[break][break]

"Everyone needs to get the hell out of here before someone gets hurt! I won't be responsible for anyone getting burned or squashed by an oversized pillow! Go on, get out of here and complain in the privacy of your own home, this lazy Pokemon will be gone within an hour."[break][break]

The fire in her eyes burns brightly, and slowly but surely, the people begin to grunt and grumble and get out of the way, disappearing deeper into the town.[break][break]

Taking a deep breath, she glances back at the man.[break][break]

"Fine, I can use your help. We need to wake this thing up and beat it back into the wild. Maybe if people stopped feeding them, they wouldn't be encouraged to visit towns for their next big meal."[break][break]

She whistles, gesturing from her Charizard to the Snorlax, jutting her head to encourage the dragon to step forward.[break][break]

Wadjet does as she's asked, walking up to the sleeping Snorlax. She promptly breathes a FLAMETHROWER just above it's face, hoping to startle it awake. Meanwhile, Stormy reaches for another pokeball, releasing a very pretty Ninetales who's mere presence brings out the sun and makes her tails billow and Charizard's flames burn brighter.[break][break]

From his crouched position near the Snorlax, Benjamin peered over his shoulder to look at the woman whose voice had turned from embarrassed and uncertain, to barbed and curt. Steel grey eyes stared right back at her - hard. He had not been expecting a request for help to turn into a name calling session. He’d probably be pissed off at her, if he wasn’t too busy being somewhat amused, a single eyebrow rising as the brunette huffed and spat with spitfire venom, frozen in place by his surprise.

"That's a funny reaction for someone who 'has everything under control'. Sure you're not actually just a little embarrassed about a Snorlax getting the best of you?" Looking down at the gravel below, Benjamin placed a palm on his knee and pushed himself back up to full height, purposefully shoving his hands right back in his pockets. "But that might just be a 'cocky pricks' opinion."

Despite Ms Silph reflecting his offer to help, Benjamin stood in place regardless, watching as the brunette dashed off to go bark orders at the civilians who impatiently grumbled within earshot. Her demands were about as blunt as could be and again he found himself hiding a smirk behind a quirked brow, not wanting to encourage her sudden change if it meant her swearing and berating him. Even if it was kind of amusing to watch her telling the spectators to get lost in a way that resonated with him. He had been tempted to tell them something similar.

It looked like something had lit a fire under her ass.

"So now that all of the witnesses are gone, you'll happily accept an idiot's help, hm?" Clearly he wasn't offended, otherwise Benjamin would have been long gone by now, rather than standing exactly where the gym leader had left him with the only alteration being just the slightest curvature on his lips. Still, as amusing as her sudden outburst had been, for Benjamin had always appreciated a straightforward nature - no matter how blunt - he decided that it was probably best not to push the accomplished trainer any further. Not when they had a large customer that needed far more shoving. "Fine, I'll lend you a hand, let's hurry up and get this thing moving before your fans come back and we have more things to chase off." Sometimes the best ideas were the simplist.

Benjamin barely stepped out of the way before the Charizard, its skin a unique charcoal black, released a plume of embers from its maw towards the sleeping titan. He didn't flinch however, not when the heat seeped into the air; far too used to the sensation to pay it any mind. His fingertips grasped the familiar shape of Pip's pokeball, tossing out the Swampert at the same time as the Silph released a Ninetales, the large blue form of the mudfish pokemon tilting its head in intrigue at the scene before him.

Perhaps it was for the best that the sun was beginning to effect the pokemon's abilities, for as the heat from the Charizard went over their targets head, Pip released a hydro pump from its parted jaw, releasing a torrent of slightly weakened, yet still chilly, water to collide right into the Snorlax's face.

Nothing like a cold shower to wake you up.

She's thrown off by his heated responses. There's a telling smirk in the way he speaks, as if he's goading her on a bit or pressing her just a little to see what her reaction might be. She watches as he nonchalantly stuffs his hands back into his pockets, only further aggravating her.[break][break]

Except, this time she merely takes a deep breath to steel her rattled nerves and her bad attitude. She doesn't know this man, or at least she doesn't think she does. Something about him screams familiar, but it could be because he reminds her of herself, quick to throw back a response to someone trying to put them down.[break][break]

His face remains placid, untelling. She can't properly gauge what he's feeling, but she notices how often he quirks a brow and observes her. Her own eyebrows narrow, her nose crinkles as she observes him too, her fiery red eyes meeting his steely gray ones. [break][break]

"It is a cocky prick's opinion, so maybe he should shut up, yeah?"[break][break]

Flames lick the nose of the Snorlax, but it seems to act like a feather, only stirring the beast enough for him to lift a claw and scratch at his face as if it had tickled. Stormy then came to the conclusion that he might have the THICK FAT ability, meaning that the Pokemon would barely feel fire or ice-type attacks.[break][break]

Wadjet huffs in annoyance, foot thumping as she swings her head back around to gaze at her master, as if waiting for her next order.[break][break]

Ninetales, on the other hand, has become transfixed with the sleeping giant, a look of coyness clear in the way she sits.[break][break]

"Just don't get yourself hurt."[break][break]

Stormy looks to her Ninetales, and then to Wadjet. But, just as she does this, Benjamin had released his Swampert. For a moment, she felt a pang of guilt, the mere sight of the Pokemon reminding her immediately of Laurence Anderson's deceased Swampert. Witnessing the Pokemon perform a weakened hydro pump caused the woman to hesitate and become lost in her thoughts.[break][break]

The Charizard continues regardless, but promptly takes a step back and takes to the sky, hovering a few feet in the air while the Snorlax wakes up, clearly unhappy to be dowsed in freezing water. It rubs its eyes and looks around as it gets up, eyes crossed into a hate-glare. Stormy shakes herself back to reality and takes a step back herself, a wash of unease causing her to continue with caution.[break][break]

"Solar beam!"[break][break]

Wadjet flies a little bit higher, her flames grow brighter and hotter as she absorbs the sun and begins to charge. A few more seconds, and just as the Snorlax takes a step to engage the Charizard and slap her out of the air, Wadjet releases a powerful SOLAR BEAM, blasting the Pokemon back a few feet.[break][break]

"Go home, you greedy monster! There's plenty of food where you come from, get out of town!"[break][break]

"I think I'll manage." He responds at Ms Silph's, not at all aggressive, show of concern towards his wellbeing. His ranger jacket squished into the bottom of his backpack, discarded after the summer sun began to pour down a little too strongly, Benjamin guessed that there was no other way for the brunette to identify him. Otherwise she may have known that he was more than qualified to deal with the equivalent of a grumpy, teenager who suffered a phobia of early mornings. It didn't seem relevant to casually bring it up now, however; not when the Charizard began to smoothly glide high into action.

"Make some room, then use Hammer arm!"

At the sight of the shiny Charizard releasing a huge beam of dazzling gold, Pip heeded the warning to get out of the impact zone, dodging the pillar of solar energy as it cascaded straight down onto the Snorlax who had risen to its short, fat feet. As the creature staggered, pushed backwards by the force of the gym leader's pokemon, Pip suddenly lunged, appearing before the sleeping creature as soon as the beam vanished, striking a glowing fist with his entire weight behind the punch. Already maintaining a fragile balance from the Charizard's powered-up attack, Pip's fighting type move smashed straight into its large exposed belly, forcing the wobbling titan to skid backwards along the ground with a crash, dust flying.

One second passed, then two and three, with the Snorlax remaining still on the ground, unmoving. Benjamin stayed fixed in place, cloudy greys trained upon the creature, waiting for any sign of movements and signs that the beast was comatose again or simply sluggish to respond. He released a steady exhale from his nose, rubbed his index finger against his thumb, as he steeled himself like he had done a thousand times. Poised, ready to leap, like a Meowth ready to pounce towards Ms Silph or bark out an order. His heart maintained a peppy rhythm, a beautiful mixture of calm and thriving in the moment.

It happened in time with a large, aggravated grumble, like someone irritated and half asleep, the Snorlax taking another swipe at the Charizard with an aggressive and suddenly fierce lunge. Heavy Slam materialising in a silver shine around its body as the normal type rose a large paw to try and grab the lizard by the leg, attempting to slam it down to the ground.

"It's fighting back; looks like it didn't like your adivce too much... Pip, don't let it ground Charizard!" At Benjamin's call, the Swampert, due to its close proximity thrust his large fists out towards the Snorlax, grasping hold of its bulky arms in an attempt to grapple it, to push it away, so that the Charizard may remain airborne. "Oi, move." He takes an instinctual step in his impromptu partner's direction, voice sharp and stern as he waves a hand out in her direction to usher her backwards from the brawling creatures, lest one of the large bodies stumble too close in their scuffle.

Wadjet would fly backwards a bit, her own body a little jostled by the power of her solar beam. It takes her a moment to recover, and she grunts, looking to the Swampert as he lands a punch on the wild Snorlax. The combination of their attacks knocks the Snorlax back down, which makes Stormy wrinkle her nose in irritation - that hadn't been what she wanted. She wanted it to run away.[break][break]

Her hands fall to her sides in annoyance as she watches the Snorlax lay on the ground for a few seconds more, no indication of getting back up. Her heart is pounding and there's fire in her veins, but she's only just getting started. [break][break]

Finally, the beast lets out a rumble, slowly getting back to its feet. However, on the way up, it swipes at the Charizard. Wadjet bellows, tucking her knees and beating her wings to push her away. Fortunately, her own quick thinking and the retaliation of the Swampert keeps her from being pulled out of the air. [break][break]

Stormy curses under her breath, feeling the heart squeeze of surprise, knowing that she had done the one thing Fernando told her not to do. How many times did he have to drill into her that she needed to maintain distance?[break][break]

Suddenly, Benjamin is closer to her, waving her away. Her eyes narrow in arrogant defiance at the incredulity of this man, and she opens her mouth to object when Wadjet suddenly swoops near her, growing a bit too close for comfort as she engages the Snorlax again, her claws imbued with draconic power.[break][break]

As a result, Stormy sidesteps and reappears behind Benjamin, one hand reached out to stop herself from tripping in her haste to get out of the way, so she might have latched onto Ben for a moment.[break][break]

If she did, she promptly let's go, dusts her clothes, and refocuses on the battle.[break][break]

"Drive it back, show it isn't welcome here. Remember to use counter when you can!"[break][break]

Wadjet would rumble in acknowledgement, but it's clear she has this under control. Her DRAGON CLAW continues to slash at the beast's face, making it lift its meaty hands up to protect it's eyes. Every once in a while he would bat at the flying dragon, only to be met with a COUNTER.[break][break]

Stepping towards the brunette as the Charizard swept close enough to send their clothes and hair into a flutter, Benjamin caught sight of her expression turning tightly disgruntled, looking very much like she wanted to fight against his suggestion. Words did not form between either of them however, as Benjamin stayed firmly rooted in place as the battling titans smashed into one another, becoming a quietly stubborn barrier as dust and gravel was thrown into the air. So focused on the battle was Ben, that he barely noticed the young woman's grip on the bare skin of his arm, only taking note of her close proximity when her fingertips slipped off him with but a tickling sensation.

Storm cloud coloured eyes flickered towards the Silph as she hovered in his peripheral vision, lingering for a long thoughtful second before a shower of grit forced him to break the connection, arm flying up to shield his face. His boots remained firmly in place right in front of their small two-person-team.

"Wait until Charizard gives you an opening," it looked like the fire lizard was dominating the close range battle, using its dragon claw and counter, against the slower Snorlax. When the fire type dodged or finished up a counter, creating a breath of space, Pip was there, throwing a Hammer Arm into the vacant area. Both of them were not allowing the normal type a moment to recover, their powerful fighting type moves steadily overwhelming the creature as they took it in turns to pummel the blubber, baiting and switching.

Gradually, between all of the flying paws and claws, Snorlax doing its best to keep up by throwing some nasty shots of its own that had smacked into Pip's less mobile form on multiple occasions, it seemed that the sleepy pokemon was beginning to step backwards. "Tell your Charizard to get out of the way!" Throwing the gym leader a look over his shoulder, his words blunt and to the point, giving no room for debate, Benjamin's scowling eyes seem to glisten, like molten iron bubbling with contained fire.

She could finish it if she wanted but first...

"Use Muddy Water; send it packing!" Dark, murky water began to stir around the Swampert's feet as it let out a battle cry, a wave beginning to build higher and higher until it grew taller than the Snorlax, threatening to crash down and push it all the way to the ocean.

Charizard and the Swampert beat back the Snorlax slowly but surely. Ninetales remains by Stormy's side, only moving to avoid being dirtied by the constant cloud of dust that continues to get pushed their way.[break][break]

There's a moment there, albeit fleeting, that Charizard gets knocked aside. She moves too quickly, doesn't pay enough attention to where her tail is, and she gets pummelled to the ground. [break][break]

Wadjet gets back on her feet, however, buffeting sand and grit in the opponent's eyes to secure her escape. Just as she does this, Benjamin gruffly orders Stormy to call her Charizard back.[break][break]

Fortunately, the black beast does as she's told without Stormy's consent, dipping her head and giving the Swampert enough distance while also flying higher in the air.[break][break]

The smell of water hits both of their noses, and Ninetales delicately lifts her paws and darts farther back to avoid getting wet.[break][break]

With a cry, the Swampert pushes the wave of muddy water at the opponent, and the Snorlax slips on the wet pavement, crashing down again but this time being swept away for good. [break][break]

Stormy breathes a sigh of relief and scratches her head for a moment before turning to her Charizard, who had promptly returned to her side to receive praise for her efforts.[break][break]

The woman's hands find the nooks and crannies and soft-spots she so desperately loves having scratched, and her voice is soft and loving.[break][break]

"Well done, Wadjet! I'm so proud of you. But don't take orders from strangers, alright?"[break][break]

She pointedly looks at Benjamin.[break][break]

In a flurry of huge wings, the ebony Charizard instinctively flew out of reach of the large wave, allowing Pip to release the Muddy Water with as much force as he could muster now that the precious tail flame was out of the way. To be honest, Benjamin wasn't expecting the Snorlax to be swept away like it was having a relaxing snooze on the lazy river ride, its large round body floating off like an inflatable ring with the pull of the wave. It went an impressive distance until, its body a lot smaller from how far it had surfed, it seemed the creature had taken enough of a pummelling for one day and toddled off into some bushes. Leaving the path it had claimed to finally become vacant.

It was only then, once it was out of sight, that Benjamin left his post and made his way towards Pip, the Swampert stepping forward to meet him. As Ms Silph fussed over her own, the ranger ran a hand over the head and back of the mudfish just once, a brief wordless moment of praise as he scanned Pip for damage. It seemed he had been hit around a little but, perhaps fuelled by adrenaline, the Swampert wore a big goofy grin and closed his eyes to the feel of Benjamin's affectionate gesture.

Ms Silph's voice hadn't wavered in the slightest. His lips curled in a slight smirk as she, pointedly loud enough for him to hear, told her Charizard not to listen to strangers. She had a real attitude. He couldn't say that he disliked it.

"She's right." The 'stranger' responded, words 'aimed' at the Charizard and eyes on Pip as he spoke loud over his shoulder. "Us rangers are the worst. Always getting into shitty situations and telling others what to do." That was when he turned, approaching the young woman with a small dip of his head, his introduction vague and not really one at all as he held out a flat palm towards the shiny Charizard in greeting, his own pokemon hovering close to his shoulder. "Didn't look like it turned out to be such a big inconvenience that a cocky one hung around in the end, though." He rose a brow in dry mirth, only partly serious although his gruff voice probably made it sound more so, as he brought up the Silph's earlier claim.

Stormy would lift a hand to her brow, blocking out the sun as she watches the Snorlax drift away. It eventually get to its feet and wanders away, likely having forgotten about the whole fight.[break][break]

Following this, Wadjet continues to bury her nose into her trainers hands, making a noise almost akin to purring. However, she soon stops as Ben speaks up, his sarcasm tugging a noise Stormy had never heard the Charizard make before.[break][break]

The womans eyes narrow as she glances between her Pokemon and the stranger, unsure what to make of her Pokemons laughter. He approaches not long after, hand outstretched for her companion. [break][break]

Much to her dismay, or shock, perhaps, Wadjet presses her cheek into the mans hand. It's clear at this point that the pair already know each other, or that the dragon trusts him. Stormy blinks for a moment, unsure how to respond. When she eventually does, she clears her throat in embarrassment.[break][break]

"You're a ranger? I've never seen you befo-- oh... shit. Oh god.. are you? Of course you are."[break][break]

She laughs to herself but it's a sarcastic, bitter laugh because shes mentally kicking herself.[break][break]

"You need a ride anywhere? Wadjet seems to like you, and I'm inclined to think she won't leave without you."[break][break]

As the Charizard took his olive branch, Benjamin looked down at Ms Silph out of the corner of his eye, smiling lazily as he scratched the flying lizard underneath her chin, his rough hands not minding the warmth that bubbled under her skin. There was a secret tinge of satisfied sweetness on his tongue as the gym leader seemed like she instead had been forced to swallow something bitter. At least, it wasn't a very guarded secret, considering an amused chuckle bubbled from his throat in the face of her awkwardness, clearly finding it funny as opposed to being offended. How could he when he had been witness to a display of her honest fire?

"Well, I can't let Wadjet down now, can I?" Benjamin responded with a final scratch behind her ear before turning to the brunette. There was a slight, knowing tilt to the corner of his mouth as he accepted the young woman's offer, feeling that this was perhaps a more memorable 'first' meeting. That this was more along the lines of the real Stormy Silph, as opposed to that very brief yet professional passing they had experienced some time ago. "To Lavaridge, then?"

Once again, she clears her throat and the lump that has begun to form in the pit of her stomach. Humiliation is the emotion of the hour, and she's more than happy to keep quiet about it. Wadjet picks up on her discomfort and chortles a bit under her breath, leaning her scaly nose into the roughness of Ben's hand.[break][break]

The woman smiles stiffly as Benjamin accepts her offer for a ride home. Although not upset that he had, it only prolonged her discomfort.[break][break]
"No, you absolutely cannot. The grudges she holds last several lifetimes."[break][break]

There's a small smile that peeks from under her stiff exterior, and Stormy gestures and mounts the black beast herself, sliding further up her back to make room for her new passenger. She glances over her shoulder and shrugs.[break][break]

"That's where I'm goin, sure hope you're okay with that."[break][break]

Two powerful wing flaps bring them into the air and Stormy pivots to prevent her hair from billowing into Ben's face. [break][break]
