The usual stench of garbage that had begun rotting in the summer heat grows more putrid as time goes on. Jack wrinkles his irritated nose. Then silence was broken, not by the usual sounds of yelling or drunks, but instead by the sound of what he assumes to be a dumpster diver in an upcoming alleyway. As he walks by it he takes a drag and looks in.

What he saw in the alley was an attack on the senses. A garbodore tore through trash bags sitting in a dumpster. It stuffs hand fulls of decaying meat and garbage into its mouth. Its rotting teeth somehow cleanly cut through it all, even the few unfortunate rattatas that had gotten caught in the middle of the carnage.

With his presence going unnoticed by the grotesque pokemon Jack minds his own business. Continuing to walk down the streets caked with years of grime and neglect.

The sidewalk ran red with the blood of a purrloin. Jack watches as a malnourished zweilous tore into it, illuminated by the street light overhead.

"Bound to be worth something." He reaches for a pokeball as his houndour growls softly. Red light illuminates the features of his face face for a split second as he releases a Machoke. "Take it down." Jack jabs a finger in the dragon's direction.

Too occupied bickering among itself Zweilous doesn't notice the machoke approaching from behind. It forms an x with its arms which it uses to deal a hefty blow to the head.
