[attr="class","spiral"] no. no it's not. that's not fun at all. and fernando shows it with a visible frown and a mild whining noise. he can never tell with isra and the unexpected refusal to partake dampens his advance. most of it is him feigning pushiness in an attempt to goad her into it but his expectations have been tempered.

"i'm trying to." the lifelessness of his expression points toward his only obstacle. "but you're making it really hard."

Every so often fernando catches her by surprise and this time he does. Perhaps because she's just not used to such a response from him. It seems equally as unfitting and it amuses her and makes her grin. "I am not the Onsen, Fernando." the tip of her finger taps the tip of his nose. A mimicked behavior she's picked up from people watching to pass the time.

"That's a good line though, very flattering." she teases, her smile coy as she moves to drift away from him if he'll let go. Not too far of course, just enough.

[attr="class","spiral"] looks like she didn't take the bait. he didn't expect her to but there's a certain amount of pushiness that tends to have people bend to his will. shed the layers of their expectations, how startled they become when fernando seems to loosen up, and they'll cave to something their not familiar with. usually, anyway. knowing this, he tries his luck but reality reflects his predictions and he's left mentally rolling his eyes.

the touch of her finger against his nose only worsens his complexion. he's frowning now and equally displeased. "yet here i am, with nothing to show for it." her body may part but the annoyance doesn't. it festers and he ignores it, calmed by the still pleasantness of the water's warmth.

She shrugs, turning as she drifts so that her back is to him and letting herself sink a little further below the water, until the warmth is up to her chin. "You should know by now I like to be difficult. Wasn't about to let you win on the first try." that'd be a crying shame she could never let herself live down.

"So maybe you'll just have to try again." sing son- she enjoys it after all. It's amusing to toy because she expects that he will try. Even if not tonight he will again eventually. He's the one that keeps coming back for more after all.

"by now you know what you're getting into so you must consider it that troublesome yet." she grins to herself because the idea is amusing even if reality says its untrue. She can still amuse herself now and again at least.

Whatever he's playing at she lets sit between them a moment. He may be right but she's not sure how it matters here because in reality what was there to lose?

"that might get you somewhere if you weren't just my boss that I sometimes have a little extra fun with. Every so often you aren't so bad but I don't really know you beyond work." even if she felt like she was getting the hang of him it didn't change the fact that they didn't really talk about things that mattered or even really knew anything of substance about each other. They didn't have to of course, it just left his words hallow.

"shall we call that strike 2? Something about 3 strikes was it?" isra chuckled.

[attr="class","spiral"] "little fun." fernando scoffs at the description but lets it come to pass. truthfully, she's not far off but to address it so bluntly leaves a sour taste in his mouth. it almost makes it seem vulgar — which it is, but something her prefers to ignore in lieu of the satisfaction of the moment.

"there's not much to me beyond work," he states plainly. fernando comes to realize that the only person's mood being soured is his own and it all stems from her stubborn refusal. he puts a damper on it immediately, his self awareness strengthening his mentality.

"strike three and nothing happens. just like everything else."

"Nothing only happens when you make don't try hard enough to begin with.” as for what she meant by that even she couldnt be certain. only that she could be satisfied by the right hand being played and he hasnt gotten there yet tonight.

"No one is every just their work. Something has to make you a man that delves into his work." even if he didnt see it that way she did and would be difficult to convince otherwise. Slowly she drifts back towards him, content to bump into him again as they talk.

She can't help but start to laugh. She covers her mouth to stifle it because she knows he'll just get more in a mood but that's why she's laughing to begin with. Sometimes his stubborn is a little bit cute and she can let it slide just a little bit.

"And?" she fails to see what impact his point was supposed to make.

"What if I don't believe you Fernando." she closes the gap between them again, tapping his nose. "What then?"

"then you're stupid." there's spite behind his words, mostly from his annoyance, but also from his nature to resist letting someone else have the last word. the boop to his nose christens his steady scowl.
