[attr="class","spiral"] the recent discovery of mega stones in the region has inspired the public to participate in mining expeditions on their own. the league has issued warnings to those embarking on these ventures; however, the desire for wealth and battling power may cause many to engage in risk-taking behavior.

fernando spends his day helping clear a cave-in caused by several trainers carelessly trying to rush through excavating the innards of rusturf tunnel in an attempt to mine out the legendary mega stones that are bound to be scattered throughout hoenn. however, their venture proves fruitless and in their stead is a buried tunnel that no longer provides quick access to rustboro. fernando grimaces at the sight as his barbaracle starts to chip away at several large boulders.

Camille was honestly a bit surprised at the sort of stuff she ended up doing sometimes. She definitely prided herself on being able to do all sorts of odd jobs, but she never really expected to be clearing cave ins anytime soon. The problem is just that she has a really hard time saying no. So here she is, along with her beloved Piloswine Chocolate, trying to clear some boulders out of the Rustboro Tunnel so people can safely travel once again.

Of course, she has heard about the whole fiasco with mega stones being found in Hoeen, she didn't really have that much interest in them. It's not like she had any pokemon who could use one, and she had a hard time deciphering how they even worked in the first place. Like did she just have to hold it and think really hard? She figured it just worked like some sort of generic anime powerup. As the progress seemed incredibly slow and tedious, the white haired girl sighed to herself. "People did all this for shiny rocks?" she said in a bit of annoyance, as she really felt like pampering herself with ice cream after this.

fernando lets the comment hang in the air, pierced by the sound of rocks splintering apart as they're ground into more manageable pieces. the clamor of his barbaracle's RAZOR SHELL repeats with a constant beat, sharp bangs resounding in the background. the repeated action means little to the pokemon, unflinching from the recoil thanks to its TOUGH CLAWS.

Camille didn't really expect to hear anyone respond to her comment, so she was visually startled. She managed to get past it pretty quickly as she continued to work and wiped a bit of sweat from her brow. Of course, she couldn't move as big of rocks as Chocolate, but how could she expect Chocolate to put in 100% if she wasn't doing the same? "Just a little bit more Chocolate, you can do this!" she said encouragingly as she made sure that his form was still good. Being a ground type, he was pretty good at this, though its not like he had much experience. She honestly wondered what sort of person was helping to clear this blockade with her, but she didn't really feel the need to pry that much yet.

[attr="class","spiral"] fernando doesn't share the same sentiments. this is more training than an effort to helping and he has no qualms with letting his pokemon do the work alone. it's incomparable to hold a human to the same physical feats of pokemon. different species with different strengths. he watches the pokemon's form as it repeats the task, making note of its movements and looking for any exuberant changes in postures that could be remedied through training. wasted motions are the easiest flaws to identify but often times the hardest to fix.

As the ice type trainer worked diligently with her Pokemon to try and clear the blockade. She started to think about how she could improve this training in the mind of her beloved Piloswine. It's not like he'd done this sort of stuff very much, but this would be a decent place to start. She started to hype him up by telling him to imagine each of these rocks as a geodude that needs to win against, though it didn't help all that much. With a lengthy sigh, she just realized that it was going to be very hard to make menial labor not seem like menial labor. "Just a little bit more..." she said in a tired tone as she hoped that she could just return to a nice cold hole to hide away in.

[attr="class","spiral"] and spot one he does. fernando catches the extra movement the barbaracle shows when it rears its arm back at the end of RAZOR SHELL. the extra distance the pokemon executes is out of habit, a common one when hacking away at something, but one that can be cut for a faster swinging speed.

"reduce your swing span. use FURY CUTTER with RAZOR SHELL."

the labor continues but soon enough fernando recognizes that they've almost cleared out all the rubble. the mass doesn't change but the piece are smaller and more manageable. others should be able to navigate the path just fine. "almost there," he calls out to the others that are there. he can hear them working although he never addresses them.
