[attr="class","spiral"] pro wrestling just reminds him of @nash , for better or for worse. there's little merit in the sport when battling requires the flexibility of any fighting style. it's more of a sport for fun and viewing entertainment than one melded in the merit of victory at any cost. that's why fernando approaches it casually, unconcerned with the end results.

one of the makeshift stadiums in sootopolis is home to a small exhibition match. a few spectators surround the ring and eagerly await the next battle. fernando allows his poliwrath to stand in one corner, set to face whoever else decides to enter the ring.

To say that Camille felt out of her element was an understatement. Being an aspiring figure skater, she was more versed in elegant performance rather than the brute strength and masculinity that came with wrestling. As one might expect, she'd normally not be caught dead in a place like this. However, a certain Sneasel had other plans. The competitive little thing immediately fell in love upon seeing an advertisement outside the arena, and soon enough managed to drag his trainer inside. "You sure you're up for this Cookie?" Camille asked with quite a bit of concern as she looked at all the bigger Pokemon getting ready to wrestle. The lanky little Pokemon had a cocky grin on his face as he nodded and started to get ready to fight.

Soon enough, the little ice type was let into the ring. On the opposite side stood a Poliwrath, which luckily wasn't that much bigger than him. She didn't manage to get a good look at the trainer who owned him, but she figured it had to be someone strong. "You got this Cookie! Remember, use your speed, and be creative!" as she already had a feeling that her beloved Sneasel wouldn't win a fight like this based on brute strength alone.

[attr="class","spiral"] the opponent may be the same height but it lacks the width and girth that poliwrath boasts with its bulky body. the pokemon sizes up the other and reads it as an agility type. the lithe frame of the pokemon is no surprise to fernando and he observes his pokemon without command. there's no need to when the poliwrath was given precise orders to engage in melee combat.

the poliwrath stares at its opponent and starts to crouch with both knees, ready to spring into action at the slightest deviation of movement. both of its arms are outstretched and ready to lock onto the opponent. the brief opening is enough for the pokemon to lock onto the other one with MIND READER. by observing the pokemon's movements poliwrath can make an accurate assessment of the pokemon's next action and where it'll be. perfect for landing a precise blow.

Watching the fight that was about to break out, Camille had to admit that she was feeling quite worried. She figured that wrestling was an entirely different beast than pokemon battling, and that Cookie wasn't quite prepared for this. Of course she had faith in him, but there was always something nagging at the back of her mind. As the fight started, the Sneasel tried to use it's speed to establish an early advantage. The pokemon could tell that he wasn't really going to be winning this matchup based on brute strength. He'd just need to out move and out think his opponent if possible. After a very brief bit of tragedy, he started to make his move. Quickly running behind the Poliwrath, he made sure that he remained unpredictable. Soon enough though, he went for a quick slash at the Pokemon's right leg to try and disorient it. Cookie's overconfidence was a bit apparent in the recklessness of his attack, but it remained to be seen if it worked.

[attr="class","spiral"] the sneasel has a clear advantage in raw speed. however, minuscule actions will always prove faster than long drawn out ones. when the pokemon runs to circle around, the poliwrath turns in place to continues to face it. as long as the pokemon can keeps its eyes on the sneasel, there will be no surprise attacks stemming from a blind spot.

when the pokemon comes in close enough to strike, the poliwrath turns to catch it. MIND READER allows poliwrath to trace the pokemon's movement and help predict how it should handle it turn flips the pokemon over and put it into SUBMISSION.
