"Maybe I shouldn't have brought this much stuff." Noelle hummed as she finally finished setting their picnic. The blanket was covered with food, to the point where she could hear the rumbling bellies of pokemon watching nearby. Perhaps doing this whole 'picnic with your new best buddy' out in the woods of all places wasn't the best idea.

"Thanks for agreeing to come out with me! I hope you enjoy everything!" She clasped her hands together, offering the scientist a brilliant smile.

Lucas felt terrible after the Kyle Jr. incident. So when Noelle brought up the idea of a picnic he rearranged his schedule to make time. He'd be killing two birds with one stone by going. Making up for what he'd done that night and doing something besides working for once that week.

"yea, you look a bit paler than usual too - are you remembering to eat?" noelle chided him with a shake of her head and soft tsk. she brought a few potato chips to her lips, downing them before returning her attention back to him. "do you want me to spend a few nights at your house? to help with work and stuff? or at least clean a bit," she offered with a quirk of her brows. she...didn't include that she enjoyed being over his house, or that she took literally any opportunity she could to go over his house. why? who knew. she enjoyed messing with his things and eating his food, more than likely.

nearby, two wild pokemon scampered close. a particularly bold sevine decided to launch itself at the professor, screaming bloody murder. "lucas no!!" noelle shouted as the grass type began to beat the man senseless, ensnaring him within its suffocating, leafy grip. fearful that it'd trigger the man's gun fetish, she tossed a pokeball at it, hoping to capture the grass type for its own safety.

"Yeah, well" he considers the question, recalling countless missed meals at that moment. "Yeah I've been eating fine." Late night shifts left the scientist so exhausted he fell asleep the moment he arrived at home. Food was hardly the main thought on his mind most nights.[break][break]
