luxray ♂: rivalry - electric terrain, discharge, charge, crunch, scary face, roar

herding wasn't common nowadays, the transportation of a large amount of pokemon typically done whilst they were conveniently contained within capsules. the risk was far lower when a large stock of pokemon were discreetly transported by vehicle, pokeballs taking up only a minimal amount of space when properly stored.

"an entire herd of pokemon," cait remarked. "and they aren't the least bit wild."

she shaded her eyes, presently mounted upon the back of her luxray. the large pokemon peering out at the large consolidation of domesticated pokemon. mudbray, ponyta, recently introduced wooloo and so on were all clumped together - traveling at a sluggish pace at the urging of their masters. cait was only here to administer aid or protection whenever needed.

"let's keep up, boy," she urged.

at the urging of his mistress, the large luxray kept up with the herd; granting the group a wide berth whilst maintaining a position at their flank.

Ken is starting to think he's getting decent at this whole being outside more often thing. But compared to the indoors the outdoors was so much better with better views, people, and pokemon, maybe he will even be an outdoorsy person sooner rather than later, but he doubts it if he keeps his job as it is, his job keeps him trapped indoor most of the time, so he rarely gets to enjoy the air flowing through his blond hair as it is right now as he flew on top of his Pidgeot enjoying the wings of freedom and the sense of freedom he never really felt while on the ground.

But he needs to focus on the task at hand and protect the herds from any harm, and he will do just that, at a low cost to him!

But while thinking to himself Hawkeye spotted a shadow moving towards the herd so with a jerk started flying towards the shadow which took its trainer by surprise as he let out a yelp, as they quickly darted towards the shadow, and suddenly they were in front of the shadow, Ken soon realized what it was, a Mightyana, and if Ken knew his PokeBiology that means there's more nearby since they are pack hunters. Ken quickly jumped off of his Pidgeot in what was supposed to be in a badass manner, but he ended up slipping and landing face-first in the dirt, which caught everybody nearby off guard as the growling mightyana just stared at him as he laid there groaning from the pain.

It was awkward for everybody there.

somehow cait and luxray had managed to come to kentaro's rescue in a timely enough fashion. the mightyena were still considering whether mauling the man was a viable option when she appeared, her pokemon baring his teeth as he bravely confronted the pack.

"get rid of them."

the pokemon's muzzle wrinkled before he opened his maw wide and released a terrible roar. the wild beasts trembled, their eyes rounding as they stared at the feline. but the potent power behind his call resulted in their inevitable retreat, the pack clearing out in a few short moments.

"let's hope they stay out of sight 'till we're done here," cait said.

she smoothly removed herself from her luxray's back, approaching the man and blinking curiously down at him.

'haven't seen this one around these parts if memory serves.'

"nothing broken or scraped, i hope?"

cait offered her hand, her smile edged with amusement.

Ken waited for the eventually feasting upon his flesh to transpire he has accepted his fate as mightyana food, Pidgeot sort of flew above him making sure none of them eat him alive, thankfully a young woman and her Luxray came to their rescue, by scaring off the pack of mightyana with a mighty roar. Ken finally lifted his head from the ground and looked up at her outstretched hand. She had a bemused smile on her face. Ken looked at it and took it and she helps him up to his feet.

His ankled ached for a moment before adjusting to the pain, and he could stand up properly and he gave the woman a thankful smile and shook his head in response to her question, "Nothing broke, just a few aches, but nothing serious." Ken confirmed his words by doing a little dance to show he was of good health and despite his ankle almost buckling at the sudden movement he didn't fall over, he was fine, everything was fine.

Hopefully.

It was awkward for everybody there.

she hummed, appearing a touch incredulous as the man performed an impromptu jig.

"if you're hurt," she said, patiently. "let me know. otherwise, we've got to keep up with the herd. they're on the move and i don't want us getting left behind."

cait returned to her luxray, her fingers running through the length of his mane. she uttered her appreciation, satisfied by his ability to scare off the mightyena. the pokemon's eyes fell shut for a moment, his expression remaining stoic.

"let's keep going, boy."

luxray rested upon his belly, allowing for his mistress to more easily settle upon his back before standing to his proper height. both the feline and his mistress peered at the flying-type and their bumbling counterpart.

"ready?"
