would have been a better idea to use the money she saved up for food or something.

instead, she went out safari pokemon hunting. even though it was getting pretty cold, she wasn't all too bothered with it. not like the cold irritated her. that, and she had this cloud of a swablu perched on top of her head, happily lazing around and curled in her wings.

she hums to herself while walking down the path, buring the lower half of her face in a scarf while holding one side of her headphones up to her ear. couldn't go walking without listening to music.

she casually walks by the voltorb, not paying too much mind to the knockoff pokeball. instead, she pays more attention to the crunching of the thin layer of snow.

she takes a moment and looks back at the footprints she's made, then immerses herself back in her music.

the snow begins to pick up. not because of the weather, but because a vupix who seemed to scuttle across the ground, rolling from bushes and branches. vanessa pulls her headphones from her head, glancing at the tiny ice fox.

looking another ways ahead, she finds a crudely made snowman on the side path. a small smile stretches across her lips. "need help there, little guy?" she asks, beginning to crouch. she casually releases her popplio, who seemed more than happy to play in the snow.

she and the two pokemon begin to properly build the snowman, then she smiles at their accomplishment. her popplio began to dance around the trophy. glancing down, she gently pets the vulpix with the same, soft grin. "good work." she says, then intending to press on with her day.

unfortunately, her popplio was more keen on trying to keep her new friend. the tiny sealion pokemon began to hug her fins and arms around the squealing vulpix, who seemed to nuzzle in response. she stares.

"... you want her to come along?" she asks, tilting her head. the popplio smiles, and the trainer sighs.

she holds up the pokeball to the vulpix. when it doesn't run away at the sight, she lightly tosses it to engulf the ice pokemon.

and with the vulpix in the ball, the snow magically begins to die down. she tilts her head to the popplio with a small smile. "guess we have a new friend. don't bully her too badly." she chuckles, continuing to walk down the path.

she runs into a chespin not too far down the path, trying his best to get into the christmas spirit by adjusting twigs and berries in his head like some makeshift wreath. amused at the sight, she slides over with her popplio and greets it. "... if you want to look fancy, i think i can help." somewhat.

she sends out two more of her pokemon; the ponyta and tiny, hat-like pokemon. in a few minutes, she's crouched in the thin layer of snow trying to decorate the grass pokemon. ponyta, using her mane and tail a fancy boa, and hat child sitting on top of his head as a hat.

although the chespin did fall over from the weight.

she got a good laugh out of that, and ended up holding the pokemon just on his head so they didn't collapse on each other. the chespin seemed content. with the tilt of her head, she asks "if you want to come with us, i think i have more decorations at home?" to the grass pokemon. thankfully, it already seemed to get along with her pokemon and was already piqued with the offer of more ways to dress up. looks like a savvy one.

and pulls out another pokeball, and gently taps it on the chespin's head.
