THE ROBOT IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK. although it bears a pleasant pixelated expression, the threat terrorizes the grounds of mauville's restarted project. it tears into metal, tosses magnemite and dedenne like foul baseballs, and dents the ground it stomps on. as it speaks in garbled strings of digital notes, the creature patrols the contained claustrophobic underground of new mauville.[break][break]

kyle rushes to the scene, racing against the three other people he's come to clear this abomination with. they have agreed that the mvp is to be treated by the least valuable player on the group, and getting the first hit in garners him a lot of points.

as soon as he reaches the room containing the robot, his sprint comes to a stop, skidding across the building's tiled flooring. as he decelerates, the pokeball on his hand is thrown up in the air. his sneakers screech, but it does little to hide kyle's call for his pokemon.

"hydreigon, earth power!"

the three-headed dragon appears from the red light from the pokeball, announcing his presence with a mighty roar. along with the deafening sound, the ground beneath the robot erupts, throwing shards and rocks and debris at the robot.

"first hit!" he calls triumphantly, seeing as he got it before the others did.

catching the dedenne. flygon, carefully, placed the orange mouse onto the surface. jumping off of the ground draconian's back, mateo would comment, "he's very enthusiastic about this." he wondered what that was all about, "more than usual actually..." he added. "flygon," head jousted toward his pokemon, "back'em up with earth power!" mateo ordered; afterwards, flygon would follow up with his own. aiding the bravado kyle and his hydreigon.

"i don't know what's up with cap'n dogman over there, but..." he'd look back toward the other two, shouting, "Adam Shepard, Noelle Lane; back us up!" he requested hastily.

"Aye aye, Capt'n!" The reply comes from the pinkette, whose a little late to the scene, but, there nonetheless. Kyle looked pretty spirited, which was a nice change of scenery - she liked the energy he had!

"Yea! I can fight too!" Slightly excited to take on such a large, and very likely dangerous, foe, it was enhanced by being able to fight by her family, and friends, sides. there was no way she was gonna be the least valuable player though! with a flash of light, her goodra is released. "stomping tantrum!" she ordered, and the gooey dragon launched itself forward to steamroll into the robot.

Adam busied himself by making sure the nearby Pokémon were alright and getting to safety. It was nice to see them all animated about doing this job but running in head first and bumming rushing it? Well if that was the plan then screw it.

”Alright Kanē! Time to get crazy! Back Goodra up with a DRAGON CLAW” The Garchomp didn’t waste any time lunging into the air at the robot his claws glowing a dark blue, surrounded by energy. The Dragon would then slash at the robot as he passed by it.

the movement on the ground is immediately noticed. kyle backs away from any debris that may hit him, observing the fight from a distance.

"hah... haha... it's doing some special move, or something."

he wasn't sure what it was trying to do, but the plan doesn't change. he's still going to just keep on hitting it, and he was certain his friends would do the same, he hopes. that's how bosses in games are generally defeated anyways - with brute strength.

his hydreigon was the one damaged the most by the robot. he thinks it's recognizing the biggest threat out of the four, but decides not to voice it out in case either mateo or noelle get too competitive.

"dragon pulse!"

the hydreigon roars, blue flames coming from the main head and towards the robot.

"woah!" the ground shook as static permeated the air. keeping his balance, mateo would shout, "don't let up, earth power again, flygon!" his order given. the bot would come to be met once more by the exact same attack. "protect hydreigon, noelle get to healin'!" he'd look back to Adam Shepard, "adam...keep it up, buddy!" he'd no opinions for the ghost dragon!

"yeah, yeah, i know!" noelle shouts back, turning towards her goodra, "fall back and use life dew!" the dragon acknowledged the call, falling back from the front lines as its form enveloped in a bright green glow. clouds formed overhead, and from them, glowing droplets rained forth. it looked holy, like a saint of some sort. the saint of mauville, perhaps?

”Jeez!” Adam wasn’t sure what to expect from the robot’s retaliation but he definitely wasn’t expecting this. Electricity in the air, his hair turning into more of a frizzy mess, Adam almost said what else could possibly happen but he didn’t’ want to be responsible for jinxing them all to hell or something.

And the plan was to keep hitting the thing, with the added twist of making sure Kyle’s Hydreigon didn’t get terminated, easy enough.

”Kanē, you alright?” The Garchomp let out a reassuring growl; he was still in this fight. ”Alright! Hit it again with the Dragon Claw!” Again the dragon lunged for the robot, striking it with his claws.

AS THEIR STRIKES FIND PURCHASE, the steel floors erupt. both sharp and blunt metals batter into their trainers and their pokemon. it's a devastating storm of electricity and steel. hairs stick straight up like robotic antennae. in the ensuing aftermath, the pokemon find themselves severely injured. some are on their last legs; however, Noelle Lane's goodra allows them to gain second winds. just barely.[break][break]

THE PREVIOUS ROUND OF ATTACKS CAUSES THE ROBOT TO GO HAYWIRE. bits and pieces of it spring out, loosened by the barrage of attacks. wires, like severed veins, spew sparks. its metal casing is loosened, allowing its angry smile to pop back and forth like a jack-in-the-box of cybergore.[break][break]

A metal flap opens from its stomach. As if giving birth (Noelle Lane, is this foreshadowing?), five smaller robots pop out. Like wind-up toys, they waddle towards you and your pokemon. Their eyes countdown from 5 seconds... 4 seconds... 3 seconds...[break][break]
