• PERSONALITY[break]

▫ With burn marks all over and the eyes that appear to be burning with a never ending flame, most are intimidated by him with his rather cold and grumpy first impression. But its not just this that throws others off a little, the man has a rather aggressive and dangerous aurora around him that shy people away and sends most the other way. Maverick can seem like he is always in a bad mood and very unapproachable at times, a flat and bored expression written across his facial features. The scarred male also has a harsh sense of humor at times, either not being funny at all or being brutally honest that hurt others feelings. He rarely ever talks to anyone unless they talk to him first, and even after you try to talk to him he will sometimes not talk at all. It is not that this human is anti-social or does not know how to communicate with others, Maverick Ryder enjoys solitude so he can think clearly and to avoid getting annoyed by others with his short temper. When one does spot Mav, you will see him taking to his pokemon.[break][break]

▫ Although the male may seem rather calm and relax, Maverick has a moody side of him that makes him almost unbearable when it hits. He gets easily irritated and impatient with people, not like waiting for others to do or say what is on their mind. He can be blunt, truthful and nothing but honest with no fear of telling you what is on his mind. Stubborn and imprudent, when his moody side hits he is often reckless in decision in or out of battle and will not tolerate or accept different opinions from others. It is hard to tell when or how bad his moody side will hit. But when it does, one minute he can be cool and calm with nothing but a good sense of humor and complete fine but say the wrong thing at the wrong time and he becomes angry and starts to yell and swear. Some believe that Maverick may have Bipolar Disorder, but nothing has been confirmed or identified as of right now. Maverick is a man who can be recalcitrant, he does not like to be bossed around like he does not have a mind of his own. Being an 'alpha dog' type of guy, he would much rather be on top than follow someone at a whim. The trainer can be rebellious and headstrong, not willing to back down from anything until he is a dead man. With that, this meat bag has a high sense of pride and does not like it when others dishonor him or disrespect him. Although Mav does give others the common respect, one must prove to him that you are worth his time if one wants to gain his trust and be treated more than just another commoner.[break][break]

▫ On the other side of Mr. Ryder, he is self-confident in his abilities to be a good trainer and became a pokemon master one day. This male has balls, standing up for what he believes in or what he thinks is right. Being that he tends to be on his own most of the time, he is very independent and will almost never ask for help unless dire. Brave and for the most part fearless, Mav will stand up to anything with a smile on his face. But when the male trainer thinks he is losing a battle, Maverick might try to cheat or something so he can win not taking losing that well. But even after Maverick has his moments, he is always polite unless you are rude to him and will apologize if he feels like he needs too. With his undying faithfulness and loyalty to his friends and family, he will always be there when you need him whether it is a simple come hang out or I need serious help. As he ages and becomes more understanding about himself and the world, he will be more rounded and sound person. The male will become more social over time, learn how to control his anger issues, and how the world works. Mr. Ryder will always treat his pokemon fairly and never abuse them or treat them badly. Overall, Maverick is a decent and modest person who is loyal to his friends and family who love him for who he is.[break][break]

▫ Other Stats. Chaotic Neutral Alignment. Needs to be respected and to look good. Wants to please self and to hide insecurities. Do behave properly and well-mannered and offer leadership positions. Don't be slow and indecisive or use physical punishment. Strengths include thrives on independence, self-motivated, difficult to discourage, comfortable with power as long as it's his own, direct and honest with opinion, reliable, strong protector, confident in own abilities, and high self-esteem. Weaknesses include generally seeks to serve self, stubborn, often comes off as arrogant, out of touch with personal feelings, insensitive at times, doesn't often ask for advice, dislikes being told what to do, hides insecurities, requires loyalty from others, and difficult to please.[break][break]

▫ Kelley Ryder gave birth to Maverick Noah Ryder in Lavender Town, Kanto. Mav's loving dad, Phil Ryder, was by his mother’s side during the whole time of labor. When Maverick was born, he had breathing problems right off the bat and was in a the breathing camber for about a month before Kelley and Phil could take him home. As a newborn, he was a fussy one. He would cry nonstop, especially in the early morning but soon the colic child settled and he became more of a peaceful child. Andrew was adventurous child as he grew up. He always wanted to be on the move, never wanting to be in the same spot for too long. Once he learned how to walk at the age of twelve months, he was everywhere in the household or backyard with some support for furniture and others. When the baby became a toddler, he was hard to handle for anyone who watched him. Maverick became more independent and getting into many things, often getting hurt or putting things in his mouth that he should not because of it. When he hit the terrible threes, he was the worse child ever. His favorite word was NO and he had the most terrible fits that any mother has ever seen. He was a wild child and later found out that he had ADHD, even though it was somewhat normal for children his age. As a preschooler, Maverick learned fast about the world around him and fell in love with pokemon like everyone else. He would often go out on his own whenever he could to try to catch one, but would often times get attacked by the pokemon. His first encounter with a pokemon was when he was attacked by a group of Growliths for hitting one of the mothers baby’s when it started to cry.[break][break]

▫ When Maverick reached the age of five, he was home alone with his mother while his father was out. Maverick was in his play room full of toys, but had a gate that blocked him from getting out of the room. His mother was in the kitchen cooking when she went outside really quick to snatch the newspaper on the driveway. At the time, his father had already left to go to work and would take him a lease any hour before he got home later that night. As Kelley come up to the front door she learned that the door was lock and could not get in. She forgot that she left a dry old towel near the stove as a sudden fire started in the kitchen a few minutes later. She really did not think of it at first until she went around the house, trying all windows and doors but nothing was open. When she got to the kitchen window, she saw the flames have already engulfed the kitchen and began to freak. She quickly ran to the house across the street to call nine-one-one. She waited for them to arrive, crying her eyes out while Phil by her side within the half hour coming home from work at record speeds. She watched them run in the house, waiting for them to rescue her child. It was only taken about three minutes to get him, but it seemed forever to her and Maverick. They come running out with Mav passed out in their arms, his body almost covered in burns all over. They ran him to the hospital to discover that he was alive and breathing, but several hurt. When the finally got Maverick cleaned up and stable, Maverick had second degree burns on most of his body except on his left arm and shoulder that was third degree burns. The doctors said that the third degree burn that was on his shoulder would be there forever, but will scar. Because of all the smoke that was in the house, he gets shorten of breath sometimes. After that traumatic event from his childhood, his life changed forever.[break][break]

▫ After his old house burned down, he and his parents moved to Vellstone City in the Sinnoh Regain. The accident has changed his life forever. He got made fun of because of his burns and they would flash fire in front of him to scare him. His burn marks started to go away slowly as he aged, except his third degree burns that started to turn from bright red to a deep dark red scar. They made fun of his breathing problems as well, especially when he would have a panic attack and could not breathe right. When he was 10, his parents got a divorce and Maverick became very reserved. He would not talk to anyone, even his own mother because they would do it yell in each other and then yell at him if he interrupted them. He spent most of his years in his room, crying his eyes out over everything that happened so far in his life. After he got made fun of so much, Maverick started to control his life on his own. He becomes aggressive in school, getting into fights very often and caused a lot trouble. He would get into fights with people who tried to make fun of him. He started to not trust anyone as he went through high school. He dropped out of high school and decided not to go to college either. He moved way from his mother when he was 20 and has been living on his own in Oreburgh City Apartment, working at a place at the Oreburgh Coal Mining. Trying to make a living at this Coal Mining place and worked there for three years. His interest in pokemon became clear as the watched trainers go back. Maverick started to study them so he could finally become a normal person instead of just working in the mine. He was twenty three and became a pokemon trainer, traveled around the world for a few years to learn as much as he could. He finally deciding to move to a region called hoenn with a few of his beloved pokemon.[break]
