Restoration efforts along the Jagged Pass were well underway, the passing devastation of the avalanche almost unrecognizable even now, just a week after the incident. Toppled trees and the general flow of the melt were all that was left to see of the disaster, if you didn't count the bustling of heavy machinery around the old lodge.

Place had to be examined and re-certified before they could start taking guests again. A pity then that he couldn't stay for a moment's respite, forced to delve deeper into the pass with nothing but his camping gear and Howitzer accompanying him.

"C'mon girl, stop messing around and let's go."

She'd been rubbing her scent against the trees, dashing through the snow and otherwise kicking up a ruckus as her extreme speed allowed her to excitedly rush around the pass unimpeded.

While passing through the area he came across an unusual pokemon that he couldn't quite identify from a glance. But it was the only thing he'd managed to kick up while passing through the area, and it seemed such a curious thing to leave unexplored. When faced with the question of whether or not to catch it, he asked himself:

Why not?

And so it was with relative ease that he was able to capture the pokemon that had strayed across him, putting up next to no resistance as he fished through his pockets for a spare pokeball, bashing the poor thing in its face with a well aimed toss.

The ball wriggled around between drawn out pauses, enough so that Adrian wondered if it would break free, and yet it remained in this struggle with intermittent pauses for the span of minutes as he patiently awaited the success of its capture.
