Ruby is admittedly quite stunned to see a Bruxish so far from shore. Not only has she never seen one before, and its appearance is a bit mildly offputting, Ruby can recognize psychic energy when she sees it. If it wasn't for her poor berry bushes health, she might have simply sat back and watched whatever they got up to. With Darling at her side, and her trusted Tropius flying overhead, Ruby carefully made her way into the garden.

She was in for a shock, however, as the fish was apparently quite aggressive. It suddenly lashed out at her, biting down hard in front of her with a strange glint to their jaw. Falling down to the ground to get away from the angry fish, Darling quickly stood in front of Ruby with a determined look on their face. Intent on protecting their trainer, Darling let out a charming cry, a Disarming Voice that pierced away at the Bruxish's mind and hurt the offending fish's emotions.

The Bruxish immediately backed off, seemingly stunned and unsure what to do about the sudden attack. Ruby blinked from her position on the ground, slowly standing up to her feet and speaking softly. "... How did you get here? If you come with me, I'll make sure you get the ocean someday."

The Bruxish didn't seem to respond vocally, but they seemed to settle down long enough for Ruby to chuck a Pokeball at it. Perhaps she'd have Grace use telepathy to tell Tropius next time, to keep an eye out for all offenders. From land, sky... and now sea, apparently.

Gardening wasn't always on her highest list of priorities, but sometimes the berries were just too important to a dish she was planning on making. Regardless, it was indeed rather relaxing. Just little enough physical activity that she could actually do, paired with the beautiful sights of nature blooming. Of course, she was here at night. The poor girl would absolutely fry up during the day with her extremely sensitive skin, this was the best she could do.

Perhaps it was a good thing she was here at night, however, as a strange sight began to unfold. A haunter with a very eager tongue began floating around and attempting to lick a lot of the berries. Celeste couldn't help but chuckle to herself, simply smiling as the rather endearing nature of the ghost-types actions.

"You know," She spoke out. "If you come with me, you'll have a lot more interesting and tasty things to lick than just wild berries." That seemed to catch their attention, who turned and locked eyes with her. Taking that as a yes, Celeste wasted no time in tossing a Pokeball straight at the Haunter, admittedly a bit eager to finally add one to her team.

Celeste had just managed to plant those berries too. And look at this... bird. This squawking, choking bird came screaming in and spraying water all over the place. Of course, she was going to help the pokemon, but she was going to feel angry about it soaking everything first. Not to mention, his flapping wings and frantic movements to try and dislodge the... was that a Pikachu in its throat? God, they really should learn to pick better targets.

With a sigh, Celeste summoned Jaspers from his Pokeball. The cat stretched out his limbs, blinking up at Celeste, over at the frantic Cramorant, only to nod his head and suddenly charge forwards. With a sudden leap forwards and an expertly trained eye for yanking items out of pockets unnoticed, Jasper's used Covet and practically stole the pokemon right out of its mouth, who promptly dashed away as fast as it could.

As soon as it was no longer choking, it coughed up a bit more water before seeming to settle down a bit. With a curious expression, Celeste simply rolled her eyes and tossed a Pokeball over at it. Perhaps it would calm down in a bit, and she could always use a bird pokemon on her team. That is, despite a tendency to swallow things too big for it, it seems.

Gardening was a nice hobby to spend the day relaxing. It was a good time to just zone out. Digging her hands into the ground, planting seeds and watering them. Berries grew rather quickly, and watching their growth over time was such a wonderful experience. Realizing that you made that, you were responsible for that. That beautiful berry was growing solely because of your efforts, and she was quite proud of her latest plants.

A Passho Berry, a remarkable specimen. It was so rare, and yet it was taking so long to grow. She was filled with anxious anticipation, awaiting the day it was fully grown. However, her entire work was about to be put into jeopardy because of a simple Gluttonous Pokemon. The Lickitung was clearly staring at Ruby, waiting for her to step out of the way and let them at the berry. Ruby refused, staring it down. Any other berry, fine. But not this one.

Darling stood by at the ready, suddenly calling out a Disarming Cry. The Lickitung wasn't immediately aggressive, but hearing the cry alone seemed to weaken its resolve. Likely not wanting a conflict, but still hungry, it seemed to resort to begging. It sat back, eyes wide with a very obvious desperate look on its face. Ruby simply sighed, rolling her eyes. Tossing a Pokeball, she'd make sure the boy got some food eventually, but for now, this berry was safe.
