Adrian finds himself in the depths of the safari once more, finding himself pleasantly surprised with the reception he gets at the safari warden's office. Now that he's no longer a first time visitor, they've expanded his safari game, allowing him an additional pokeball. Quite the gesture on their part.

Wasting no time he quickly disembarks from the safari building, heading into the barrens of the largest open range of the safari, already detecting trails and tracks of several distinct pokemon.

It was a harrowing new year to be certain, though Adrian is loathe to dwell on it, instead putting himself into his task and hunting for pokemon.

Adrian has a vested interest in a strange bird pokemon he comes across. Shortly after coming across it he becomes entranced by its singsong chirping tune, mystified by its mysterious origin. It might even be one of the imported Galarian species, so he's quick to prepare a safari ball.

It sails for the rookidee in a direct line, thrown forcefully as the bird seems to hop around on its feet erratically, demonstrating a skittish temperament. It shrieks when the pokeball flies at it, flailing in a storm of feathers as it becomes encapsulated in the device. One. Two. Three. Click!

It hadn't dawned on him yet, but it's actually a pre-evolution to the Corviknight he already owns. Who would've thought, considering just how different Corviknight and Rookidee really were.

Definitely not Adrian, that's who.

With the bird safely tucked away, Adrian resumes his walk through the safari. In the following moments he comes across a riolu silently meditating under a tree, although its ear lifts up curiously at the sound of his footsteps, an eyelid peeling back that it might glean the nature of its company. It reacts visibly, quite alarmed by him.

Before he can so much as prepare a pokeball, it is dashing deeper into the safari, eluding Adrian.

Adrian couldn't help but find himself stricken by the familiar figure of a growlithe, and although he was short on words, there was a singular impulse that he could not deny. A safari ball was thrown.

He wouldn't dwell on it beyond that, not now. There was much and more left to be seen on this safari, and he hardly wanted to squander his time on this outing to feel sentimental. So he continued.

tl;dr Capturing even though it kinda doodie because #OnATimer. Next spawn please.

It seemed cruel that he should come across a wooloo shortly after the growlithe, and Adrian quickly realized he might have stolen its guardian shepherd as he stared into what seemed like dead eyes, beady with indifference. It lacked motivation to do more than graze and stare, or so it seemed.

Its stare honestly gave him the creeps, so Adrian quickly passed up the beast, giving it a wide breadth as he passed around and delved deeper into the safari grounds. Hopefully the warden didn't call him soon, though time had surely been flying.

tl;dr Skipping to next spawn if I'm not too late.

Clambering among the trees on low hanging branches, a treecko could be seen searching for berries, or perhaps a favored tree star. As Adrian came padding past, he hadn't noticed it blended in with its natural camouflage, but the startled treecko made a strange reptilian exclamation that caused him to freeze as his eyes shot upward.

It was almost equally unsettling then to be looking at what appeared to be nothing but dense foliage, only to suddenly see the slit eyes of some creature veiled in the treetop, too close for comfort.

Their eyes locked for a time while Adrian slowly crept a hand towards his belt, snatching a pokeball. The treecko didn't move, but Adrian could see its ribs swelling with every painstaking breath it took. It was just as afraid as him, it seemed.

As he cocked his arm back to toss the pokeball, the treecko's slit eyes narrowed, but it remained frozen as a deer in the headlights. And then it was caught. Adrian breathed a heavy sigh. I thought for sure it was going to jump me, he thought.

While he roamed the sparse expanse of the safari game land's prairies, he came across something of a swine, a cute little thing that oinked about and otherwise minded its business. Adrian contemplated capturing it, but decided against it on a whim. He wasn't much for pigs, besides...

...Some of his other pokemon might try eating the poor thing. He didn't see it defending itself. The poor beast would sooner cook itself up, winding up as barbecue for his other, more vicious pokemon.

The next pokemon Adrian encountered couldn't have shown up at a better time. Just as it broke through the bushes, the warden had caught up with Adrian and was set on him retiring. But even they were willing to wait just a few more moments as Adrian vigorously flailed and pointed at the pokemon right in front of them, a Poochyena.

Winding back his arm and following up with an embellished pitcher's stance, Adrian sent the ball hurtling towards the poor pokemon, giving it a nasty welt on its head before it was abducted in a surge of crimson light. A few wobbles later, and...

...the Poochyena was good as his!

And with that he concluded this outing in the safari, the warden letting slip that it was due to a scheduled change in stock that they needed to clear the game lands of trainers while they rounded up the stragglers and placed in a new set of pokemon species. He'd have to stop by again.

tl;dr Capturing (4/4) and exiting.
