the rolling grass of the safari zone was something that kazimir always loved. what he also loved was the new perks that came with owning a gym badge, mainly that the warden gave him some extra balls to go out and catch pokemon with. sure it wasn't a big surplus of them but those few were going to make all the difference, kazi knew it deep down inside. so as he waded through the tall grass he kept his eyes peeled for a certain pokemon that had been spotted around here. a little brown fox that he fell madly in love with once he saw its cute little face.

"no no no get away these are not all for you!" the woobat sure was persistent in wanting the treats kazimir brought for himself and whatever pokemon he captured in here. sure he had plenty for all the ones he would encounter but someone was being kind of greedy about them. "c'mon i can't give them all to you!" the bat pokemon swooped down only to meet with dirt as kazimir jumped over where it was going to land and sprinted at full speed. he couldn't let something like this little a-hole ruin his trip, no in a million years.

he knew he didn't really have a support pokemon on the team so having one could really help. ok there was buttermilk but he was sort of training the alcrieme to be battle support for the most part. "so um...would you like to? you'd really be helping a lot of people and pokemon if ya joined the pokenger's squad y'know." the chansey had to think for a moment at which kazimir was starting to wonder if he was crazy for waiting on a pokemon's acceptance to his team when he could have, you know. battled it like normally. but the chansey was quick on its agreement to come and help, so the two shook hands with one another and were off.

it was no eevee that was for sure but kazimir couldn't help but just be completely smitten with the little apple. it looked at him with his little beady eyes and kazimir glanced between his safari ball and it. "ok...i'll bring you along. but never forget, you are gonna probably be our mascot. or like...the water boy. do you understand?" the applin didn't really, it just jumped up with a chirp of happiness of having someone to just simply talk to. so kazimir let the ball fall onto its head and watched it disappear into it.

it wasn't a brown tail.

it was a silver tail.

that was oh so much better. the little fox like creature sat there drinking form the watering hole while kazimir looked on from the tall grass. he licked his lips. his mind was in full predator mode, his prey was right there in front of him and he wasn't going to let it get away. his fingers gripped the pokeball, the sound of skin rubbing against metal reached his ears, as well as the eevee's ears. when he saw them twitch kazimir chucked the ball with all of his might. the eevee could only look in his direction before getting a face full of pokeball.

that was what he would call what he and stormy had if he had to put a label on it. he looked down at the budew and knew that this was sort of the same thing. the little plant had been following him for a while now and he didn't have the heart to shoo it away. how could he? it was just so adorable! he didn't really see himself as a cat person. or maybe he did. he was kind of wishing for a pyroar or an army of incineroars. plus he's heard rumors of an electric cat pokemon lost to time. oh well, maybe someday would prove that he was secretly a cat person. today was not that day and that meowstic would not be joining him today. oh well.

just the way it wiggled was too much for kazimir. he had to have the creature! just watching it chew on a leaf was enough to leave the man completely mesmerized by it. also it was eating a big leaf in a small amount of time. that thing was hungry. and kaz was hungry for a new partner on his team.
