His Glaceon hails from the same Safari Zone and finds an odd sense of nostalgia from being in the same field. It beams with an eager growl before changing the landscape into something more fitting with HAIL.

Ice starts to buffet everyone involved and the Eevee prove territorial. It's TAKE DOWN finds no purchase against the evolution's BARRIER and ends up frozen in a point blank BLIZZARD.

Fernando claims the Pokemon for his own before the frostbite does.

[attr="class","spiral"] The next Pokemon he comes across is one of the new ones from Galar. Fernando isn't familiar with it either but he recognizes it from the list of new Pokemon expected to be in the region. At least it looks like one of the ones he saw listed. Between this and other duties, keeping up with something like new Pokemon breeds have been the least of his concerns. Before Hoenn became a shit show, this would've been his top priority but with the advent of various events, he's shifted from always being prepared to being just prepared enough.

"Battle routine set."

He commands his Weavile to refer to standard battling techniques because neither of them know what to expect. The only thing they know is victory and Fernando wants the threshold to be as large as possible. A margin of error is set to 2% and he'll accept no less — not without ridiculing his Pokemon in the same way it shames those that it finds inferior.

"Execute."

Snom has only so many means in close combat and once the distance is closed all it can do is be a STRUGGLE BUG before the Weavile carves it up with its pristine talons.

That adds another one to the mix.

[attr="class","spiral"] The next Pokemon is even odder than the last. It appears to be some kind of living Leppa berry. The green skin is an odd coloration for some kind of fruit but it makes sense for a plant. Fernando leers back at the two sprouting eyes and deems to leave the Pokemon alone. Grass types, while useful, run against the grain of what he keeps on him.

Until is DRAGON PULSES.

Fernando decides that judging a book by its cover is too shallow. The fact that it can use a ranged dragon move is enough to garner his interest and he directs his Weavile to handle this one as well. To no surprise, ICE SHARD proves extremely effect and with it ends the Pokemon's livelihood as a wild Pokemon.

[attr="class","spiral"] The next Pokemon he comes across is much like the political situation in Hoenn.

Fernando doesn't have time for this shit.

[attr="class","spiral"] Nor does he have time for this. The Budew is leaking and the water it spreads prove insignificant. Fernando continues on.

[attr="class","spiral"] Another Eevee and another chance to increase tonight's haul. "Stand down." He stops his Weavile short of moving in ahead of time and places the responsibility back on his Glaceon. As the evolution of his intended prey, it understands the opponent better fundamentally and just how much punishment it can take.

A mouthful of BLIZZARD renders the Pokemon frozen and in perfect capture condition. Left in a solid block of ice, resistance is futile. With this, Fernando has run out of safari balls and will need to return to the front counter for another set.
