his answer comes from @devon before she disappears into a stairwell. he follows, expecting something better than what greets him. battle ensues, numerous league members combating a child and struggling. @yiannis' voice rises above the rest, a garchomp appearing by his command to bring the world around them back into order through its controlled chaos within the sandstorm.

zeke wastes no more time -- he's done enough of that today. a quick flick of the wrist summons his cryogonal, its frosty figure a means of zeke's introduction to the battle. from the slit of its mouth, selzius summons an ice beam for the beedrill.

ian screams again, more anger in his voice than before. it booms over the PA system, the action meant to simultaneously bring everyone up to speed. dahlia goode's absence from the third floor is news, but he makes no effort to leave now. it seems implied that dahlia is with another league member; perhaps she's safer there than she would be with zeke.

A Tri-Attack flares into the sky, and she hears the distant boom of each element, a signal for distress Tch. It doesn't seem like Dahlia is here, but there are still officials to save. Wrapped in a string shot, there's little time to spare before they're gone.

The RAZOR WIND that had been building has grown, air whipping dangerously within the room. Fortunately, with a Stone Edge protecting the officials, Emma has a chance to disarm the rocket. Her Talonflame guides the storm, sending a flurry of gusts towards the Beedrill after Gigalith attempts a smack down on it. It'll have to work to avoid a series of RAZOR WINDS, and when its wings burst into flames, she figures that a FLAME CHARGE would at least hit. Her Talonflame may be getting tired from such strong moves given the recoil, but it won't compare to the pain these rockets will feel later.

The rocket seems to have been subdued, but they haven't dealt with the Porygon-Z yet. Drifblim appears before the rocket's pokemon, wrapping its tendrils in a tight CONSTRICT. Quickly, Emma switches her Electivire with her Pangoro, who boasts more mobility as opposed to her Electivire. With a knife, she starts cutting through its silken threads, releasing the officials from their tomb.

the ZAP CANNON is harmless. the current brushes up against cloth and fizzles into nothingness. whatever raw blunt force the attack has is wasted on mimikyu's DISGUISE. the decorative head piece slumps with a defeated recession but the devil inside remains okay, if not a little stiff. paralysis sets in but tiamat doesn't have the time to capitalize. rather than commit to a botched assassination attempt, the mimikyu melts into the ground, disappearing with SHADOW SNEAK. a high pitch giggle pierces the hallway as it dissipates, a reminder that its watching. waiting.

fernando's attention is divided two fold-- rockets swarm in droves and the looming threat above. the latter requires the utmost attention since the grunts below are easy pickings with the right move. "block," is the command. a rare circumstance for a man who pride himself on adaptability. his pokemon are supposed to be autonomous but even they don't have an answer for everything. a carpet bombing salamence? not something he's encountered, or at least one willing to sacrifice its body.

bronzong illuminates with an arcane light. the occult binds it to the salamence that plummets. it'll find itself stopped, both spiritually and physically. the psychic BLOCK prevents it from leaving a set area. it belongs in the sky and bronzong will keep it there. it can only travel so far before the metaphysical laws of the world reel it with an invisible tether. bronzong's body is the physical manifest, using its body to BLOCK it from proceeding. the mystical arts PROTECTS it from the supernatural aspect of salamence's ZEN HEADBUTT. the robust stainless steel PROTECTS it from the impact of the dragon's weight and velocity. what comes next is punishment, retribution that's long due from the FUTURE SIGHT laid out before. an unseen force rends the pokemon from the side, a percussive blast cutting through scale and skin alike. if only salamence could see it coming. too bad it can't. that's a gift for the psychic.

down below seems worse on paper but in practice comes out as a clear victory. they can swarm, they can gang up, but the closer they get the more vulnerable they become. no one takes heed when fernando ditches his pokemon in an all out sprint. they expect cowardice, fear of their sheer numbers. how wrong they are. only when the glalie lets out an audible inhale do they realize the extent of their mistake. their numerous attempts to batter the pokemon through its frozen shell, to break apart the rock hard constitution that PROTECTS the pokemon's core, comes to a frigid end. nothing hurts more than the SHEER COLD. it happens in an instant. all heat is absorbed and converted, inversed, used to turn everything in the vicinity into raw ice. it's a pale comparison to the glacier fernando will put NIKOLAI PETROV in-- but for a single pokemon, it's not bad. that's the problem with mobbing up too close, the area of effect of fernando's most lethal attack.

mimiyuki surfaces not too long after. from a distance, it watches @names get to work. watching the trainer get her hands dirty by tying them up herself, along with her beedrill, it allows the pokemon to observe. in comes @yiannis , garchomp and all in a flash of unchecked fury. the SAND TOMB is put into place and @names is trapped. it'll be her grave. another ghost comes out and threatens to CONSTRICT the pair, porygon-z as the primary target and @names by proxy of proximity. wearing a pokemon as an accessory may be cool, effective even - the ZAP-CANNON from earlier is not forgotten - but bundling the two of them together makes them an easy target.

it arrives, patient, conniving. from behind, mimikyu threatens another attempt at @names 's life. a hand lurches forward, ready to strangle, to mangle, to snap that precious little neck in half. but the attack never connects. mimikyu remembers the moment from before. it hesitates, appearing frozen. paralysis? possibly. but in less than a blink it stutters from existence, emerging from below, half protruding from the ground using its ethereal, phantom composition. it's a dirty trick - an underhanded dark attack! a FEINT ATTACK that threatens to wallop the child with a punishing uppercut. one straight to the jaw, ready to dislocate and knock both the wind and consciousness from her still developing body.

dahlia goode gets teleported to the ground floor only to be met by an impending SELF-DESTRUCT, yikes! she calls out her reuniclus to REFLECT, hoping to lessen the damage.
Lucas LeBlanc's salamence is a literal tank as it dives head first from heights, looking to use FLY and ZEN HEADBUTT to damage the league hq as much as possible!
@names sees dahlia goode's TELEPORT (secret latias?) and radios it in to all rocket forces. she uses TRI-ATTACK as a signal flare and destroys walls with PIN MISSILE. she also starts tying up league officials with STRING SHOT.
@yiannis's garchomp is hit by SUPERPOWER but retaliates with DRAGON RUSH. gigalith uses SMACK DOWN on @names's beedrill and also uses STONE EDGE to create a barrier to protect the officials. garchomp glides over (like a jet) to @names and attempts to trap her with SAND TOMB. threatens the entire league over radio wow!
marie jules sends out xatu to TELEPORT away from @yiannis' ariados. struggles with life in general tbh.
@devon's TAILWIND is still in effect as her speedy talonflame uses RAZOR WIND and FLAME CHARGE at @names's beedrill. her drifblim attempts to use CONSTRICT against @names's porygon-z. after, she switches electivire with pangoro, defending the third floor while cutting through the string shot bindings on the official.@

@names: tiamat is constricted by the SAND TOMB and she finds herself in a sticky situation; however, her call for reinforcements is heard. from the hole in the ceiling, a hawlucha glides in before a black cord grapples downward. a masked man, clad in all black, but with the rocket insignia prominently displayed, begins to slide down the cord cleanly. he pushes against a nearby pillar to start a swing.[break][break]

the hawlucha ALLY SWITCHES with tiamat, and suddenly, tiamat finds herself falling the air, having switched positions with the bird. the rocket member gains enough momentum for a wider swing, catching the girl in his arms. "i got you."[break][break]

the hawlucha is CONSTRICTED, his SPEED LOWERING, but a SUBSTITUTE allows the hawlucha to escape the bind and the subsequent FEINT ATTACK. a defiant cry alerts @devon and FERNANDO SILPH to the development. by this time, tiamat and the rocket would have reached the ground.
FERNANDO SILPH: your glalie's sheer cold is effective, immediately freezing six of the rocket grunts in place; however, one grunt's mr. mime produces a WIDE GUARD to shield itself and the remaining four grunts. one of the grunts sends out a volcarona, who promptly FIERY DANCES to warm his surviving team before sending a HEAT WAVE toward the glalie.
dahlia goode: your reuniclus realizes the REFLECT may not be enough. in a split-decision, the reuniclus wraps its gelatinous body around the commissioner. the explosion goes off, and sends her flying into a nearby wall. only one survives the collision. her reuniclus is a smeared mess of jello chunks.

the EXPLOSION rocks the headquarters. those on the ground floor are thrown in various directions if they did not prepare adequately for the desperate attack. on the ground floor, the commissioner is dazed and in shock; the death of her pokémon and her injured body scream vulnerability.[break][break]

tiamat almost got trapped by sand tomb. tiamat almost gets her arm constricted, tiamat almost gets fucked.[break][break]

there was a visceral temptation to laugh her lungs out as she got bailed out of that scenario, literally carried in the arms of a gigachad, but the sight of her beedrill getting fucked up and the alert of her gurdurr returning to it's pokeball ended that. beedrill and gurdurr have fainted and returned, so now, she was strapped for resources.[break][break]
luckily, she only needed two certain ones, at this point.[break][break]

as she got onto her feet on the roof, her injured porygon-z dove back into the crossfire through the hole above the tied up officials, it's body glowing with the rejuvenation of recover. and then, within that room, gravity flipped, and everything started... floating.[break][break]
it was something akin to space, but with more control for those who had able limbs. the tingle of electrons brushed past skin and desks, tables, books, even the sand from the sand tomb floated airily.[break][break]
tiamat didn't have time to waste. not really. she couldn't afford to fuck up again, she got lucky. releasing her sigilyph, she signaled the psychic-type to follow suit, and the runic beast flew into the hole, as it's partner did.[break][break]
the sigilyph attempted to use psychic on any levitating, helpless tied-up officials it could find, telekinetically yanking them into the sky above the third floor at brutal velocities. if tiamat was successful, disrupting the psychic would likely kill the officials in the fall. [break][break]
tiamat kept her hand on the rappel, slightly floating without too much trouble. she knew how to fly, after all; faith, trust, and rocket dust. in any case...[break][break]

The Rockets are more organized than they are. That pisses Ian off. He covers his mouth with his sleeve.

"Smack Down on that Porygon" Ian can't tell the difference between the three versions, and he doesn't care. He has no more patience. This is the end of paradise. From the depths of the sandstorm, he can see a six-legged Pokemon. She's back from her mission. Ian smiles with his mouth closed. "Arachne, use Spider Web to break the fall! Atlas, knock that Siglyph out of the air!" Nobody is allowed aerial superiority while he stays grounded. That's just the law of the land.

The Gigalith concentrates on shooting the stones as the Ariados starts weaving her safety web. Ian points to the hole in the roof. "Hera! Ground her with Dragon Rage!" The Garchomp leaps into the sky once again and spews her breath at the Rocket, hotter than fire.

• Ian is not floating because he's not wearing nearly enough metal for that.

The plan she had thought up in the short amount of time was perfect, no notches, no split ends, no separating paths, it was perfect, and as she got ready to set it into action, and unseen force knocked her away, pushing her against the wall she previous crouched near.

Where she was positioned, she could not adequately see the claydol set itself up to self destruct, and everything going on didn’t help her sense it either.

Tears fell from her eyes as she rubbed her head, blood staining a portion of her fingers when she dared to look at them. But there was no time to worry about pain, her target was in sight, and she had an opportunity to act. Her previous plan had to go out the window, and the pokemon that was part of it was out cold. So, returning the sylveon, she would leave the xatu out, its body scratched up here and there as it gave her a 1000 yard stare. It was good to go.

Pushing off the wall, leaving a mark of blood on it as well as the ground, she would rush to the commissioners side, quickly grabbing hold of one of the older woman’s shoulders.

“Miss Goode!” She’d shout as tears fell from her eyes. “We have to get you out of here, let’s go!”

She put on a brave face even with the tears falling as she looked around, trying to find anywhere they could escape. Then, lo and behold, one of the many holes that had been made in the building was on the ground floor. So, she would quickly grab hold of the commissioners arm, doing her best to drag the woman with her.

“There’s sure to be league outside that can help us, we just need to make it there!”

mimikyu would've TAUNTED the invasive hawlucha. mimikyu would've reversed the ALLY SWITCH with a COPYCAT of its own. mimikyu would've done a lot of things but the paralysis from earlier comes back with a vicious sting. every fiber of the ghost pokemon's body urges it to move, to react, but it cannot. that's the only reason they're allowed to transgress on the rooftop.

at the very least, the PSYCHIC never succeeds at what it wants. it's a smart move but not when faced against the league's superior numbers. @yiannis is not someone to be ignored. he will bring down a fury that the others lack. the less they do, the less organized they become, the more terrifying the fury. power does not dissipate. it may transfer, a redox reaction of competence and not, but it never truly leaves the system.

mimikyu is just another tool in the grand scheme of things. by the time it can react with a COPYCAT of PSYCHIC, the move is already employed. those bound will find that neither PSYCHIC has any power of them, too busy in their power struggle to overwhelm the other. the longer that the sigilyph tries to contest the more defenseless it becomes. having to concentrate against another PSYCHIC will make it an easy target for the SMACK DOWN gigalith aims to land on its candy ass. should it give up, mimikyu's PSYCHIC will guide them into the safety of @yiannis 's net, safe and sound.

between all this action is the opportunity that bronzong foresaw. the FUTURE SIGHT sets in now that @names is alone. her porygon-z is in the thick of things between its RECOVER and MAGNET RISE and her sigilyph has to contest not just mimikyu's PSYCHIC but gigalith's SMACK DOWN as well. this leaves the trainer alone and exposed, dangling from the flimsy that can easily be cut by the sheer power of a pokemon's attack. hopefully, like she called out, the rocket's are keeping a visual on her. it won't help. the FUTURE SIGHT is invisible by nature, a tremendous energy seething into existence and ready to wallop the poor girl and tear her from the very rope she clung from. at the very least, the rope itself would be left rocking wildly, becoming turbulent by the force of the attack, if not outright cut.

out of the frostbite and into the firestorm. fernando's tossed around by the EXPLOSION, caught off guard by the pokemon's sudden appearance. there's no way he could've known, not in the midst of such a hectic multi fronted battle. only luck carries him through, being at the right place at the right time. from outside the main area and into the building, he misses the brunt of the attack and is blown away from the epicenter of the blast. it hurts, yes, but being kicked around isn't anything new. a little torn skin and bleeding doesn't mean anything when his life is on the line. instead, his priority is addressing the sound of @yiannis 's alarming exclamation over the PA system. fuck.

wait. there she is. he can make out her figure, or at least he thinks its her, slathered in goo. there's another but he considers her another victim in all of this. he's not too close but quickly approaching. "dahlia?!"

glalie can take care of itself. the sight of volcarona is not a welcome one but the time it takes to prep with a FIERY DANCE is all the pokemon needs to unload a BLIZZARD. chilled air erupts from the pokemon's maw. it uses the momentum of expelling a terrible howl of wind and snowballs to backtrack, looking to flee from the battlefield. from a distance, with numbers, glalie will fall victim from a multi-prong assault. it knows the tactic well, usually a participant in one of fernando's artillery strikes. that's why the pokemon tries to retreat, suffering the HEAT WAVE that comes and rips through the BLIZZARD. those caught in the crossfire may find themselves frozen or singed, but glalie's intent was to only prolong the inevitable. the buffer zone that BLIZZARD affords it weakens the HEAT WAVE that has to tear across it, still inflicting its mark and roasting the outter shell of the ice type pokemon. with that, it retreats back into the main building, following the same path fernando took prior to the SHEER COLD.

dahlia doesn't process the loss of her friend. instead, she picks up the pieces. the green chunks wobble limply in her bloodied hands. she's caked in white powder. skin pale with concrete dust, dahlia's finger repeatedly clicks the pokéball's recall button to no avail.

her shoulder is gripped, and the voice echoes as if it were in a descending tunnel. an insidious ringing pierces through everything that she hears, but she hears her. her would-be saviour.

"out of here. right." the commissioner stumbles to her feet, letting go of her reuniclus. she's shaken, but calm. the tears will come later. a frown graces her features, the tears wetting marie jules's cheeks summoning a well of empathy from her chest. "you'll be okay. we'll get out of this, alright?"

The explosion hurt him as much as it did any other, shielded by the Reflect while standing right beside Dahlia, Teddy's Cofagrigus had jumped in front of him, utilizing protect to adhere most of the past away from its master. Salamence moved towards Gardevoir to shield her utilizing the same move. Dahlia on the other hand, was not so fortunate, her Reuniclus was blasted into smithereens as the Reflect failed to save its master. Perhaps Teddy could have reacted in time to help her as well, but he didn't. Oh well.

Marie's plan would have probably passed, were it not for the fact that Teddy's payroll now depended on Dahlia's success from whoever had spoken on the loudspeeaker. He had no clue how that man knew that the Gardevoir was not an enemy's Psychic Pokemon, but he was lucky it was a member of the League's. It would have been foolish to assume she was safe under any circumstances.

Regardless, now was the time to tend to Dahlia's wounds, Teddy moved to Dahlia's location. Her injured body was no place to be in this location. Having no idea that Marie was a member of Team Rocket, he decided to assist her in moving Dahlia. "Wait up." Teddy spoke towards Marie, as his team moved towards her, his Gardevoir shifted up to Dahlia's jelly covered body, "Gardevoir, use Wish." A stored light echoing from Gardevoir's hands would flood the three of them, healing them briefly of their injuries, though not enough to say that they were completely healed as of yet. "Let's go." He spoke to Marie. "Lead the way."

The officials have started floating because of the rocket's Sigilyph; fortunately, there's a web and another psychic to catch their fall. A TAUNT from her Pangoro should make up for the Mimikyu's unfortunate paralysis, followed up by Talonflame's BRAVE BIRD on the Hawlucha. ROOST should heal it of it's fatigue after.

Her Drifblim has floated to position; and should @names fall, its tentacles are ready to ensnare her in a CONSTRICT. Not enough to kill, but surely enough to disable.

TAILWIND is in effect (4/4)

talonflame uses BRAVE BIRD at hawlucha

heals itself using ROOST
speed enhanced by tailwind + flame charge

the beedrill falls and disappears into a flash of light, his child trainer recalling him. her body rappels upward; she is intent on leaving. he is intent on stopping her.

a hand flicks upward, calling forth the altaria that floats behind him. tamara carries enough strength to pick up her trainer, talons clutching into his shirt hard enough to break skin. they thrust toward @names on the roof to reach her playing field until gravity gives out and their momentum carries them out of the girl's exit in the sky. magnet rise is limited to the room below him, and his knees hit the concrete roof hard before falling to his side. from the hole in the roof, he recalls his croconaw and cryogonal down below.

"what's even the point of taking them? the city's already in fucking ruin!" his voice roars, but the winds are calmer up here than below as the tailwind rages through the HQ halls. sirens sound in the backroom, seemingly coming from everywhere amidst the chaos. flames spit from buildings on the horizon, others crumble. he has not time to take it in as he yells across to the rocket. the shout is frustrated and exasperated as he looks on to the girl. he summons zurich, his electabuzz.

with a quiet thud, the electabuzz makes his presence known. "thunder wave on her!" a paralytic netting forms in between his fingers before a sweeping motion sets the thunder wave off in the direction of @names .

- flies out onto the roof through the hole @names made right via altaria just as the magnet rise sets in
- recalls croconaw and cryogonal, summons electabuzz.
- electabuzz uses thunder wave on @names herself

@names's gurdurr and beedrill faint. tiamat lands on the roof, and her porygon-z uses RECOVER before using MAGNET RISE to attempt to float everything in the room. her sigilyph is sent afterward, who uses PSYCHIC to pull the tied-up officials, and she alerts rocket about her actions.
@yiannis doesn't float; he's not wearing enough metal. gigalith uses SMACK DOWN on both sigilyph and porygon-z while ariados creates a SPIDER WEB as a safety net. garchomp chases @names down with a DRAGON RAGE
marie jules is knocked against the wall, has a slight concussion. her sylveon is knocked out and is returned. xatu is still out to help as marie jules assists dahlia goode out of the hq.
FERNANDO SILPH's mimikyu counters sigilyph's PSYCHIC with COPYCAT, attempting to make sigilpyh an easy target/save the officials. FUTURE SIGHT attempts to strike @names and throw her off the rope or cut it. FERNANDO SILPH runs toward dahlia goode, marie jules and @thermopylae.[break][break]

As the lights cut, the xatu would emerge from its hiding place, swooping in and silently performing air slash, slicing into Marie’s arm to release her hold on the commissioner as it grabbed her, quickly using teleport to completely remove her from the area.

Deep cuts sawed through the flesh of her arm, the razor sharp wind nearly taking the hand that grasped onto dahlia clean off and forcing her to let go, she could only watch in quiet as the one she was escorting was quickly whisked away.

Once the lights return she crouch down, blood staining the sweater and pooling onto the floor under her, the opposing arm applying pressure to the deep wound as she shivered in place silently, too shocked to even let out a cry. But tears fell nonetheless, pain once again appearing where it was lost.

• xatu flew out from hiding and used AIR SLASH on marie and cut her arm pretty bad then TELEPORTED dahlia goode away. all this under the cover of the dark.

• marie is kneeling down with her arm messed up and crying silently.

• keeping up the guise that she’s just a civilian caught up in all this.

Except that Xatu would not be able to do so now as a result of Teddy being beside both marie jules and dahlia goode armed with three Pokemon. Teddy's Gardevoir would immediately be able to notice that there was a secondary presence incoming to interrupt dahlia goode 's pace of movement, and before the Xatu would be able to reach dahlia goode 's position, he would be able to intercept the action with his Gardevoir. Given that firstly, Gardevoir was right next to dahlia goode , her teleport would have been succinct, preventing the immediate removal of Xatu from the commissioner by using TELEPORT once again, this time of her own volition, to the nearest Pokemon Center. And secondly, that Xatu chose to attack marie jules first, allowing Teddy to move in time.[break][break]

TL:DR;

Contesting teleport attempt by above post
Gardevoir identifies Xatu coming in to attack the group.
Gardevoir, being closer to the three, moves first and teleports dahlia goode away as Xatu air slashes marie jules.
