thanks for the suggestion! i'll update the site rules with this information. however, for convenience's sake, i'll answer it here too! pokémon, gijinks/polymorphs or legendaries are not playable. the intelligence of a pokémon may vary depending on the species, but i would compare this element of the site to the anime where pokémon have distinct personalities, motivations and knowledge about the world. hope this helps!

Some ideas for new player awards!

SNAKE CHARMER
catch a pokemon from each of the following evo lines: arbok, steelix, seviper, sandaconda.
[pokemon such a gyarados and serperior were excluded because they don’t resemble a snake through their entire line; however, they may be added if staff desires]

DOG SHOW
catch a pokemon from each “canine” evo line: arcanine, houndoom, manectric, absol, mightyena, stoutland, furfrou, boltund, lycanroc.
[foxes have been excluded from the list. granbull, smeargle, and lucario may also be added to the list]

CAT CAFE
catch a pokemon from each “feline” evo line: persian/perrserker, delcatty, luxray, liepard, purugly, pyroar, incineroar.
[foxes have been excluded from the list. sprigatito, meowstic, and zangoose may also be added to the list]

LIGHT-WEIGHT LINEUP
catch at least 5 Pokemon weighing under 1 pound (0.5 kilograms): gastly, wishiwashi, milcery, rotom, tynamo, etc.

TEN-TON TEAMUP
catch at least 5 Pokemon weighing over 1000 pounds (453.6 kilograms): snorlax, avalugg, metagross, copperajah, mudsdale, etc.

TEENY-WEENY TROUPE
catch at least 5 pokemon under 1 foot tall (0.3 meters): joltik, natu, burmy, budew, sinistea, etc.

SUPER-SIZED SQUAD
catch at least 5 pokemon over 10 feet tall/long (6.1 meters): milotic, gyarados, onix, dhelmise, wailord, etc.

LEGEND IN THE MAKING
catch a pokemon from each of the pseudo-legendary evo lines: dragonite, tyranitar, salamence, metagross, garchomp, hydreigon, goodra, kommo-o, dragapult.

MANMADE MONSTERS
catch a pokemon from each of the following evo lines: electrode, porygon-z, claydol, banette, garbodor, golurk, muk.

KUNG FU FIGHTING
catch at least one of each following pokemon: hitmonlee, hitmonchan, hitmontop, throh, sawk.
[other pokemon based on real-world fighting styles - such as tyrogue, machamp, hariyama, hawlucha, incineroar, etc. - may also be added]

WILDLIFE PRESERVATIONIST
let at least 25 pokemon go free by not fighting or attempting to capture them in wild threads.
