Thomas watched in horror as the Electabuzz was killed by the Grimmsnarl. Perhaps he empathized with the Electabuzz's desire to avenge their friends. But to just be callously killed off like that, without the satisfaction of harming the beast, was disgusting to watch.

The Ceruledge emerged from behind the creature through the Phantom Force. The Ceruledge silently leaped behind the beast, aiming a Bitter Blade at the back of the beast.

Thomas quicklyy brought out Ripper, his Scizor. The lumbering Scizor attempted to strike the fiend with a Bullet Punch to the head.

This wasn't going to be a fair fight, after all.

"As opposed to staying in Galar? I know Hoenn's a warzone, but wasn't Galar left a wreck after the Darkest Day?", he'd ask rhetorically. "Speaking of which, what even motivated you to visit Hoenn?", he'd inquire.

The Zorua waved a paw at the Flabebe accompanying the woman. Bunni cried out that she'd hold Pulse's teddy bear for him. The fluffy Audino handed her the bear, before rushing over to greet the Kalosian properly. Big blue eyes stared up at her innocently, his body language warm and inviting.

"This is Pulse, by the way. He's - very friendly.", he'd introduce the Duchess to the fluffball of a healer.

"I've mostly been playing the carnival games, to be honest. Been winning prizes for the little ones. But if I had to make a recommendation, the fishing game is a good start.", he'd tell her.

Thomas turned to face the familiar voice. It was the man who killed the Gible during their skirmish at the Ultra Sea. This time, a Krokorok accompanied him. Though he didn't greet him with words, the intense stare the bodyguard received spoke of Thomas' recognition, and disdain for the man.

Thomas wasn't exactly aiming to kill the Rockets. But after they had summarily executed a group of League soldiers, and tried to kill him, there was no way he was holding back against them. Those who got out alive would be lucky.

"They drew first blood.", Thomas retorted coldly.

Nearby, a group of men and women in League uniforms, all laying face down with their hands bound behind their backs, blood pouring from their slit throats, lay on the sand. Thomas was too late to save them from their grisly fate. But he was dead set on avenging them.

Mordred Bulked Up in anticipation for the coming fight.

The unconscious and broken bodies of several Rockets, as well as their Pokemon, littered the sands making up the shore. A cacophony of bootprints were left in the sand, imprints of the fighting that left the men in this state.

One unfortunate Rocket found himself on the receiving end of an arm break from the man responsible. The man cried out in agony, before being abruptly silenced with a kick to the head, causing him to fall violently onto the sands below.

Nearby, a Ceruledge finished off a Mightyena, hacking at the hound with his Bitter Blade. As the beast fell unconsious, its life force seeped into the dark knight, restoring his vitality in the process.

As the fight reaches close quarters, the ghostly knight does what it can to prevent the blows to his joints from crippling him. Ethereal hisses of pain seep through the helmet of the warrior, before he takes his swing.

As the beast goes for his throat, the Ceruledge quickly disappears into the Phantom Force.

An Electabuzz, a surviving Pokemon of one of the many dead League personnel under the Grimmsnarl, cries out furiously, before loosing a Thunderbolt at the beast.

Upon receiving a distress call, Thomas raced to the scene. A cargo freighter traveling Hoenn's Water Routes was calling for an evacuation. They were caught up in a particularly nasty storm.

Though this was a job better left for the Rangers, Thomas was still the closest person, and therefore took it upon himself to aid in the evacuation.

The distress call didn't prepare him enough for the reality of it.

Kyogre was on a rampage, without skyler dross in sight. What was going on?

Without time to dwell on it, Thomas, riding on the back of his faithful Hydreigon, raced over to the scene. Accompanying the former member of the Elite Four was a pack of dragons, including a Roaring Moon. The group worked to gather the crew of the ship, evacuating them to safety as quickly as they could muster.

Internally, Thomas was beating himself up for causing the floor to collapse. Though it got the job done, and took out the false Tapu Fini, it put them into dark, unknown territory. Granted, such a drastic measure was arguably necessary, given what they were facing.

Upon landing, Thomas turned on a flashlight attached to his body armor. Ripper, noticing the false Tapu Fini disappeared, pumped his pincer into the air. Nearby, Artanis performed a three-point landing. The Electric Terrain empowers Artanis, though the Iron Valiant let out a beep, as if telling the group it wasn't them.

Thomas quickly recalled his Scizor and Iron Valiant, sending out his Ceruledge and Hisuian Typhlosion. Aiding the Manectric, the ghostly Typhlosion unleashed an Infernal Parade down the corridor. Though it helped slow down the horde, the retaliatory attacks knocked out the Typhlosion quickly.

"Let's get the fuck outta here!", he'd tell Kyle, upon recalling his Typhlosion.

As the duo moved out of the area, Thomas turned Mordred. "Mordred, Phantom Force us out of here!", he'd order the Ceruledge.

Thomas grabbed the Ceruledge. "Grab on!", he'd tell Kyle. Once he did, Mordred, and the group, disappeared into the Phantom Force, reemerging away from the horde of futuristic Pokemon that were closing in on them.

"Fuck, that was rough!", he'd tell Kyle, upon reaching safety. "Thanks, Mordred.", he'd tell the Ceruledge, who'd give him a nod.

Unfortunately for the Seadra, she wanders into the Sleep Powder trap. As she drifts off, she finds herself coated with the Rage Powder. With aggro drawn to her, the Sharpedo charges her, slamming into her with an Aqua Jet.

Before Thomas can stop the Sharpedo, a tentacle grabs his leg. Instinctively, Thomas reaches for his knife, and a Pokeball on his belt, before he is dragged off the shark, and under the water.

As the tentacle wrapped around him, Thomas quickly deployed his Iron Valiant, Artanis. Afterward, Thomas attempted to sever the tentacles holding him with his knife.

Upon seeing their master in trouble, the Iron Valiant attempted to help, unleashing a ranged Psycho Cut towards the Tentacruel.

The next challenger, a Grimmsnarl, was standing, ready for them. With a grin, he nodded to his Ceruledge, who's blades ignited in excitement for another battle.

"Give 'em hell, Mordred.", Thomas told the Ceruledge.

The Ceruledge wasted no time, charging the Grimmsnarl, Bitter Blades reared to cut the hairy beast down mercilessly. Upon reaching his target, the Ceruledge would attempt to take a horizontal swipe at the Grimmsnarl with his blades.

Meanwhile, Thomas, who figured the Grimmsnarl's master had to be close, kept his eyes open.

Whatever satisfaction Thomas would've gained from taking out the Iron Jugulis was nothing in comparison to the disappointment in allowing the boat to reach the shore.

Of course, the encounter could've gone much worse. The woman on that boat was clearly an Avatar, a threat that would need to be reported to the League. Unfortunately, he couldn't give them much of a description, aside from a woman with her face covered, dressed in black. Though the presence of not only an Iron Jugulis, but a Shiny Unown, might help narrow it down.

With no choice, all Thomas could do was turn back, and try to hold off any further Rockets from reaching the island.

Despite their best efforts, it seemed the Great Tusk wasn't going down. Worse yet, Interdream Mist leaked out onto the field, threatening to spawn more Paradox Pokemon.

Thomas nodded with Paxton in agreement, before sending a signal to the Decidueye. Upon receiving the signal from an earpiece, the ghostly owl made his way over to Colt. The Decidueye called out to the Clawitzer, before using his Pokeball to recall him.

With the Clawitzer secured, the Decidueye flew off after Thomas, Paxton, and Serris.

The Steelix wasted no time in attempting to escape the area, while the Fairy Lock hopefully contained the behemoth.

"Damn right!", Thomas barked back.

As the Whirlwind came barreling towards the group, the Staraptor flew ahead of the Roaring Moon. Hurriedly flapping his wings, the Staraptor unleashed a Whirlwind of his own, sending it colliding with the opposing Whirlwind, in order to cancel it out.

Thomas and Midir attempted to close in on the Braviary, tail reared back for a vicious Breaking Swipe.

The Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon duo continue to wreak havoc in the skies above. Thanks to the combination of the dragon's Breaking Swipes, and the Iron Valiant's Dazzling Gleam, several of the wild Roaring Moons fell, before disippating into more Interdream Mist.

From the mist, a large Roaring Moon manifested.

Kashiwagi, upon seeing the Roaring Moon close in, lunged at the creature. The beast trapped the Urshifu in a Jaw Lock, which did little to deter the bear. Kashiwagi unleashed a brutal blitz of punches and kicks. The Roaring Moon found itself overwhelmed in Close Combat, its hold going limp, as it faded into unconsciousness. As the Roaring Moon fell back down to the boat, Colt the Clawitzer formed a slide with an Ice Beam, in order to allow the martial artist to fall to the boat safely.

On the final stretch, the final group of Roaring Moon closed in on the vessel. The Druddigon, seeing this, charged the group, calling out to the others to go ahead without him.

In one last stand, fueled by draconian Outrage, the Druddigon held off the Roaring Moon horde. Such an endeavor cost the dragon his life, with the Roaring Moon tearing him apart. Despite this, the Druddigon died with the satisfaction that he held the line, and the boat reached the shore.

"Dammit.", Thomas muttered, as they docked the boat. "Let's get these boxes loaded up, make sure that Druddigon's sacrifice isn't in vain.", he'd tell Navy, immediately getting to work, with the aid of Kashiwagi.

Colt, Artanis, and Midir all acted as guards.
