hoenn's victory is his own even if it came at the cost of his own life. hearing affirmation of such is soothing in a way. makes it feel as though it had all been worth it.[break][break]

no words could soothe what is irreparable so he remains silent, simply watching someone he never thought he would ever see again. but here she stands, staring him down as though he were a ghost.[break][break]

when she moves past him, he follows, but not without paying a nod of respect to the patrons of the tea shop.[break][break]

following her lead, he mounts his flygon, then nods at her request.[break][break]

"okay."[break][break]

back to where she had been hiding.[break][break]

they take off.[break][break]

even without guidance from the sage twins, he finds the island soon enough, cutting through clouds as he makes his descent.[break][break]

he dismounts the moment they touch down. he turns to dote on his flygon before looking up to watch her land as well.[break][break]

after brief observation, he comes to the unsurprising conclusion that the councilman lacks good taste. the décor is nothing to write home about. in fact, it is rather nondescript. boring, as some may say.[break][break]

as he settles on a seat on one of the leather couches, he meets her gaze, holding it despite her choice of skimpy clothing.[break][break]

the roar of a distant waterfall is the only thing that interrupts the peace of ever grande. there, waiting on a path they had walked together years ago is alexander, a man whose time had once ended only to be renewed.[break][break]

there is a sense of urgency in the way he approaches the house; an urgency to be expected from someone who had spent the last few years drifting in oblivion. he has much to make up for, though more importantly, he has foundations to rebuild.[break][break]
