[break][break] the game that we'll be playing is 'BLACKJACK'. with me, the most awesome most amazing patron ever to grace your presences ( ★), acting as the dealer. your fight is with me, but mainly with arian coin ! i'm merely here to make sure neither party cheats. there are times, after all, when i, too, like to see my big bro lose! it fills me with glee, upupupu! [break][break] but, let's make something clear, it's my job to make sure there're no mistakes as a head dealer. i do take my job seriously. once a fight has begun, i cannot stop it. this is a high stake game where you could very well go mad, become broke, or even lose your life, sometimes all three of the above! which makes this game even so much more exciting, fufufu! what face will big bro make when he loses, what face will you make when you lose?! ah man, i can't wait to see! i'm just too excited, so that's why... [break][break] i'm going to take this very serious and so should you, player. before we begin, let'a start with the rules. be sure to follow, cutie! ( ★)[break][break]
[break][break] HERE ARE THE RULES OF BLACKJACK:[break][break] RULES OF THE GAME: there are FOUR ROUNDS. the dealer, who is your secondary opponent, puts one card open and one hidden in front of you. the players, you and arian coin , get 2 cards. the goal is to have A TOTAL SUM HIGHER THAN THAT OF THE DEALER. after receiving the cards, the players can take up as many more cards as they want by saying ' HIT'. however, IF THE TOTAL GOES OVER 21, they have instantly lost and the dealer, or the other player if they also don't go over, wins. if you do not wish to request a hit, then you can simply say ' STAND,' meaning that you don't want any more cards. once both parties have requested to stand, the dealer reveals his second card. if the dealers total is over 21 the players have won, no matter what, except if they have already exceeded 21 earlier. [break][break] now for the TERMINOLOGIES:[break][break]
- HIT: if you hit, you take another card or cards in hopes of getting closer to 21. if the player's total exceeds 21 after hitting, the player is said to "bust" and loses the bet.
- STAND: if you stand, you elect to draw no more cards in hopes that the current total will beat the dealer.
- DOUBLE DOWN: you may elect to double your original bet and receive only one more card regardless of its denomination. you may do this by offering a LIFE CHIP worth 72HRS of your time ( can be cashed in at any moment in the future, be careful with this option ), a POKEMON, or MONEY ( not ooc money, ic money! ).
- SPLITTING: if your first two cards are of the same denomination, you may elect to make a bet and split the pair, using each card as the first card in a separate hand. For example, if you are dealt two 8s, you may slide a second bet equal to the first to your betting box. the dealer will separate the 8s, then put a second card on the first 8. you play that hand out in normal fashion until you either stand or bust; then the dealer puts a second card on the second 8, and you play that hand out.
- BLACKJACK: you automatically win the round, regardless, if you come out with a blackjack. which is when you possess an ACE and a TEN-POINT card.
- VS.: there will be times where both parties will beat the dealer, but who will take that round? in "vs.", if both parties have defeated the dealer. one player can elect to fight against the other player with their cards BY PLACING A BET. the goal of "vs." is to get a higher number than the other player. the player who has requested a "vs." will be dealt ONE more card. if the total has exceeded the other player's current cards, they will take that round. if not, they will both take that round if neither requests a "vs.", ending that round with the defeat of the dealer but a draw between both parties. each party can make one bet and one bet only in versus.
and that's that. i'll hand you both your cards. before we start, we'll do an INTRODUCTORY ROUND. so get everything you need to say to each other out of the way. i'm gonna shuffle the cards and deal, but after that the gamble will begin!" "it's an honor to be able to gamble with you, persephone." honestly, he wanted to call her 'girlfriend of FERNANDO SILPH ', but considering how their fight against the monstrosity that is guzzlord went. they could all use a break.

for now she was safe from his teasing. once kōka explained the rules, they were, currently, within the introductory round. a nice time to chat while the dealer dealt their cards and gathered his bearings. "excuse my eccentric, younger sibling. he just has too much energy and wants to be just like his big brother." arian cooed. a light chuckle, he'd add, "it can be a bit off-putting sometimes."

then, arian asked, "how're you holding up?" before the game began, he at least wanted to see how his comrade was doing. they'd just gotten out of a scary situation. but, while asking how well she was doing, he'd follow up with a cheeky grin. brows would arise and then lower continuously. arian, cheekily grinning, asked "was he upset? huh? was he? huh-huh? tell me." mime jr. mimicked arian's childish grin and facial expression. with each 'huh' his brows continued to rise and then fall. speaking of FERNANDO SILPH and his, assumed, romantic feelings for the discoverer of mega evolution. arian wanted to know what the military dog of hoenn felt about her being on the front lines and purposely flinging herself into danger.
