For a moment he begins to differ, his mouth opening slightly to disagree- but he relents, pulling up a chair and taking his seat beside her.

“Fine~” He says with a gentle smile set upon his lips.

His hand moves taking hold of a strip of bacon and biting into it, his eyes setting on her and awaiting for her to begin as he had.

And when she did, he looked to her expectantly, head tilting slightly before he spoke a single word.

“Good?”

It caught him by surprise: the kiss that she had stolen, yet at the same time it had not; Kim becoming used to the cheeky displays of affection she had shown more often than not. This was not limited to only her actions either, Kim smiling at her charming announcement for “dessert.”

“Yes ma’am, Miss Nassam~”

He chuckles out in a smooth tone, giving her a once over before he turned back to the stove.

Quickly the final dish would be made, less than professional french toast presented with the rest.

“Feel free to eat when you’d like.”

Kim said as he began cleaning up after himself.

If he were a lesser man, he would simply accept her compliments with a quiet stoicism, a small smile accompanying. But Kim was of a higher pedigree, one that allowed his emotions to shine despite second thoughts of keeping face.

His hands would slowly move to gently set the butter knife down before he wrapped his arms around Nawja, pulling her into his embrace with a plethora of smooches, each kiss hitting a different inch of her face.

The words she spoke were honest and to hear them said only brought him an exuberant amount of joy.

“I know.” He relents an answer. “But I love it when you compliment me, Nawwy~” His words came out as sweetly as his actions.

Everything was happening so fast, from his supposed date’s facade breaking, to the sudden surge of snow that sidled against the cabinside. His body instinctively turned to the Zoroark, forcing him to hurry to a tissue-paper clad Najwa’s side, releasing a Gothorita- properly adorned with her own outfit for the evening- who would quickly cover a large portion of the wall with a translucent forcefield. The councilman sends a, “Thank you.” the Gothorita’s way before returning attention to Najwa, twisting and turning her every which way as he threw tissue paper aside idly.

“You’re not hurt are you, Na?” He said in a somewhat worried tone, as he waved the Gothorita over. “Healing Pulse.” The man commanded offhandedly, the Gothorita obeying with a huff, releasing a wave of healing around her immediate area.

Of course there was still the issue of being snowed in to be handled, but that was less important than the wellbeing of his date, Kim nonchilantly tossing out a few balls; sending a Persian, Ambipom, and Teddiursa to dig their escape.

“Na, I’m careful with my cutlery.”

As demonstrated with careful pacing he displayed with said knife, Kim sure to not scratch the surface of the pan, hovering over it instead.

“It’s nice that you’re getting time to do things for yourself though, even if it's not too much. But don’t forget about me okay? I get lonely too.”

Words spoken in a joking manner with a meaning which was anything but.

As the wind picked up, Kim intertwined within it, spinning in unison with Ruby.

“Comes with the territory, I suppose.”

Words intermingled within the gale of their spiral, approaching dizzying heights until Kim had finally ceased, outstretching his arm- hand grasped in Ruby’s own, their dance concluding with the wind.

He’d bow, then stand straight, looking to the girl with a smile.

“I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. And don’t be afraid to make some friends, miss.”

Final words shared before he turned to meet face to face with Najwa.

“Oh!”

He exclaimed surprisedly, before his face turned defected, the scent reaching his nose unfamiliar.

“Did you wash off the perfume?”

“I am quite nice to look at.” He states matter-of-factly, looking to her for a second before returning his gaze to the pan, soon lifting the omelette and setting it onto a plate sat nearby.

“What have you been doing lately? I know you’re working with Fernando on something, but other than that, what personal projects have been occupying your time?”

He moves around the kitchen, dropping the dirtied pan into the sink before grabbing another and setting it on a burner. “Can you wash that for me real quick?” He asks as he lowers the stoves heat, promptly moving over to the fridge and grabbing a stick of butter, cutting a slice into the pan before setting it back from whence it came, using the knife which once cut the butter to spread it around the pan.

Licking the sugar, he’d hum delightedly, pulling out a drawer and grabbing a towel, extending it towards her.

“Yet here you are, hand in hand with a councilman, in the middle of the dancefloor of one of the most anticipated events of the year.”

Their movements are kept simple as they commune, a step to the left, a step forward, a step to the right, and a step back, repeated over and over again within the time they spent together on the dancefloor.

“It’s obvious your fears don’t control you even with the doubts they put in your mind. You had the courage to not only approach me- despite your better judgement- but also ask to dance, in turn sharing your woes with me.”

He switches up their movements, twirling her in and out, careful not to bump into any others as they moved about the dance floor.

“New experiences are often times beneficial when it comes to breaking the shell of self-doubt. Keep up the good work and eventually doubt will become an afterthought to assurance.”

A soft smile was shared with the girl before he turned to look at the group he had paired himself with, Stormy seeming to have splintered off as he had, the others still remaining; their conversations seeming sparse. He couldn’t help but find it funny to witness.

Her casual acts of flirtation had become commonplace for him, yet the effect they had on his body could prove otherwise. He gulped hard, laughing off the notion yet still feeling the effects of her words, nearly dropping the spoon in the process of keeping his cool.

“The sugar is in the cabinets, top shelf.”

Though it had been refilled on a near constant- much like every perishable in the home- its uses were limited, only pulled out on the odd occasion.

“Give me a sec and I’ll help you grab it.”

His hands remained busy, continuing to garnish the dish with a variety of spices, attempting to bring out the full flavour in each of the ingredients added.

“I’ve always known how to cook, Na. This was originally just a bare essential of living alone, but I picked it up as a hobby when I started to get bored of everything else that I found interesting. Variety is the spice of life after all.”
