Regardless of any protest the admin might have made Samuel would’ve got him to abandon his Rocket duties and enjoy a day of rest and relaxation.

The man looked like at any second he’d probably keel over from stress. So he decided to take Marcel to Dewford and more specifically route 107 which was just outside of the town.

This place was the perfect spot; they could enjoy the warm weather and the beach without the crowds of the other popular beach spots like Slateport. Honestly he'd love to live at a spot like this, have a house on the shore. Who wouldn't love that?!

And Sam set them up with some nice beach chairs, a cooler with drinks and if there was anything else they might need it was on his boat and he could always grab it later.

”Come on then, take a seat. Want something to drink?” He’d ask, popping open the cooler and rummaging through it.

”Uh let’s see.” He had packed this so long ago he didn’t remember all the crap that he tossed in it. Rummaging through it he picked out a few drinks but none of them were an iced coffee.

”Sorry, all I’ve got are some waters, beer, and lemonade. And you won’t believe how expensive this lemonade was, it’s ridiculous.” An idea popped into his head as he thought about the drink selections.

”I think I might have some more stuff on the boat, I could always go check.” But checking would have to wait as there was a wild Pokémon near his boat.

”Oi! Get away from there!” Samuel shouted, dropping the drinks, and then sending a Pokémon out.

”Thunder!” He ordered of his Manectric that he just released. The electric type did as told and attacked the Seadra that was near the boat with a bolt of lightning.

”Phew, sorry about that! So what’ll it be? One of these or I can go check.” Samuel said as he nonchalantly tossed an empty capsule toward the Seadra.

”Okay a beer it is!” And again he went exploring back into the cooler, trying to find the coolest beer to give to the admin.

”Here you go! One beer for you and I’ll be having a lemonade.” He’d hand the drink over and then take his seat which faced the ocean.

”This shit better be good.” He snarled to himself as he opened the drink. He stared at it suspiciously at first before taking a sip out of it and much to his surprise it was pretty damn good. But the drink still was not worth that bloated price.

Finally, after the Pokémon from earlier had been dealt with, their drinks out, they could enjoy some nice peace and quiet with nothing but the waves to make noise.

Samuel was comfortable, and so much so that he ignored the wild Pokémon nearby. They weren’t really bothering him so there was no need to worry.

”So, how have you been?”

Samuel took another sip of the drink has he listened to Marcel but this nice long drink of tasty lemonade almost killed him as he choked on it due to the shock from Marcel’s comment.

Before he could question his comment his body first had to go through an involuntary coughing fit.

”Please tell me you don’t actually spend that much time in that death tube.” He managed to finally get out, wiping lemonade from his mouth.

He knew the man had been working a hell of a lot but he didn't imagine it had all been down there and wasn't like at some separate office on land.

”Being stuck that deep beneath the sea with those people sounds like a nightmare.” Unless you had a Pokémon with teleport there was no quick escape from the confines of that sub.

”Did the boss keep you chained down there?”

”Right, well I’m glad I managed to get you on one of those days you’re free.” Samuel shook his head as he then took another sip of his drink. Marcel’s response wasn’t all that convincing but Samuel didn’t think the man was in a position to complain.

What was he going to do? Go up to the boss of a criminal organization that would have no problem eliminating problem children and ask for fewer hours?

Yeah, that sounded like a good way for Marcel’s office to end up being on the outside of that sub.
