the glosses have crafted fine jewelry for centuries, and have been mining around the base of mt. coronet for even longer. in addition to drawing controversy from environmentalists, the glosse family has built a hushed reputation among dark, criminal circles. they've hosted smugglers and rich deviants of all walks for a price in their old mines.

after the recent disappearance of gregor and anastasia glosse, who were well-known in wealthy circles and socialized often, the business was inherited their second son, maddonis, after the first disappeared and joined the league (this is known to a select few in rocket who knew his family personally)

as of right now, no one in the league knows maddonis is in rocket, except for his brother daga. no one is aware of their relation, as daga is going by a different name. maddonis does not know it.

the family as a whole has been associated with rocket for a long time, but there are few who would be aware of this, and they'd probably all be old (and literally older by age) rocket members. after the disappearance of gregor and anastasia glosse (parents), maddonis moved to hoenn and joined the new rocket.

maddonis has been completing missions steadily, and quietly trying to climb the ranks within rocket. he very much approves of their new boss, declan walsh, and is energized by rocket's new focus on power.

a small handful of rockets are aware that maddonis has family in the league, all of which knew the family personally before maddonis came to hoenn, and long before the disappearance of his parents. some are aware that he plans to find and kill his brother, daga, but even less are alert to the seriousness of his threat. it remains uncertain if that is maddonis' main objective, to anyone but him.

the glosse family recently disappeared, and while this isn't necessarily a secret, it's not huge public knowledge. maddonis has become CEO of glosse jewelers kind of quietly, and he continues to do business on the side of working for rocket. he's not betraying them in any way, but he'd rather not flaunt the fact that he's making oodles of money on his own rather than helping fund rocket progress.

maddonis' ultimate reason for coming to hoenn and joining the new rocket, while leaving his sister stroyah on the estate in sinnoh to do business, is so that he can locate his brother, daga, who abandoned his siblings after their parents' disappearance to join the league in what was a gouging betrayal from totally out of left field. thus far, he's worked from the benefit of himself within the bigger picture, which consists of climbing the ranks in rocket just so he can strike his brother down from the top in an act of ultimate vengeance. maddonis is quickly getting lost down the rabbithole of his trauma-induced obsession, and his vulnerable mind is gradually breaking into a general lust for power and control.
