WAR OF THE WORLDS RAID
SETTING: LATE SEPTEMBER
THIRD DAY OF THE WAR



ADVANCING THROUGH THE COLD



WITHIN THE HARROWING HAIL the advance blazes forth. Lasers shot from the airborne Stakataka cubes pierce through ice and snow, causing shards to melt as they’re lit by their light.[break][break][break]

On his Corviknight, soars toward the mountain summit. STEEL WING knocks a cube away as @sanvi leaps on her own Corviknight. Her Froslass adds to the BLIZZARD with her own as it phases in and out of the snowy weave like the ghost it is.[break][break][break]

As scales the mountain, her poison-type Pokemon attempt to PROTECT her. Draped in tentacles, her Tentacruel defends her before a laser pierces through a SLUDGE BOMB to strike the frog in the chest. One strike from the laser does not kill— however, the Toxicroak immediately faints. Nearby, a FIRE SPIN illuminates the way for . As her Lampent attempts to stave off cubes, her Emolga erects protective defenses for their party.[break][break][break]

Within the hail, complaints are wholly justified. Ice pierces the skin with its bone-chilling cold. As his Nidoking and Nidoqueen launch POISON STRIKES at the fleeing cubes, they are able to slow two “pillars” from joining the main Stakataka ahead. Although Nidoqueen must rush to strike with its fangs, ’s Blissey manages to PSYCHIC a swarm of cubes together for ’s Pokemon to catch up and for ’s Dragapult to cleanly fire its DRAGON DARTS. Together with ’s Pinsir, @iris, , , and their Pokemon forge a collaborative bulwark against the treacherous terrain and weather.[break][break][break]

@iris’s Swampert’s SURF surges to the side. Within the cold, the water quickly freezes— and like Cutiefly petrified in amber, several cubes remain suspended in ice.[break][break][break]

As and ’s Pokemon strike fleeing Stakataka cubes to slow them— a cube sweeps around. Its eye glows as a laser fires at her Blissey— and it strikes the rotund healer in the chest. It immediately faints with a thud, but before the drone can fire again, ’s Falinks stack quickly. “The Brass” angles its body downward so that its spartan helmet PROTECTS from harm. Professor Creighton's Stonjourner WIDE GUARDS too, protecting and from harm— for their rescue has reaped karmic luck.[break][break][break]

Eventually, they reach the mountain and find on her Copperajah mount. Her Altaria flaps its clouds as DRACO METEORS soar overhead, striking drones and tearing into the remnants of several deactivated cubes embedded into the earth thanks to her Copperajah’s HEAVY SLAM.[break][break][break]

WAILORDS IN THE AIR



IN THE AIR, a motherly is clung upon by Phione. Within the winter storm, four Phione summon the rain. As his Salamence DRAGON CLAWS cubes away, the other four Phione summon WHIRLPOOLS. Thee swirling vortex of water whips droplets in the sky, protecting , , and who ride on Salamence. Several cubes become trapped within the swirl, and as an AURA SPHERE is added— a powerful explosion rocks the air.[break][break][break]

Before the flying-type gym leader is taken by the explosion, a Tornadus feather grants him and his party the speed to push them to safety. On top of their Salamence, and summon their Wailord. Below, the large Stakataka has ’s Wailord contained. A HURRICANE from ’s intimidating Salamence push away any drones that manage to escape ’s grand ode of water.[break][break][break]

The eyes that surround ’s Wailord see that the creature is PROTECTING itself. Swiftly, the cubes shift. They flip around in unison so that the eyes face outward— and in a defensive reaction, FIRE THEIR LASERS ALL AT ONCE. and ’s Wailord drop on to the Stakataka, but find that lasers pierce through their bodies. Their heavy weight lands on the fortified Stakataka, and although their maneuver does not crush the immense tower, they are instrumental in forcing the beast to release ’s Wailord.[break][break][break]

The Wailord slip off of the cubes as they detach and attempt to escape. Despite ’s Lapras’ AURORA VEIL, they bleed, moaning loudly as whales do in sorrowful song. It seems like they require swift healing. Before the Stakataka can reform, ’s Steelix rushes forth. Her Alolan Golem brings five cubes to its body as the steel serpent DIGS and DEVOURS a huge chunk of the Ultra Beast’s body. @iris’s Aegislash rushes forth to capitalize on the hindered Stakataka. As one of its legs attempts to hop away, the Aegislash SACRED SWORDS the “limb” with a clamorous SHIIING.[break][break][break]

As the Stakataka struggles to reunite its remaining cubes, the cubes on ’s Alolan Golem fire five lasers— aiming at and the Steelix to nullify the threat.[break][break][break]

SANDS AND BREAKNECK SPEEDS



ALONGSIDE THE COUNCILMAN, contributes to the fight with her mega evolving Sandaconda. The sand serpent coils up dramatically, its black diamond markings a dramatic ascension. Its nostrils flare, gun barrels igniting with the immense strength of a G-MAX SANDBLAST. While ’s Steelix chomps cubes despite their firing lasers, the remaining cubes can not flee.[break][break][break]

They are continually trapped by the Mega Sandaconda’s sands, allowing everyone else to capitalize on the Ultra Beast’s further weakened and diminished state. ’s Toxtricity surges with electricity as it SHIFTS GEARS to head to the mountain. follows her, and as the councilman’s Slowking conjures a PSYCHIC TERRAIN, his Silvally mount hastens dramatically. BREAKNECK BLITZ causes the canine to glow with overwhelming strength, and the chimera bolts toward the mountain. must hold close as the Silvally charges through Megalopolans and Naganadels alike.[break][break][break]

NOTE: 's Silvally will still be able to use BREAKNECK BLITZ next round.

VELMOS


AN ESPEON LEAPS OUT FROM A POKEBALL and immediately PROTECTS and from a splash of POISON spewed from the Poipole's mouth.[break][break][break]

On the eastern island, the remaining trammel grinds into the island once more. The seas surge as Velmos lunges for and with teeth bared. He's agile, footwork like a trained combatant's.[break][break][break]

[break][break][break]

's Beedrill mega evolves, stingers extending into deadly javelins. Its grooved abdomen shoots into a threatening pale yellow stinger— and as it lunges for Velmos' Poipole, a loud bellowing noise rocks the sea. His Poipole is struck, forcing it to release the blue orb. However, Velmos catches it despite the Braviary's TAILWIND. As he clutches it, the orb glows with a frightening light.[break][break][break]

"TOO LATE."[break][break][break]


Vines ensnare him from 's Venusaur as his Poipole is whipped toward him by the winds. As lunges for the orb, Velmos drops his jaw and CRUNCHES the orb— shattering it with inhumane strength. From the blue stone, an explosive energy rapidly flies out of its separating shards. The force knocks and back— and while Velmos is whipped away by 's Dragapult, he disappears with a broken smile.[break][break][break]

His Poipole remains, pierced through the head by 's Beedrill.[break][break][break]

CLIMAX



WITHIN THE MURKY WATERS, something stirs. A large wave obscures sight of the Nihilego and as the swell subsides, they’re gone. However, ’s Shedinja and Gyarados manage to witness what has occurred. Underwater, the Nihilego lash at a gargantuan sea monster. Their tentacles strike at the large fish as it gobbles their gelatinous bodies up. Tearing them apart until they’re motionless, a colossal Kyogre wrestles them into the depths before ascending once again.[break][break][break]

’s Kingdra would witness the legendary creature’s surfacing, and as the Kyogre leaps above the surface, the energy from Velmos’ shattered blue orb is immediately siphoned into the nearby trammel’s peak— before redirecting it toward the legendary Pokemon. The pillar of light shrieks like a HYPER BEAM and strikes the Kyogre with a powerful bang.[break][break][break]

Kyogre plummets back into the sea with a resounding splash. It writhes, violently flailing about as its body grows to double its original size. Markings stretch across its fins as translucent veins. Heavy rain begins to beat down upon the island and the water levels begin to rise. As narrowly avoids the lasers of the Stakataka cubes, he counts his blessings as he flees the incoming sea.[break][break][break]

Everyone flees toward the mountain for the water begins to drown the seaside town. Rapidly, the remaining Stakataka cubes drown too— and as everyone charges for high land, the Kyogre leaps from the waters, its new forme pulsing with ancient energy.[break][break][break]

On its two fins, everyone would be able to see two vulnerable organs glowing within their translucent centers. However, such an observation is swiftly replaced by the Pokemon’s rampage. Countless beams of light surround the Kyogre. They launch, tearing into the island. League troops and surviving Megalopolans are engulfed by the beams, and as flees among several League soldiers, he too, is incinerated by an ORIGIN PULSE.[break][break][break]

Another pillar of energy strikes the trammel in the east. The trammel explodes— and the wormhole above it suddenly surges with energy before imploding with a bang.[break][break][break]

As the mountain is crowded by survivors, ’s Mega Beedrill notices that the Poipole is glowing too. Swiftly, a Naganadel stinger lunges for , for the Ultra Beast has evolved. After all, the brain is housed within its abdomen.[break][break][break]

TO CALM PRIMAL KYOGRE, TARGET THE ORGANS ON ITS LEFT AND RIGHT FIN AND ROLL. SPECIFY WHICH FIN YOU ARE TARGETING.[break][break]

EACH FIN MUST PASS 1000 IN ROLLS TO TURN THE KYOGRE AWAY. YOU MAY POST AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WISH, BUT EVERYONE SHOULD TRY TO POST AT LEAST ONCE.[break][break]

Water seemed to envelop her and her companion as they flew, protecting them from the lasers being fired way. Her attention was entirely focused on her Wailord leaving her unable to see what precisely exploded up above or why the wind suddenly swept over them with such speed to boost their flight, but she wasn't about to question it. These unexplained questions can be answered in time, but they are of no concern at the moment.

The whales dropping from the sky are suddenly struck with lasers from the bricks, but luckily it seems Tiny is safe for the time being. The other whales are injured but nothing seems to show that they are on immediate death. She's not entirely sure where the sandstorm comes from, but everyone else swarming in to attack the various bricks and destroy the beast as much as possible certainly was an enjoyable sight. Before she can inspect the wailords, Celeste's attention is stolen quite dramatically by the surging waves and the reveal of what hid beneath.

Kyogre.

Celeste's heart stopped as she watched, almost in slow motion, as the beam of light struck Kyogre with such force. The very moment she witnessed Kyogre plummet back into the waves and flail, she practically shouted with a desperate urgency in her voice. "Take us down! Now!"

Kyogre couldn't be hurt... It just wasn't possible. What the hell did those aliens do? Kyogre's entire form seemed to change, almost like some twisted form of mega evolution. With such heavy rain beating down, the sea level itself begins to rise and flood the entire seaside town below. Such devastation... Was this truly what Kyogre desired? Or was this some feeble attempt to manipulate and control a goddess itself?

The scary part was that it seemed to be working. Beams of light surround her that quickly burn into the island down below, ripping apart rock and disintegrating people alive without a second thought... Her form vastly altered and shaken to a terrifying degree. People are crowding for the higher ground, but Celeste knows it won't last long. The ocean always takes what it wants.

Staring in disbelief, Celeste shouted once more. "Get down! Now!" Glancing back at with a serious look on her face, Celeste reached back to her Pokeball and quickly returned Tiny so he could rest for a brief moment, as well as not be such a large target for those terrifying beams of light.

The young, sickly woman didn't understand what to do. Even as a beam struck the Trammel and destroyed it, Kyogre remained the same. This pained, twisted version... It briefly reminded her of the Shadow Lugia in Rocket's possession. Just how much pain were they in? If Kyogre deemed it, Celeste would have walked straight to her death with a smile. But this... this was raw power unleashed. Uncontrolled and senseless destruction.

It didn't take a genius to know what others would do. They'll strike back. Foolish people thinking that they could challenge a goddess... but, she could not blame them. It was human nature to fight for survival, even if it might be hopeless. Celeste's heart was rapidly beating inside her chest as she struggled to internally debate, eventually making a decision.

She was going to fight.

It didn't feel good, and the guilt was impossible to repress. The tears already were beginning to pour down her face, hidden behind the heavy rains that poured all around them. There were no options. It was this... or let Kyogre struggle in pain. Perhaps if she can have her Dhelmise drain the energy, maybe things will be okay. She could hope... With almost inaudible whispers, Celeste began to pray. "Please... forgive me for my selfish acts, sister of the ground-shaker. I am but mortal flesh, imperfect..."

Shaking rather visibly, Celeste turned her attention to Dhelmise floating down below. Within the water, he was just as he always was. With a very shaky tone to her voice, Celeste shouted. "G-GIGA DRAIN!" The pokemon reared back, aiming for the large translucent organ on the LEFT FIN. Even it could sense the hesitation in their trainer's voice, but an order was an order.

the moment the kyogre pops up is the moment mcflurry decides she's through with this shit. her glalie helpfully shields her from the oncoming lasers using protect, the best it can after a high-power impact like that.

(the steelix easily tanks past the lasers with its gigant defense.)

"mc-cazzo! che due coglioni! figlio de puttana — i mcfucking quit being a rocket after this!"

mcflurry stomps and screams and doesn't care who hears her. and with that, the steelix jets off. towards the primal kyogre, with mcflurry's sheer frustration overpowering her sense of dread.

speeding up one last time to full potential with another rock polish, steelix ducks and dodges and sails past all the incoming attacks from both the kyogre and everyone else attacking the kyogre, until her pokemon get into striking distance.

from there, it's a salvo of all her pokemon's strongest attacks. blizzards and discharges both start slamming into the kyogre's limb, with steelix doing its damn best to weave through the attacks.

mcflurry's hat is lost in the storm, a flash of green camo gone into the ocean.

they sicken of the calm, who knew the storm

Drenched to the bones, Skyler felt more than saw the sudden demise of those nasty cubes that'd been following them. Her eyes were fixed instead on the falling Wailords, following their path downward. A sudden feeling of dread exploded in her chest at the sight of the lasers that rose up to pierce Nautilus. 

"Nautilus!..." The horrified whisper was eaten away by the storm. Before the sailor could charge ahead to save her Wailord, the sky exploded. Reality was abruptly cast into an oversaturated play of light and shadow as a massive blue beam of energy crossed the sky, its shriek drowning out most every other sound. 

As if in slow motion, Skyler watched it hit a colossal pokémon, its writhing shape growing larger and rising out of the ocean like an avenging god. Only then does the woman recognize the pokémon as a twisted, misshapen version of the legendary Kyogre -- and all blood is siphoned away from her face.

's request snapped her out of the haze of horror she'd fallen into, the desperation in the other woman's voice working like a slap in the face. Beneath them, screams started to hit a terrifying crescendo as the seaside town beneath them was swiftly swallowed by the rising waters. Skyler did her best to keep them safe in the air as beams of deadly energy laid waste to the island and the lives therein.

They soon approached land, and the sailor caught some of the words in 's prayer. A sudden surge of fear gripped her throat as she helped the shaking woman onto land. Before she could slip away, Skyler held on to her hand, making sure she got the pale woman's attention. Silver eyes searched Celeste's for a moment. "Don't die," she finally whispered, the words both a command and a prayer of their own. 

With a last squeeze, Skyler let go of and rose into the air again, diving into the chaos as she approached her fallen Wailord. Much to her relief, it seemed like the whale pokémon was using a PROTECT to guard itself against further injury - but Skyler knew it wouldn't last forever.

"Slowbro, use HEAL PULSE! Atalanta, cover us!" The pink pokémon behind her yawned, but as it opened its mouth a brilliant surge of a pink-ish white energy expanded out and into Nautilus' body. It would then seek out 's and 's Wailords to heal them too. 

Coasting along the mountainside, Atalanta would seek out any opponents and use HYPER BEAM on any threat that approached them. Taking a deep breath, Skyler would then release Lapras onto a nearby mountainside path. "Lapras, I need you to use Thunder." She pointed at the Kyogre. 

The siren pokémon crooned in response and the distant clouds started to rumble ominously. Small sparks of electricity danced along the Lapras' shell and it cried out, an arc of lightning coming down from the storm clouds to hit Kyogre's left fin.

Ethel stopped as rain began to strike her face.

The right word for it was definitely strike. The rain was aggressive. Not the soft patter of a spring shower or the pale imitative fury of a summer storm, but an angry, hateful deluge. The raindrops stung as they struck her skin.

Now atop the mountain, Ethel turned back to look at what was happening behind her, and nearly stopped breathing as Kyogre itself rose from the waters, its body swollen and twisted and wrong. Ethel held her breath as the guardian of the seas rose into the air--

and attacked. Origin Pulses tore into the seaside town, pulverizing anything in their path.

Stratus, bless the Emolga's fiery soul, was still willing to fight. He'd had plenty of experience taking on opponents larger than him, and though he was intimidated, surely, he would not hold back. He and the clones he'd summoned from Double Team rose into the air in unison, releasing an Electro Ball to fire at the huge behemoth's right fin.

Flavor supported the attack with a Dragon Pulse of her own, alongside Crescent's Shadow Ball. Magic, considering the rain pelting them and the blasts from Kyogre tearing apart the land, erected a Protect, along with Stratus's previous Light Screen, hoping to mitigate possible damage.

With his buggy mental relay Sénon was able to evade the expansion of a huge sea beast that had an uncanny resemblance to Kyogre. Unwilling to be gullible he wanted to cast off his thoughts that it could possibly the legendary personification of the sea that created the seas and solved droughts.

But, after seeing Celebi with his own eyes, reality and his sense of it was more fluid than it used to be.

With Ninju's help he was able to move the Salamence up and backwards to avoid the occupied space when the legendary sea monster grew to gargantuan sizes to dwarf even the wailords.

Turning to he put himself in her shoes and realized she needed to get to her wailord. Urging Hiei forward the Salamence would surf the skies avoiding lasers and flying rock debris. Having watched the beam that enraged and enlarged Kyogre come from another trammel
with the trammel itself acting as some kind of amplifier as a smaller beam came from the area where some of their forces had gone, likely to face the higher-ups of the enemy army.

Sénon wanted to go there to back up the people stopping their enemy leadership. But, with a passenger on board he couldn't think of only himself. She had a healer on her team and one of her pokémon was probably banged up pretty bad. "I'm Sénon, forgot to mention it before." He yelled back to her over the commotions filling the sky. "Let's go save your whale."

"Ninju help stop Kyogre." It felt surreal to even say such a thing aloud.

He placed a hand on its head in firm encouragement. "Don't be gone long, I might need you here." With an affirmative buzz the sonic-speed bug went after the wide open right fin.

Kaida and her Pokemon climbed higher and higher, just in time to see sea levels rise and a legendary appearance. Kaida was no stranger to worship, nor a god, she had been revived before, after all. She held no reverence for a rampaging beast, though.[break][break]

Muspel steamed against the water hitting her scales, the Charizard still ready and willing to go. Clinging to a rock face, Bragi aimed and fired Overdrive at the right fin. "Kjoll, protect them! Muspel...let's go. Drop me and run if I'm killed." They had to protect them, the civilians climbing higher, the Pokemon. Those faces she still could remember. She wanted to do this. [break][break]

Muspel screamed forward, firing off Air Slashes. Back on the mountain, Kjoll used Stealth Rock, rocky shields and attacks against any remaining troops or incoming attacks. Still spinning like a cyclone, Silk joined the flight path of Muspel, firing off Rock Slide...they'd catch him when he transformed back, he trusted them. [break][break]

To be perfectly and honestly fair, Alexei was not expecting what the little… ‘armada’ of Phione had planned to actually fucking work. Like, wow.

The one in his hold chirped like a mad lady, before turning to face him and giving him the biggest shit-eating grin she could manage. Now that they were at a rather… fantastical height, Alexei was pretty sure nothing was going to shoot them down.

Well, that was until he saw what had came out of the waters beyond the seaside village’s horizon and had to do a take two. What in the absolute flying fuck was that?!

Okay, using that feather to get the hell out of there before it exploded was a good idea in hindsight, he thought, mentally thanking his instincts (that had been screaming at him that whatever the hell Vincent had thrown at the spin-cycle vortex was stupid dangerous) and releasing it at the right moment.

Now they were faced with something—the normal Rain Dance seemed to intensify in power, and he looked down at all the Phione that was hanging onto his arms and shoulders before looking at Zelle.

“What’s going on?” he asked, eyebrows raised. The eight other Phione let out a collective wail, before attempting to slip into his jacket, the better to hide from the—from the other thing that had risen out of the ocean’s depths!

“Wha—?!” he exclaimed as all the Phione fought among themselves, trying to hide within his jacket. Zelle, disturbingly, wasn’t fazed by the sight of the gigantic Pokémon that had emerged from the depths of the ocean and had lit up like a disco ball—before absolutely attempting to ravage the seaside town that they were trying to rescue!

Okay, for one, that was not cool, and another—the inside of his jacket felt extremely wiggly now, and he could hear muffled wailing noises coming from inside of it. He looked at his Phione once more, who shrugged before pointing at the beams of light that were looking to decimate everything in its path—maybe it was some stupid insane luck they were all the way up here in the skies, hopefully beyond reach…

“I know, but how—“ he mused, before noticing that there were attacks being thrown at it coming from several sides—noticeably, were they aiming for the wings? Either way…

“I can help snipe it from up here. Vince, get ready.”

The Lucario held his paws out forward, conjuring up a sphere of auric energy. But before he could throw it downward at the berserk Pokémon that was trying to wipe everyone else out, he added hastily, “Tat, add your Ps—no wait, not that, add your Magical Leaf around the sphere Vince is whipping up!”

The Gardevoir turned to give him a confused look, but all he said was, “Trust me on this!” before patting the Salamence’s neck again. “Gabe, fantastic flying out there—get your Protect up, okay?!”

The Salamence nodded, waiting for the Lucario to release the powered up Aura Sphere—which the Gardevoir had applied a swirling addition of leaves before the Lucario chucked it at the left side of what he guessed was the Pokémon’s wing—fin? Was it? Alexei had no idea.

“Tat, release the Magical Leaf the moment the Aura Sphere lands where Vince aimed it, okay?” he added a few moments later as they flew around the heavy rainstorm, hoping that this insanity would work.

Now all they had to watch out for was Thunder…

• Lucario conjures up a powered-up Aura Sphere (thanks once more, Nasty Plot) but before it’s thrown

• Once done, Lucario launces the combined attack with exact instructions to the Gardevoir to release the Magical Leaf the moment the Aura Sphere impacts the left wing—fin thing
• Salamence throws up its Protective barrier just in case

Via Ranton's () submerged speed and Dinja's () psychic tracking, the odd couple didn't have to search very far for the source of the psionic feedback the Buggy Mind Readers had gotten.

Its glowing eyes cut though the darkness of the deep no different than a blaring white beacon in the night.

Even a Gyarados, classified as the Atrocious Pokémon and a living ghost species Shedinja; both were given pause and struck with fear in the face of the leviathan before them.

Ordered not to engage they froze their movements in the chilled waters watching as the Kyogre made quick work and well-earned snacks out of two large white jellyfish from the invaders' army. Shedinja picked the name from the mind of Sénon; Nihilego they were called. They tried to strangle it down only for it to bite away their flesh and pummel them with all the backings of the pressure of the deep.

The sea dragon and the living shell were in awe and stayed submerged in a sort of shock while the Kyogre took to the surface.

When they finally came above water they found only chaos with their trainer's allies and even one of their own teammates fighting against the titan of a pokémon which had grown even larger. They watched on helplessly unsure of what to do considering what they had just seen.
It wasn't until they saw a teammate of their own () attacking its right side that they rushed in to help without thinking twice.

The world twisted and turned against the rumbling of a distant tremmel. The sea was rocked and split like a raging primordial sea. The sky ripped open with a horrific downpour, one that was almost too heavy to breath in. It...felt like Billi was drowning mid flight, but...it was peaceful, despite the violent weather. Then… it happened, like free willie the hentai monsters were consumed and the visions of legends came to life. Kyoger was alive and well, and even worse awakened to something more frightening.



Flying towards the summit….was smart until...WHOMP!!! The sound of powerful laser shots up the mountain cause Ravati to take a quick left turn with a jetplane style swirl. “Oh my god…. Ravati…” Billi’s fists balled up in the feathers as he watched something wrong with the legendary pokemon, “W-why is it doing this?!” he asked his pokemon as another round was firing off, and the Corviknight kept flying to dodge it, and the sea level quickly rose. “The people down there! Ravati! What do we do?!” he asked the pokemon to screech in the heavy rain.



Strangely enough, Billi himself seemed to be unaffected by the weight of the rain, sure it was harder to breath, but...that was how he felt every single night alone. And nothing more than the weight of Hoenn on his shoulders at the start of the world could compare. Billi thought for a moment, “We’re better off trying to contain it I think...Control it from moving further up, in order to...wait..lilycove?!” Billi couldn’t see the shores...really anything for that matter besides the glowing marks of the beast.



“attack it… I’ll bring out Din,” Billi released the spider only to have it panic as it began to fall, and have the Corviknight catch it, holding it with his talons, “Okay, swing by and we’re gonna help the others…” he stated as Corviknight swooped down, “Electro web it all over...the best you can and we’ll keep doing it until something works.” The Galvantula nodded and shot it’s Electro web at the RIGHT FIN hoping to constrict it and do more damage then it normally could.

the ocean lets out a deafening roar as the leviathan breakes from the sea's surface, ancient runes running across its azure body that selena has only witnessed in the books of legends. the sky grumbles with storm, more chaos threatening to drown lilycove while the kyogre rises from the water with its origin pulse. but before she takes care of that—[break][break]

“duck!” she calls as medusa provides him support with the naganadel. the milotic summons blizzard into the poison dragon's direction, stopping its attempt at piercing through the man's flesh. it seems the gym leader cannot recognize him with their previous altercation, especially with all the disarray around them.[break][break]

her other pokémons focus on the greater threat coming to them. while light screen and reflect is still reflected, the pinkette's party advances towards the rampaging behemoth of the ocean. hand-in-hand, ganesha power whips into the rocks, attempting to hurl the broken boulders into the energy orbs of the beast's origin pulse. with electricity sizzling into the field of rain, yellow mist surges from the gym leader as her terrain attempts to partially stun the mighty kyogre. “ganesha, stay here and provide support for the coast,”
she looks up at tapu koko and nods. “we're gonna handle this.”[break][break]

from the copperajah, selena leaps on her milotic's side as she slither towards the rising tide. delphox positions herself behind her trainer while the deity and the bird dragon hovers just above them. they stop at a safe distance before tapu koko and delphox continue their assault, the tapu producing a massive electroweb to halt kyogre's movement while circe launches shock waves into its right fin.[break][break]

As the Silvally skids to a halt and Orion's heart hammers in his ears, the trammel's shriek draws his gaze to the raging seas. He has time to register the sillhoette of a god, a legend, Kyogre, before the beam of light strikes it with a deafening, dangerous bang. The sea surges up to meet them, and Orion's grateful that Silvally had managed to spirit them away from the coast in time.[break][break]

There's something wrong in the way it twists and writhes; it's suffering.[break][break]

Its rage is misdirected, aimed not just at the aliens who had wrought such destruction upon its seas but on all those who fled from its primal wrath. Orion can only watch in horror as the pulses of origin energy carve through beast and human alike. It feels like treachery to assault a creature deemed divine by so many, but Kyogre leaves them with little choice. Vulnerable organs pulse on its fins, and the councilman draws a shaky breath as his gaze fixes upon them.[break][break]

Silvally understands. Silvally is already one step ahead. It crouches down and forces Orion to dismount before its body once again glows with violent energy. Orion has only time to will it to, "Be careful," before it launches itself toward the corrupted god with a BREAKNECK BLITZ, hoping to slam into Kyogre's RIGHT FIN.[break][break]

Reaching him at last, Hydreigon sets up another REFLECT as Slowking's EXPANDING FORCE targets any Megalopolan in their vicinity.[break][break]

mcflurry screams as her steelix jolts and nearly whips her off its body for the umpteenth time, clenching her teeth through the sea brine. at the same time, it's not the usual fear that clutches her.

no, her usual fear is because she doesn't like hurting people or pokemon. but this kyogre isn't a person. it's barely a pokemon. it's fucking bullshit, is what it is.

the kyogre isn't a moral dilemma for her, or a tragedy. it's another fucking thing she needs to kill before the mission is over.

this is a flawed god that mcflurry wants to murder.

that being said, she keeps up the assault on the left fin and doesn't stop. her golem continues to discharge until there's no voltage left to discharge. abomasnow's shifted from blizzard to sheer cold, trying even harder to cripple the kyogre. her glalie's joined in, as well.

her steelix reapplies its magnet rise through the maddening ocean, trying to stay airborne.

By some miracle, Andrew and his Pokemon managed to make it up towards the mountain. This was before the seaside town began to flood from the presence of the giant blue Pokemon. Andrew briefly looked up at the creature in shock and terror. "Are you fucking kidding me!? We're supposed to fight that!?", he exclaimed.

But as he saw the others going for the fins, he figured he might as well join in. "Stag, Swords Dance! King, Focus Energy!", he'd order. "Screech, drop a Rock Slide on the left fin! Queen, give Screech a Helping Hand!", ordered Andrew.

The Pinsir would begin to set up a Swords Dance, attempting to bolster his strength for what was to come. Meanwhile, the Nidoking would pump himself up, and concentrate his focus. Archeops, going on the offensive, would attempt to drop a barrage of rocks down on the left fin of the Kyogre. The Nidoqueen would give him a Helping Hand in this process.
