Save for the creaks and groans of growing wood and the rustling of leaves, the forest was oddly quiet. There was nothing wrong with that, per se, but Skyler trusted her instincts - or in this case, her paranoia over ghosts jumping at her from the shadows and stealing her soul. Still, Magellan was out there scouting - or beating some poor wild pokémon's butt - so she forced herself to relax. Mateo's words helped. She let herself be lulled into the rhythm of the story; and it was a very curious one. She perked up at the mention of the draconic people (honestly, what a cool name), but kept quiet in order to listen to his next words. Her curiosity grew as the tale unfolded and by the end of it she was enraptured, looking at Mateo with a mix of fascination and wonderment. Skyler wasn't a scholarly type in any way, shape, or form - but both her parents were historians. She'd grown up listening to their stories about past wars, strange mythology and all sorts of cultures. So when Mateo asked her about two titans, Skyler thought long and hard, searching into the farthest reaches of her brain for those stories she'd been told over the years. "Hmmm, no. Can't say I have." Of course, Skyler wasn't the brightest of pupils, so in the end she just shrugged. Still, the way she searched Mateo's face betrayed her investment and curiosity. "What about them?"A bit further down the path, a large figure sank into the shadows, waiting their passage.
