On the fiery path with no fire types his weekly ritual would be unique this time. With Ranton by his side, or literally under his butt, he rode smooth along the fiery path not so much in a rush but rather anxious to see what he could find.

"Ran, lets do a RAIN DANCE..." With a subtle growl his gyarados snaked her body up twisting and swaying in a motion that conjured immediate precipitation. It didn't matter much that he'd be soaking wet, it was laundry day it so everything would be washed one way or another.

With the rain in place, he followed the path and scanned their 'abouts' carefully, open to what pokémon would be flushed out from the drizzle.

Watching a Darumaka waddles past him he pulled on Ranton's horn-crest to keep her from chasing it down.

"Easy girl." He patted her down, soothe her scales with a reassuring touch. "That's not what we're here for." Having only brought one spare pokéball a Darumaka wasn't a high priority, not even one with a fire-typing.

That being said he'd across an icy version of that same Pokémon in the Shoal Cave. Having passed on the opportunity to catch the species twice, he wouldn't pass it up a third time.

So young and naive the cyndaquil wandered in the rain looking for a safe place to hide. Following it slowly and with controlled movement they waited until he came against a wall, only noticing them when it was too late.

It tried to scurry off, "HYDRO PUMP!" but only made it a few feet before the coursing surge or pressurized water drenched it with the force of localized, personalized tidal wave, pinning it between a rock and a force of water it couldn't stand up to.

Ranton used HYDRO PUMP; its super effective!

Pushed to its limits by a single attack it collapsed just after being hit by a pokéball. Already having a Quilava in the camp, the Cyndaquil wouldn't have to fend for itself anymore.

Crimsen attempted to capture Cyndaquil!
