ice age fisting...

kyle's brain defaults to the use of punching moves since it's a tyrantrum in front of him and it would've been funny to see it use its arms to attack. only when he sees ice form somewhere else did he snaps back from his daydream.

"use-"

the prehistoric pokemon's bite encases the vikavolt's body with frost. it tries to squeeze away from the fossil's grip, falling to the ground should it manage to. ice had clipped its wings, and it's left to fend itself without an ability to fly.

"-string shot. field."

with the last of its might, it releases a multitude of webs at the ground. it connects to various walls of the arena, creating a web of silk on every other place one can have a stable footing on.

at least the trainers are safe in their little podiums.

sticky white stuff covers the tyrantrum and the battlefield as the dinosaur lets go of the bug from its icey jawed prison and tries to go in for another bite but it feels its foot suddenly move slower than it wanted to. the webbing was tangled all around it, preventing it from moving. still it would not stop this king of the dinosaurs and pokkenger knew that as well. "good play mate! but if you think slowling us down is gonna save ya you got another thing coming! and that thing is our JURASSIC METEOR STORM!"

with a roar the tyrantrum raised his sticky foot as best as he could before slamming it down onto the ground and causing the earth to crack and jump as small rocks floated all around the t-rex and formed into small skulls of various other fossil pokemon before shooting forward at the vikavolt. the display of an ancient power was impressive considering the pokemon's pyshique, one would assume that a tyrantrum's biggest weapon was its tail or jaws, but pokkenger knew that his pokemon would need to go beyond that limit.

rocks completely bury the injured vikavolt further, giving no chance for the bug to come back. the string shot all over the field does nothing to defend it from its inevitable doom.

the vikavolt falls, and kyle goes back to his rotom.

"will-o-wisp!"

the floating appliance conjures ghostly flames that would charge straight at the tyrantrum. major burns would result from being in contact. it's something to whittle the pokemon down, though kyle would be hoping more for the resulting burns to restrict it more.

as the bug faints a familiar appliance takes its place. under the helmet pokenger sweats as he knows it has at least one move that his dinosaur king would not find pleasant so they would need to delay that as quick as they could. when it spread flames instead of water a breath of relief was had by the masked vigilante even as his t-rex grunted in pain at the flames sticking to his body and burning him up.

before the trainer could issue a command the dinosaur started to trash around violently trying to shrug off the flames. it resorted to swinging around its giantic dragon tail around to swat the the wisps still in the air and at the rotom in order to send it back from where it came from or at the very least leave a very large dent in it. either one works.

burns were supposedly able to reduce force from a pokemon's physical attacks, but the rotom's state before it got knocked off by the dragon tail tells kyle a different story. then again, the rotom was already hurt from an earlier matchup.

it returns to its pokeball from the effects of the move and forces out another pokemon from kyle. he'd rather save it from something tankier in case the last pokemon was that, though circumstances force him otherwise.

"boomburst!"

kyle covers his ears in anticipation as the toxtricity comes out of its ball to replace the rotom in the battlefield, ready to show off its punk rock.

it lands and strums, vibrations triggering a loud sound that results to a massive shockwave towards the opponent.

when the rotom is sent back to its ball another pokemon comes out, this one making a bigger entrance than the rest of the elite four's pokemon as it strums its chest releasing a beautiful power chord and a deadly shockwave that sends the large dinosaur staggering back a few steps with the Pokkenger having to quickly dive out of its path. if only pain from that wave was the first of it but soon both dinosaur and superhero were at the mercy of the toxtricity's song as it boomed throughout the arena. "hey! loud sounds can hear eardrums ya know! but cool song! tyramigo show them-oh arceus it hurts! show-show them how one rocks out!"

his voice was muffled by the sounds surely but the loud dinosaur managed to see his trainer gesturing with his foot stomping onto the ground. with that the tyranosaurus let out a powerful roar as it took a few steps back into the ring and began to stamp the ground it its large feet. with each step the earth underneath it started to crack under the weigh to fits stomping tantrum as the ground split open more and more until it dug its claws into the earth and kicked out a slap of rock at the toxtricity.

the battle went on for the longest time. a six versus six was the proper way to do this, though kyle doesn't really like tedious. over time, the challenger's pokemon eventually bulldoze through his party through sheer strength.

a snarling manectric gets recalled to its pokeball. fight was still in her, but kyle knows that it's way beyond the normal amount of punishment she was supposed to take. grit was respectable, but not necessary in a match like this.

"well, that's the last of my mons," kyle concludes, returning the pokemon back to its ball. "congrats!"

he steps down from his platform to meet kazimir. he meets him halfway with a hand ready for a congratulatory shake- standard procedure, but it serves its meaning well.

"hey, now that we're done, do you mind taking off the mask?" he asks candidly. "i don't really want to go through records on who got a zeraora during the pokeathlon and sort through people there that fits your body type."

a hard and long battle won indeed, as the hero jumped down from his own station to meet with teh elite four member to shake his hand he stopped himself when asked about taking off his mask. it was...something he thought about for a moment. the whole point was to make sure that pokkenger was the one going down into the hall of fame but...it was one of the elite four so...it couldn't hurt right? its not like he's already done that before with Stormy Silph already, then again she knew well before becoming an elite four.

maybe he was just overthinking this.

"well, since you asked nicely." reaching back behind his head to undo the helmet he slide it off his head and shook the sweat and messy blonde mane of hair that laid underneath it and met the e4's eyes with his own blue ones before taking his hand. "name's kazimir wynter. thanks for the battle. hope i managed to really impress ya with my skills. think that's the toughest one i ever had to date."
