He really should look into those, at least the ones that were public maybe that would get him used to normal battles. Or at the very least maybe let him see a few strategies that he himself hasn't thought of. But then again it was quite a bit different from his own style of battling. "That makes sense, sorry for my dumb questions guess I was a bit too curious," he shrugs as he takes a quick glance to his pokemon to see how they were. Watching Sage take up a protective roll over Dodger as he defended them from a Tympole which he let run off. [break][break]

At the short answer Razz was very much confused, yes it was a bit much? Yes it was something that should be expected? Maybe the Ranger just spoke too much of the war while it was all too fresh. Perhaps he should change the subject despite the fact that Remiel might have been one of the few people he could ask about some of the pokemon they've seen. Another time though, "So this person we're looking for, I've heard of their crimes here in Hoenn but since you've joined me I'm guessing they're known in Galar too?" he asked to get of the previous subject.

"There is certainly such a thing as a dumb question, Mr. Kingsman," Remiel responds, noticing a fallen leaf that has perched itself upon his shoulder then flicking it away with a finger. "But I assure you, you have not uttered any during our time together."[break][break]

His pair of Fraxure, in the meantime, hastily chase a Krabby that has made itself known at the bank of the river. The feisty crab encircles them with quick side-steps, snapping its claw at the little dragons when they draw too close. Unfortunately, before Remiel can intervene, Torrance catches one of the Krabby's arm with a CRUNCH when it is distracted fending away his brother. It attempts to turn and unleash a torrent of bubbles but, before it can do so, Volstagg slams it down with a DRAGON CLAW. Then, in brutal fashion, they tear apart the crab limb from limb and eat it.[break][break]

Remiel sighs at the sight of it. Then he goes back to his conversation with Razz as if nothing has happened. "He was an arsonist from Hammerlocke," The ambassador nods. "Adam Promise. Galarian law enforcement lost track of him almost a decade ago. It was later revealed he had stowed away on a ship to Hoenn to join Team Rocket. When the organization fell, he was quickly discovered and captured."[break]

Well that was definitely different answer than he was expecting, though the other seemed to think much more higher of him than he thought of himself so he'll just be silently grateful. He was saved from making a remark as his attentions couldn't help but be brought to the naturally violent nature of the Fraxure as they quite literally torn apart and ate a crabby. [break][break]

Smooth, though it did make him a bit concerned of his own pokemon as they had gone out of sight for a bit as an small explosion could be heard. Lovely, Razz jogged forward a bit to see what it was to watch as Sage as finished off an Alolan Graveler as it went off to lick it's wounds most likely as Dodger begin comforting an injured pikachu. It didn't take long to put two and two together as he walked up and patted Sage on the head, "Good work," he praised to which the quilladin smirked with pride as Razz went to the pikachu with a pokeball. "Let me heal you up later alright, then if you want you can always come back here," he offered the rat pokemon as he tapped her on the head to watch her go into the pokeball, let her decide if she would take the offer. [break][break]

As he got up from attempting his capture he listened to what the other knew about the criminal they were chasing. The arson was informative as it gave the possibility that this guy was a fire type specialist though it still bugged him they were a Rocket member that escaped. It made him paranoid that others could escape as well. "Do you think it's at all possible that he went to escape with them?" he couldn't help but ask as preposterous as it sounded, though the feeling of them not really being gone was always going to linger.

A wild Toxapex suddenly burst out from the river's edge, claiming the leftover Krabby meat for its own after startling away the pair of Fraxure. Torrance and Volstagg did, in earnest, attempt to take their prize back. But the Toxapex's poisonous defenses were simply too strong and, eventually, the two little dragons lost interest and returned to Remiel's side.[break][break]

Their master was busy side-eyeing Razz as they walked. Did he really believe Team Rocket was still around? He would be right, of course. Though the previous iteration, the one known across countless regions for their infamous deeds, had most certainly died. "Perhaps he is hoping to find some remnant of that foul organization. I doubt he will be successful, however. Especially with the League on his tail."

The ranger just watched as the two dragon pokemon seemed to stir up the water, fighting a Toxapex as a little Finneon seemed to try to escape the conflict. As the other's dragons fought the poison type the small fish ended but being knocked out of the water, poisoned from a stray shot. Always being the type to help Sage ran to it's rescue picking it up and running away as it wasn't going to bother with the others as he brought the poisoned fish to his trainer. [break][break]

Mindlessly the Ranger brought out a pokeball to catch the fish, his thoughts in other places at the possibility of the man having escaped to Team Rocket. Of course there wasn't any proof of them but Razz knew they were round. There were the few encounters he had with previous members he's met, and after what happened to the generals? It all seemed much too organized, and he was with them so long now his mind of course can't help but think back to them. Of course the other seemed to doubt him but it wasn't like he could say 'no I was once one of them I KNOW they're still around.' [break][break]

That would go over bad. Besides just because they were gone here didn't mean they were completely gone. Kanto was still under their thumb after all. "If he were a former member he would still have contacts right?" he mutters in thought as he considers the other's words and Razz finds himself asking himself his same old paranoid question 'were they still here?' "Sorry, I know its not much logical thinking here and maybe more of me being overly suspicious, or just a gut feeling, but I think it isn't something to cross out," he comments as he continues to move on for now as his Riolu seems to have picked up a trail of something.

The pair of dragons are cut-off and attacked by an Electrike that pounces out of the bush before they can reach their master. Having confused the Fraxure for Bunnelby, however, and not aware that there were TWO instead of just one, the canine is immediately spooked. Just as it attempts to pivot and run off, however, the pair of them descend upon it with DRAGON CLAWS.[break][break]

"Hm, no, you're right..." Remiel responds, calmly pulling an empty ball out of his pack to save the beat-up Electrike from being mauled next. "The man may still yet have his contacts... though who's to say they're still in business anymore? Furthermore, even if they are, Adam Promise is what you would call... hot." The ball he tossed strikes the electric dog and captures it within its light— much to the dismay of the Fraxure.[break][break]

In the time it takes Remiel to reach down and pick it up, he realizes the slang he used might be misconstrued to mean something else. He places the captured Manectric away before turning back to Razz. "That's to say 'hot' as in 'wanted by the police'..." He explains. "Most criminals are going to want to avoid him, and the attention he draws, as much possible."[break]

Well at least the other wasn't shooting him down completely. Though there was still a part of him that felt embarrassed for even speaking his paranoid thoughts in the first place. He does take a moment to ponder over the other's words. As he ponders he follows his Riolu who leads them to an octillery that was shooting at the trees at something. Or if they were lucky someone? "Go on ahead and see to confirm," Razz tells his pokemon who salute him before going ahead, pokemon coming at someone rather than people was less conspicuous. [break][break]

He does raise a brow at the other's explanation though, "Of course," he replies as if it were obvious before narrowing his eyes in a tad bit of confusion, "How else would that be interpreted?" he questions but he does have his hand in a dismissive manner if they didn't care to answer, "Though thank you for putting up with my paranoid theories, probably just the lack of sleep," he tries to excuse himself

Explaining it would be far too embarrassing, and likely lead to some misunderstandings. Regardless, Razz continues and the prince is happy to change the subject. "Have you not been sleeping well? Meanwhile, the black-haired royal turns to find his Fraxure harassing a Drednaw nearby. They push and prod and nibble before pouncing out of harm's way as it tries to headbutt them and clip them with the side of its jaws. This all seems to be in an effort to retrieve the ripped jacket in its maw, which prompts Remiel to hold out his hand and stop Razz in his tracks. "Look here."[break][break]

Sending his Fraxure away with a sharp click of his tongue and a swift wave of his hand, Remiel calmly walks towards the Drednaw and pulls a piece of beef jerky out of his pack. Crouching down somewhat close to it, he reaches out with this piece, and cautiously extends his other hand out to grab the jacket. "We trade," He says, gauging the Drednaw's mood towards him with its eyes. "Then you come along with me."[break][break]

“A bit of both really,” Razz comments tiredly, and maybe its because he’s tired and it has caused him to let his guard down. Or maybe after multiple times of meeting with the other he has a small built of trust that did help with keeping that same guard down he wasn’t sure. Or who knows could be a factor of keeping so much in for so long that he wanted it out, either way he’d find himself talking into a bit more detail, “I lost... a lot in the war, a lot of my Pokémon ended up losing their lives and now I feel haunted by the idea of did they fight of their own will or am I the asshole for putting them in the position in the first place, so I’ve been working jobs like these more often to keep from thinking about it, but.... I don’t know how well its working,” It takes him a moment to realized just how much he shared has he runs a hand through his hair and pulls as he inwardly curses at himself. He’s suppose to be professional damn it, “Sorry... I over shared... ignored that.” [break][break]

That’s when Remiel seems to have picked up on something. Razz takes in a deep breath to steel himself again, they were on a job, he shouldn’t be thinking of personal problems right now. ”A jacket? Do you think it’s our culprits?” [break][break]

While Razz check in with the prince, his pokemon do check on what the previous pokemon was shooting at. Though all they did was encounter another water pokemon, one that was yelling after someone. When they spotted the other two pokemon the little warrior went to them with tears in his eyes. Apparently whatever was that just passed broke his precious shell, and now he felt defenseless without it, why or why would the jerk do such a thing. The Riolu seems to find the words to encourage them though, seems to convince them that if they came with them they could still be useful or find something to replace it.
