It had been a weeks since he'd been able to get out of the lab long enough to make his trek down Route 116. The bothersome part of it was that he'd fully forgotten about his once-per-week objective.

If he'd managed to keep to this side objective this would have been week seven in Casey hunt. Instead it was only week four.

Not a single thought in his head manifested in reprimand. The time doing research and working the labs weren't done in vain. It slipped his mind to walk route 116 because walking route 116 wasn't as important as his day job.

Of course if he didn't allocate time to this side task, he'd never get this side task accomplished. So here he was yet again, the trio of Metamon at his back. Himself ever curious to see what he would encounter after three weeks of absence, a simple true on his mind and off his tongue.

"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known."

He walked the path to find whatever he might, keeping his mind open and alert.

It wasn't long before he noticed the sniffling and cries of a small pokémon. "A Himeguma." He approached it with caution if it had parents in the area the last thing he wanted was to be stumbled upon getting too close to a Ringuma's cub.

He waited in the brush until its cries became too unnerving to ignore.

It was smaller than he expected and covered in wounds. It's brown fur stuck to itself in places with blood. There was gash on its head and it was trembling. It seemed terrified at the sight of him but too worn down or too torn up to run away.

Getting down to a crouch, "Would you like to come with me?" he offered his hand to the cub only for it to bear its claws ready to fight him off despite its cries. Behind his back he held up three fingers and the three Metamon transformed into three Himeguma each shyly hiding behind his legs.

At the sight of the other pokémon that looked just like it the 'Little Bear Pokémon' retracted its claws and when he reached out a second time to offer his hand the little one took it by the paw, its cries growing louder as it allowed the professor to pick it up and hold it close.

Finally able to drop its guard it began to REST healing from its mysterious wounds.
