IN OCTOBER — the aftermath of the war is spent rejuvenating the region. pokemon and trainers are hard at work, repairing natural landscapes, while clearing fields and mountains of macabre remnants. still, pools of poison remain where naganadel and poipole have fallen... until they are cleaned, poor unsuspecting wildlife may find themselves within these toxic traps, forcing them to become aggressive and hostile.[break][break][break]

a recent rumbling in the desert has caused a whole colony of skorupi to escape the burrows in the sand. however, they seem to be running chaotically, without real thought to a proper process for migration. coincidentally, a tourist group has been traveling the desert and are now in danger of being overrun by these poisonous scorpions! attempt to trap them and prevent them from fleeing in order for the colony to be relocated safely.[break][break][break]

Fernando's Probopass stands near the entrance to one of the colony tunnels. Each magnet segment separates to create a small forcefield that will BLOCK them from escaping. Agitated as they might be, their stingers will find no purchase against the Pokemon's steel body. That allows them to stand long enough for the rest to section off the insects and prevent their frenzy

Stormy does her best to herd the crowd of anxious, terrified tourists. Why on earth Hoenn even had tourists after all of this mess was a clown's tale, but they were here nonetheless. [break][break]

Like a shark through water, the woman's Gabite makes its way through the desert sands, occasionally breaching when it finds prey. The migrating, hyper-aggressive Skorupi are no match for it's SAND TOMBS, the Gabite quite efficient in trapping the wild Pokemon and leaving them behind, unconscious.[break][break]

He released his Klefki, the little Pokémon excited to help its trainer deal with this problem.

”Fairy Lock should slow em down.” Samuel looked down to his little fairy-type, the Pokémon getting the message and then used FAIRY LOCK on the horde of Skorupi, the chains and lock immobilizing the little scorpions and stopping them from moving forward.

This should be enough to help the tourist.

The seaweed of which Dhelmise' chain was comprised was actually the ghastly creature's body; it twists and writhes when it's released unceremoniously into the sandy Hoennian desert. Far from the ocean which Dhelmise called home, it fixes Gavin with an irritated 'stare' courtesy of the eye-like compass on its anchor. He doesn't dignify the look with a response.[break][break]

"Don't let them leave," is all he says.[break][break]

Skorupi are not suitable prey for a creature that dines on Wailord. Had the Pokemon a mouth, Gavin is certain it would scowl at him. It does not, however, disobey.[break][break]

The seaweed twists like a serpent before launching itself across the expanse of sand, catching an unaware Skorupi off-guard and curling itself around the struggling creature before it could think to escape the ANCHOR SHOT. Like a fisherman, Dhelmise reels in its catch and deposits it at Gavin's feet, where he hands it off to one of the Rangers on stand-by to relocate.[break][break]

Rest was not something Razz could afford to get for the time being. Despite the aliens being gone there was still a lot of work to be done in the aftermath and he was going to ensure he did everything he could for the job. This time around he calls out Iris to aide in the process of keeping the skorupi from escaping and hitting tourist near by with the use of CLAMP to hold them in her shell and then back. Why these idiots were touring during such a time, especially when the dangers have grown the Ranger would never understand, but a job was a job.

Lucas Lane bent down and placed his trapinch on the sand. It immediately began digging downwards. The sand moved aside effortlessly; allowing the trapinch to disappear beneath it in what felt like the blink of an eye to the head scientist.

The trapinch burrowed through the sand into the hardened skorupi tunnels. Sand poured in from behind the trapinch as it went on digging through the other opposite wall. It continued its dig endlessly. Always turning back to dig through the established skorupi tunnels. It did so till all the walls resembled swiss cheese and sand poured through them to pervade every nook and cranny.
