this time there is no big entrance, no bombastic shout of proclaiming his victory before the battle even starts, not even elaborate posing going on as the masked superhero enteres the room of the hottest of the elite four members. the sense of familiarity with them breaks down his entire persona as he waves at her form the other side of the room. "hey stormy! guess who's here for a challeeeeeenge~!" while it is clearly pokkenger on the outside it was kazimir himself that was coming through the suit, he had been planning this for a while now and he could't bring himself to get into character with stormy, even if it would make her laugh.

he was feeling pumped up however, it had been a while since the two of them had a serious battle. in fact kazimir couldn't remember any other time aside from the first time they did battle when she was a regular gym leader. now here she was an elite four member and him challenging her, talk about wild. "man...i'm feeling kinda nostalgic. ain't this how we met the first time? me a challenger, you the big boss i had ta get past? brings back memories."[break][break]

She had been scheduled to entertain an elite four challenge, and she was standing idle by the entry-way, discussing with her supervisors and whatnot for the arena on stipulations regarding heat. They had suggested they open the roof for her convenience, which would ultimately be the deciding factor on who her challenger faced.[break][break]

When Kazimir arrives, he arrives dressed in his signature green suit, and she meets his giddy greeting with a shake of her head. She is, of course, beaming from ear to ear.[break][break]

"Awww.. you remembered! Except, last time, you weren't dressed to the nines like this."[break][break]

She pouts, putting on a show of making it look like she was bummed out that he hadn't gone all out for her back then, when she'd just been a regular gym leader. [break][break]

the hero rubs the back of his head with a gloved hand, "its kind of for theatrics really, pokkenger's gonna be the one sitting in that champion seat after all." he knew it sounded crazy the more he thought about it but it was probably the best thing he could do. pokkenger was a hero to people and it only made sense that having a hero be the champion of the league would only bolster the hope in people's hearts. that's what he told himself.

"get my butt kicked? sorry but i think that this proves i can take you on easy." he pulls out a badge case attached to his belt and from it picks out her old badge from her gym leader days and holds it up while grabbing a pokeball from his belt, his helmet helps to hide the smug grin under it. "still i bet ya got a lot tougher since then, but so have i."

with that he lobs the ball and from within his urshifu domon breaks out of it and lands on the ground with heavy footsteps ass it lets out a battle cry and brings up its arms into its fighting stance. as it stares down stormy its muscles tense up as its whole body begins to bulk up with strength and its muscles become bigger than before. all the while pokkenger strikes a pose and points at stormy "so let's see who'll come out on top this time around, weather girl."[break][break]

"Doesn't it get tiring, acting the hero all the time and wearing the mask? Don't you wonder about just.. y'know.. taking it off and just being yourself?"[break][break]

Or does he really see himself as the Pokkenger? She supposes that no matter his answer, she would still love him anyway. He was her best friend, both as Kazimir and as Pokkenger.[break][break]

She chuckles, shaking her head when he whips out his badge case to prove to her just how capable he was at kicking her butt. Her own case remains at home somewhere, though she had to admit he had quite a few more than she had - perhaps she needed to go out crushing gyms soon, soo.[break][break]

"Oh.. I'm a hell of a lot tougher, Kazzy baby."[break][break]

Stormy flexes a bicep and makes a show to kiss it. She winks, chuckling yet again in a loud bout of laughter as he calls her by her pet-name. But she's also caught off-guard by the immense Urshifu before her. She had seen one before, at the top of the battle tower, but she isn't sure she had seen any since. Her own Kubfu hadn't yet evolved.[break][break]

"Damn, dude, what a beast!"[break][break]

But from above, another challenger approaches. The telltale cry of her Moltres sounds, and the legendary Pokemon's shadow covers them all. However, with the grand Pokemon's entrance, a sunny day is put into place. The clouds disappear in favor of the hot sun, and it helps the Moltres' flames burn even hotter.[break][break]

"May the best Pokkenger win!"[break][break]

she probably did have a point, at some point he would need to hang up the cape but that didn't mean he couldn't stop being a hero. honestly all this pokkenger stuff started as him being over zealous about an old tv show an playing pretend. now he's actually being a hero to people and getting himself int all kinds of trouble in order to protect them so was there really need for a mask? these were questions and thoughts that he would put on the back burner for now because he needed to show stormy that he was indeed the best pokkenger between the two of them.

he did have to give her a point in style however as the familiar cry of a large bird came up from overhead and a shadow washed over the arena as the large bird of fire descended bringing with it the bright light of the sun. starting off strong? that was something he liked about stormy.

"okay domon, let's keep our cool and don't let it burn us alright? so hit it with an aura sphere!" the urshifu grunted in acknowledgement as it stared down the legendary bird and put his hands together to form a ball of energy in between his two palms. as it grew it studied the bird and tried to lock eyes with it in order to let it know that it wasn't going to be a easy challenger it could just burn away with its flames, that both it and its trainer were made of tougher stuff, then he released it, the aura sphere that soared through the air and aimed itself right for the bird's center.[break][break]

There is a harsh glint in the beady black of the Moltres' eyes, an understanding and a challenge. From the sky it sizes up its opponent, taking into consideration its sheer size and strength. It would be a formidable opponent, but one that it would defeat.[break][break]

Stormy does not say anything further with regards to commands - she is merely the bird's partner and envoy, not its guide. At least not right now. The legendary bird is more than capable of taking care of itself, especially in the early stages of a battle.[break][break]

And so when the AURA SPHERE beelines it for the bird's chest, Moltres conjures up a tumultuous SCORCHING SANDS boosted by the gust of wind from its TAILWIND. Like a miniature, scorching hurricane, the sand devours the AURA SPHERE in a mess of bright light, trapping it until it fizzles out.[break][break]

With a gust of wind that prompts even Stormy to cover her face from the hot sand, the Moltres pushes the SCORCHING SANDS into the Urshifu before rising higher into the sky.[break][break]

the bird of flames conjured up a sandstorm from beneath it to extinguish the aura sphere like it was nothing more than dust in the wind before sicking its sands onto Domon's direction. "Dete-" Hot sand got into his mouth as it splashed down onto the ground where Domon used to stand, instead the large ursine like pokemon had already jumped to the air to dodge the sands, detecting such a move the moment it saw the bird call upon its desert fury.

the urshifu straightened out its hand flatly as it twisted its body in the air into a twirl to move a bit closer to the moltrest as the hand went in for a chop. while he was mostly suited for ground combat the kung fu pokemon wasn't a slouch when it came to showing that it could also be an aerial ace if it needed to be, such as right now as he put all of his left arms muscles into the attack to try and smack the bird down closer to the ground with its strike.[break][break]

Without warning, the Urshifu kicks off the ground to jump above the hot sand. The wave rolls over the battlefield, dispersing as it is spread thin. Stormy lowers her arm to find that neither Pokemon are harmed, but the hot sand has smothered both she and Kazimir. [break][break]

"Careful the sand doesn't jam your suit!"[break][break]

Stormy laughs, though that laughter soon turns to awe as she watches the Urshifu twisting in the air. Moltres has already moved on, however, not wasting time hovering in one place after making a tornado of sand. The AIR SLASH cuts through the air, powerful in both speed and accuracy. However, Moltres' intensity and mastering of the air helps in allowing him to endure the attack.[break][break]

That, and the BURNING JEALOUSY that extends from its wings surges, enveloping and eating up everything in its path. The fire would immediately BURN on contact, Stormy's avatar powers in full effect. She can feel the heat even from here, though it seems to invigorate her rather than weigh her down.[break][break]

Moltres screams again, boosting forward both on the wind and on his flames, extending his attack further by eating up the distance between them.[break][break]

domon's hand cleaved not through fried chicken but instead a gust of air that blew him back onto the ground instead into a spread eagle. the moltres was nimble, the urhifu would concede that despite its size making him believe otherwise, it also showed off its speed as flames were set out from its wings and onto the poor ursine as he tried to get to his feet. he got up to his knees until they were washed over with flames that pushed out a howl of pain from him as they crawled up his body as he rolled along the dirt to put them out.

"hey hang in there domon! get back on your feet and show them your tougher than steel!" even if steel did get scathing hot when heated up the urshifu knew what his trainer meant, so taking in his words the fighting type quickly rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up to his feet and tightened his body, making it appear to bulk up once more as his muscles grew just a tiny bit larger as he charged forward.

flames still sat in small patches around the battlefield but the urshifu was careful to not spend too long keeping his foot to the ground, the burning sensation he sometimes felt as a toe or more brushed up against it or outright touched one of them was a good reminder of that while he zig zagged his way around to position himself at the bird's flank. the pain was dulled by his vision and mind focused on the legendary bird as he got closer a few inches before bringing both of his legs together and squatting down and shot himself forward with his head aimed like a spear at the bird, for a moment his skull seemed to give of some kind of metallic sheen to it like it was made of iron.[break][break]

She can practically hear the Urshifu's muscles squeeze, straining as he flexes into another bulk-up. But the stronger the Urshifu tries to get, the more jealous Moltres seems to become. The bird becomes relentless, not hesitating in the least to follow up with another burst of BURNING JEALOUSY when it sees the Pokemon roll in the sand to alleviate the burning.[break][break]

More and more waves of hot fire eat up the ground, turning sand to glass as a result of its intensity. [break][break]

It is very reminiscent of her battle against Fernando, except this time the glass hadn't exploded from Moltres' skin like shrapnel.[break][break]

Even still, Stormy clenches her fists and hesitates in preparation, just in case. [break][break]

Moltres is indifferent to the danger and relentless in its pursuit. It doesn't even flinch when the Urshifu comes at him with an IRON HEAD, and instead faces it head on. Almost as if the bird is egging him on, encouraging the ursine to hit it.[break][break]

Probably because the fire chicken has been charging a SOLAR BEAM, boosted by the SUNNY DAY. It launches just as the bear makes contact with the Moltres.[break][break]

the urshifu found his mark on the large bird but its accurate strike on the bird reveal the nasty truth about a pokemon that focuses on hand to hand combat. its short range, which was apparent as the bird unleashed a point blank solar beam on the urshine kung fu master and sent it hurling towards the ground. the sound of glass cracked echoed all around the arena as the point of impact was clouded with dust from the left over sands and flames. as it cleared it revealed kazimir's partner lying in a crater of cracked glass underneath it as it was spread eagle on the floor and groaning in pain, despite the pain that surged through its body it tightened its fists and slowly braced itself up with its elbows, its eyes trained on the moltres.

kazimir was glad that it was doing alright, but now it was clear that they couldn't use beginner tricks on stormy or her own partner, it was time to take things to the next level. "domon! if ya can go a bit longer its time to unleash our full power, don't you think?!" the urshifu's face perked up the words and turned to look at his trainer who slid open a small panel on his gloved hand to reveal a shining stone underneath it. the pokemon gave a nod to his trainer and kazimir returned it in kind as he let out a battle cry and took a fighting pose of his own. "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaai max g change!"

pokkenger touched the stone on his glove and a bright light erupted from it sweeping over the urshifu as a red aura started to envelop it as it started to let out a ferocious growl that turned into a howl as the light and aura mixed into one as its body began to take on a different shape.

"come on! g-maaaaaaaaax urshifu! blow them away with aura sphere!"

kazimir shouted out form the sidelines and got a replying growl from his newly transformed pokemon who put his hands together to form another aura sphere, one bigger than the last one and dashed forward before jumping back up at the moltres and firing it off as close as it could.[break][break]

In a great explosion of power and super-heated green light, shattered glass and a spread-eagled Urshifu is what remains. Smoke rises from the sand and the green solar beam fades away into a thin strand of light before popping out of existence entirely. With a few confident beats of its wings, the Moltres pulls away from the wreckage to watch its opponent get back on its feet.[break][break]

However, it was abundantly clear that neither party were slowing down. This was merely a speed-bump in the plan that Kazimir and the Urshifu both had. Stormy's attention hones in on the young man as he reaches for a secret compartment on his glove. She'd seen it before but had never actually seen it open.[break][break]

The stone that hung from her neck grew warmer in the presence of Kazimir's mega stone. She smirked, putting the pieces together. Well, that and the fact that the ursine was literally expanding in size, challenging Moltres with a ferocious scream-turned-howl. It rattles Stormy, but it is apparent that the legendary bird of flame would not be so esily intimidated.[break][break]

In fact, the Pokemon screams back, its squeal overwhelming and making Stormy squint in pain. With a burst of flame from the bird's FLAME BODY, it powers up for another BURNING JEALOUSY as a result of the Urshifu's mega-evolution and prior bulk ups. Of course, it was overkill at this point because the giant fighting bear was already burned... but the Moltres was still willing to burn it to the ground.[break][break]

Overconfidence, however, was dangerous, as Moltres would come to realize. Up until now, it had not fought another opponent that it couldn't overcome, not even Fernando's Tapu - although Stormy was well aware that that was a close battle, too close. She could see the molten flames coming out now in streams of pink. Moltres' power was building, she could feel it.[break][break]

However, before that could happen, the flaming chicken was met with a face full of AURA SPHERE. It slams the Moltres, forcing the bird to blink rapidly and flap its wings in a mild panic to recover. The Pokemon shudders ith the ENDURE, though it seems to be breathing heavier, pushing to its limit.[break][break]

                            TAGGING Stormy Silph

as the fires burned around the urshifu the bear only smirked through the flames as it did its best to stand firm despite its knees starting to wobble. from the looks of things the moltres wasn't holding it together as much either but it knew that it shouldn't get too over confident. as the sunny day started to fade and the blinding sun bade its farewell the urshiu took up its fighting stance, slamming a foot onto the ground and letting out another roar of intimidation even as it could feel the fire around it licking its fur and singing it in several places.

"looks like its time for the CLIMAX! lets give it everything we got with this next attack!" kazimir yelled out as he punched a fist into the air, the transformed urshifu nodded in response and trained his eyes on the moltres as it reared back its fist. a mix of black and red flames starting to swirl around its fist before punching the air between them sending said flames into a raging torrent of power that shot forward towards moltres in the blink of an eye. it was almost as if domon was looking to end this in one blow once and for all. 

TLDR: Urshifu used G MAX ONE BLOW on Moltres!

With the fading of the sunny day, the closer it waned to Moltres' true potential. One didn't need the sun to boost your flames when those flames were gone.[break][break]

Just as the Urshifu takes its stand and step forward to deliver its one blow, Moltres begins to erupt into a column of flame. Stormy can feel the breath be stolen from her chest as the air crackles with heat. It is suffocating and overwhelming, enough to make one feel faint.[break][break]

The Z-MOVE: IMMOLATION takes form, devouring the ground in a haze of fire and flame. It turns the sand to glass, a smooth platform that glints in the remainder of the sun. Although it's heat no longer fuels the Moltres' fire, it makes the glass blinding.[break][break]

And when the fire fades away, it reveals a still-standing black-skinned Moltres. The bird is rejuvenated and bold, it's pink flames pouring off of it in waves. It has shed it's fire-typing in favor of the dark. [break][break]

This battle has only just begun.[break][break]

notes: moltres uses z-move: immlation - transforming into ultra-burst moltres! it also does damage too but the after-effect is to transform.
