The sight of the Rhydon ahead neither excites of fazes either of them. Without agitating the beast, Fernando keeps his distances, buying time for his Comfey to register the rough distance between the two. Once it feels confident in sowing the seeds of its GRASS KNOT, the vines start to sprout from underneath the Pokemon, ensnaring it and pulling its weight onto itself.

“I will handle all your regrets; observe until you trust, or cease to be.”

By now the Rhydon manages to tear itself out of the numerous vines, charging forward with its DRILL RUN. The PETAL DANCE it runs into batters it into submission and it flees shortly after.

“There are always others.”

Despite their victory Fernando sounds anything but satisfied. He reclines his hand and the Comfey along with it, keeping it close, running his fingers against its petals in a bid to comfort his temper. The silky texture of the Pokemon’s skin proves calming and his voice quiets down.

“I don’t hate you despite all you’ve done. You won’t be the first pain in my ass and you won’t be the last.”

A Silicobra crosses their path and Fernando takes an immediate interest. It’s one of the many Galarian Pokemon he’s yet to encounter in person. Embargo or not, being able to see them in action proves just as elusive as catching them. He wants this one for himself.

“Battle routine set.”

It COILS at their presence, preparing to strike.

“Execute.”

A series of POLLEN PUFFS float toward the wild Pokemon, carried along by the PETAL DANCE that comes shortly after. Each projectile finds their mark at the approaching Silicobra but it’s not enough to dissuade it from lashing out with a BRUTAL SWING. Fernando takes several steps back, maintaining his distance until he’s PARALYZED by the serpents GLARE. Several vines of GRASS KNOT ties the beast down and eventually Fernando’s muscles stop spasming long enough for him to toss a Pokeball.

“Just watch me.”
