Salvatore leapt up to suplex the mega Aerodactyl, an awe-inspiring feat of bravery as he wrapped his muscled arms around its snout.

Only until it shook him off and sent him flying, of course. Novak winced in sympathy. He hadn't seen where the guy had landed, but he sent Sequoia to go and try to retrieve the body.

Zac's Onix Smacked Down the Aerodactyl, slamming it to the ground with the attack as the predator wailed in pain. Foxglove's Hypnotizing attacks finally paid off, the berserk Aerodactyl's struggles ceasing as it fell into a fitful slumber.

Novak wasn't sure how long that would last. Sleep induced in battle didn't often last as long as actual sleep, and he was afraid that the mega-evolved Pokemon would not be happy when the sleep wore off.

Novak threw a Pokeball to try and capture the Aerodactyl while it was still asleep, and prayed to Arceus that it would work as he watched Sequoia anxiously.

And then there were two.
The wild-man had disappeared, and that slick greaser had just been crushed by the crashing Aerodactyl.
Thankfully, the debonair gentleman had put the Aerodactyl to sleep, and as the Pokeball stopped wriggling, Zac let out a sigh of relief. "Phew! Easy as that, ay?" Zac said, looking around at the devastation. Onix lay coiled around the Pokeball, breathing hard. His boulders were cracked from the impact. "Kev! Kev mate, are you okay?"
Onix's eyes flashed red as Zac approached. "Buddy? What's going on with your eyes?"
Kev's eyes flashed again, and a steely sheen passed over his rocky body. The Onix twisted on the ground, rock grinding against rubble, and the metallic gloss came again. It stuck this time, and the wounded Kev looked up at Zac with red, heavy-browed eyes. With a shout of delight, Zac wrapped his friend in a big hug, pressing his face against the the cold steel. The newly-evolved Steelix pulled itself up and let our a roar of triumph.

It was finally over.

The Pokeball stayed still in Novak's hand, and Zac's Onix, in the aftermath of the epic fight, evolved into its final form.

"Congratulations," said Novak cordially. The evolution of a Pokemon was always something to celebrate. But for now, there were more pressing matters.

He considered the guy who had fallen, knocked out by the Aerodactyl. Novak had no idea how the guy would survive if he wasn't given medical attention as fast as possible.

"I'll take this one to the hospital," Novak said, Sequoia hoisting the limp body up with his many arms. "It was good working with you, sir. But I think we're in a hurry."

He released Yarrow the Kirlia, leaned down and touched a hand to Yarrow's head, and reached out with his other hand to touch Sequoia and the other guy.

And the four of them vanished.
