Hendrix was born and raised in Freezington, Galar – a city well detached from the region itself. While initially a striving farming village in the past, it was now plagued by constant snow, ruining the plants in general.

As a young child, Hendrix did not have it easy. His parents were farmers, hard at work in trying to survive and due to the village’s stark conditions, it was hard for them to financially get by and education wasn’t openly an option for him. Still, he was unsatisfied by his parents lifestyle and strived to learn.

Fortune would smile upon him as Macro Cosmos would begin a small expansion within the area itself for reasons unknown to him, Hendrix saw an opportunity and would constantly trespass to learn all he could. While initially troublesome for the scientists, he proved to be far more mischievous and cunning, managing to dodge security with his small size as he would visit and occasionally borrow books.

He’d eventually become a regular that the staff would eventually tolerate his presence, even offering a chance to move to the mainland to study. Seeing his eagerness to learn and study abroad and to give him a better life, his parents would direct what funds they could to send him across; though with the help of Macro Cosmos, the fees itself wouldn’t be too much.

Due to his surroundings and somewhat bright mind, Hendrix would pick up engineering as a hobby – later taking it as a major study in his adult life.

Thanks to his upbringing and hardships from having to watch his parents and even himself suffer and struggle in trying to get by, Hendrix developed a just mindset, feeling the urge to help the weak when he can. While his initial goal was to work under the employment of Macro Cosmos as an engineer, he’d eventually turn his attention and career towards police work instead.

Initially struggling as an officer, Hendrix’s tenacity, stubbornness, and hard work would eventually pay off as at the age of twenty-two, he’d manage to catch the attention of the International Police who’d eventually recruit him thanks to his merits and engineering background.

Hendrix would serve for two years before leaving as international terrorism would soon plague regions and war would rage on in Hoenn. Due to the interpol’s inability to due much, he’d leave for the recovering Hoenn to put his engineering and detective skills to better use.
